I had a frustrating experience here that left a bad impression. I asked for a water cup for my toddler and was given one without a lid. When I asked if they had lids, the employee (a young kid behind the counter) said no, but that I could buy a fountain drink if I wanted a cup with a lid for my toddler. They offer kids meals, but apparently expect you to purchase a separate fountain drink just so your child can have a lidded cup. Pretty unreasonable. Having to go back and forth at the counter over something this basic definitely took away from the experience. read more

My 12 year old son and I love this place. While he goes for a more traditional cheeseburger with the usual fixings, I do more of a create your own burger that has something...something ...bleu cheese...something...more bleu cheese. Sooo goood. Their fries aren't the best but aren't the worst. They're good. The shakes, though, are worth the calories I am sure they pack on. Seriously, you must try the shakes. Service is always friendly. The only downside is that the wait can be a bit much. I will call it "perfection takes time" and down my shake all the same. read more

Yummy! We've tried the Stand twice now, and it's really good. This is a family restaurant, with plenty of seating and three tvs. It would be perfect for a team outing after a game. Considering everything costs a fortune these days, we think this place is reasonably priced for the portion sizes. We've tried the Onion stack and Havarti mushroom burgers, chips & guac, and their shakes. Their burgers are filling, whatever seasoning they use is tasty, buns fresh. The shakes are decent size, not quite the size of shake shack, but tasty nonetheless. We've also tried the Chimichurri steak salad. It was a little too lemony, but I'd get it again with the dressing on the side. Overall, The Stand is now one of our regular spots! read more

I got two hot dogs, the mushroom burger, cucumber limeade and Thai tea milkshake on uber eats. The hot dogs were great with a good selection of toppings although they kind of skimped on the veggie toppings and I would also like to see sauerkraut as an option.. A lot of places make disappointing hot dogs but this place satisfied my craving. I recommend a try. Although the toppings had me exited, the mushroom burger was dry. I ordered a medium pink patty so it would be juicy but it was a little too pink. And the mushrooms and patty were a little dry. When I make burgers at home I'm using fresh lean beef and it always comes out pink center but hot and juicy. I don't know why it never turns out that way in restaurants. Little disappointed with the burger but I will go back to try the French soup burger. The cucumber lime was nice but small and no ice so it was warm. They should use a larger cup on put a good amount of ice and a squeeze more of lime. The Thai tea milkshake was nice but could go a little heavier on the Thai tea. Over all a good experience with some interesting options and great hot dogs. read more

Came in for dinner tonight and we got great service from Joe. He helped clean a booth for us and recommended his favorite sandwiches, the new Chicken Pesto Melt substitute the bun for toasted sourdough and the Short rib grilled cheese. We used the app to order both of his suggestions and added pickled jalapeños and banana peppers and bacon to our pesto chicken. Service was quick and I probably should have added a note that we were dining in, so it all came out packaged. However in the end, it was probably a good thing because we had 1/2 a sandwich left so could just bring it to go! The Chicken Pesto Melt was excellent. Joe was right when he said he's eaten it for 5 straight days and still likes it! The short rib grilled cheese was good, but a little bit too salty for my taste. Came here around 1 pm on a Sunday. The line to order wasn't too long, and we were able to easily find seating. They have various NFL games playing from multiple TVs, so this would be a good casual spot to come enjoy sports games. There are also small containers of pickles that you're able to grab for free, and honestly, these were probably the best part of the whole meal. However, we waited over 30 minutes for our food, which only consisted of two burgers and a side of sweet potato fries. The burgers were also a bit greasy, and the fries were a bit under fried. For the price and the wait, I definitely think there are some better burger places around. read more

The Stand has recently expanded to Tustin, and it is certainly a much-welcomed addition to the already vibrant local burger scene. It is an order-at-the-counter type casual dining restaurant. The décor is contemporary, and the place feels spacious and airy. Outdoor patio seating is also available and is always pleasant on a beautiful Southern California day. Their signature - which is also my favorite - is The Stand Burger with their secret "stand sauce". Lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions, and pickles are standard toppings. There are also free toppings such as banana peppers, relish, onions, etc. that you can add at no additional charge. Premium toppings such as cheese, bacon, fried egg, or avocado cost anywhere from $1.00 to $1.50. There is also a "build your own burger" option. My other favorite is onion soup burger which comes with a very rich onion au jus for dipping. Be warned that the strong onion component of this burger could be overwhelming for some people and is strictly for onion lovers only! For a place best known for their burgers, the menu is actually very extensive and includes a large variety of salads, wraps, and sandwiches. And when you get a chance, don't forget to try their quarter pound "The Stand" hot dog which is always freshly grilled. read more

I thought this was just ok - the portion size was decent and most parts of the salad were good, but the Ahi tuna itself was really frozen and kind of chewy which ruined the experience a bit for me. At the high price point, it personally wasn't quite worth it. There is plenty of seating, including booths, and the workers are usually pretty friendly! I been here twice with coworkers for a team lunch and a late dinner. Two things that stand out here is the great selection of beers. To eat I had the mushroom burger! Perfectly made and delicious, so I recommend it. Side of fries are also a good choice. When we did come late (less than an hour till close) the staff was cool with us hanging out and having beers until they almost closed. Thank you for that! Can't believe I just discovered this restaurant, and it's been around since 2003! The ahi tuna salad was great. Generous portion of seared tuna, combination of fresh ingredients, and flavorful. The ABC burger came with avocado, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and ranch. I appreciate being able to add on any of the listed condiments for no additional cost. I would order medium rare next time because the medium was cooked medium well. The most memorable aspect of our visit was the outstanding customer service. The food here is great. The rest of this review is for the owner. Today the restaurant is understaffed and doesn't have any condiments or napkins out. There's consistently been a line of people waiting at the counter just for napkins and sauces. An employee told me "yeah, management gets weird about the napkins." Don't be penny wise but pound foolish. You can manage it better and reduce customer frustration. read more

The Stand is SO GOOD! After passing by it so many times and hearing many great recommendations from friends, I was finally able to check it out and it did not disappoint! First off, huge points to the super friendly and helpful staff. Even though you order at the counter, the team goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and answer any questions you may have. Second, the burgers were fantastic! We got the ABC burger and the Shroom burger, both which were delicious. Plus, their selection of sauces is impressive (so many to choose from & no extra charge - major bonus!). While you are definitely paying more on the premium side for a burger, it is well worth it! You can tell everything is made from quality ingredients and I am don't mind paying for quality food. So glad I finally stopped by - I will for sure be back! read more
