Went here on a Saturday afternoon after a soccer tournament. This was my first time visiting. We didn't have reservations, but only waited a few minutes for a table. Since we had just come from a soccer tournament, we were still dressed casually, including my son who was still in his soccer uniform. I felt a little out of place because everyone else was dressed nicely. Our waiter Eddie was amazing--super friendly and patient. He answered all of our questions, made great food recommendations, and even suggested the perfect amount of food for the three of us to share. Eddie went above and beyond and asked my son what position he played in soccer. He mentioned that he played soccer himself, which was such a nice personal touch. My boyfriend also asked if they had other locations, and Eddie told us about their other locations and even mentioned that this location will eventually be moving into the old El Torito location in the same shopping center. And the was amazing! I can't stop thinking about it! The three of us shared the beef kebobs, angel hair pasta, and salmon tacos. I would recommend them all, especially the past and kebobs. They also had live music that evening, which was a great bonus! I just wish the music was turned up a little bit so we could hear it better. Overall, such a great first experience. The food was incredible, Eddie was fantastic, and the atmosphere was great. I will definitely be coming back and trying this place again! read more

Had a wonderful cucumber mocktail. Very upscale bistro. Pleasant staff. Sad to see that all of the surrounding stores were closed. Had heard that Zov's will eventually moved and the buildings will be torn down and housing with stores will be built in it's place. Came here for dinner with some friends and we had a good meal. The staff here are very friendly, and there is enough seating for larger parties. The food is a little pricy for what you are getting, but in the end it is tasty. I ordered the chicken kebab and the chicken was seasoned well and cooked nicely. The rice was also pretty good. It was my first time coming here for lunch yesterday with a friend. Ambiance was spacious & it had a nice chill, relaxing vibe. Service was attentive & excellent. Their menu had a lot of good options to choose from. I'd normally go for the kebab but since we weren't starving, we decided on the chicken salad & lentil soup to share. The lentil soup was different from what I'm used to having at other places. It was lacking flavor & just okay. The chop chop salad & the palliard chicken salad were great. However, chop chop salad tasted better. Everything in that salad blended well together & it just had more flavor in my opinion. I would order that again. The other salad had tad bit too much goat cheese which I didn't like. Overall, I rate this experience a 3.5 stars. I'd like to come back & try their kebab next time. read more

Review for the bakery: ordered a chocolate box cake and it was divine! Decadent with beautiful chocolate shavings on top and even an entire halo of chocolate around the entire cake. The cake itself was super moist and I appreciated the mousse to cake ratio (I feel like some places fill in with too much mousse and not enough to cake). I ordered a few days before and they didn't even take payment in advance! I just paid when I picked up. Delicious cake! My first visit here, a very unique and cool place! It has two sides, one side is the breakfast and bakery, the other is lunch/dinner. It's one big restaurant but two completely different entrances for each restaurant you want to go to. The lunch/dinner side is a very open space with a fireplace and great ambiance!!! I will definitely be back to try that side but today I went for the breakfast and bakery. Wow! You won't be disappointed the quality and atmosphere as well as flavors are great. Everyone I feel can be a harsh critic and it must be hard to please everyone but if you look how much work the restaurant puts into all the details and it's ingredients it really is a great place. Loved the atmosphere the moment we walked in, seemed like the perfect family date night restaurant with a live guitar player. We called in about an hour prior to arrival and were accommodated on a Friday night which was highly appreciated. We skipped the appetizers because we weren't very hungry and went straight to entrees (I don't think our waiter appreciated that lol!). The food was decent, I had the seafood linguini which lacked flavor, but was cooked well. The others in our party did enjoy their dish. We topped off the night with dessert which was delicious! Service was OK, we weren't asked if we wanted anything else or even offered dessert, we had to chase down a hostess to order it. This place was packed for lunch. Make sure you have a reservation. Service was fast and friendly. I had their two kabob plate which had a big steak and chicken kabob, rice and mixed veggies. This was a very good meal. The pieces of meat were huge and tender. It came with a forgettable sauce, wish it was a garlic paste or something. I don't know whether the opening of the San Clemente location and the reshaping of the Tustin Enderle Center have diverted management's attention, but the level of service at Zov's Tustin has noticeably declined over the past several months. Last week, we brought out-of-town guests to Zov's because, historically, it has been one of our favorite and most reliable dining experiences. Unfortunately, we left disappointed. We wanted our guests to experience the quality and hospitality that Zov's has long been known for, but the service fell well short of expectations. This was particularly frustrating because I had already spoken with two different managers regarding the recent decline in service. In an effort to avoid another disappointing experience, when we checked in with the hostess, we specifically requested one of their experienced servers (Hannah or Yvette). (Sadly, now when we come to Zov's Tustin, we scan to see what servers are working before we get to the hostess and make a request.) We were seated in Hannah's section, but instead a gentleman came to the table and began taking our drink orders. At that time, the restaurant was not busy. As the evening progressed, it became apparent that our server was also tending bar and became increasingly occupied as Happy Hour traffic picked up. After our entrees were finished, we waited approximately ten minutes with dirty plates on the table. Our water glasses were empty, and we were hoping to order coffee and dessert. Eventually, I had to wave down another server for assistance because no one had checked on our table. That server removed our plates and took our dessert order. However, when the desserts finally arrived, the bartender delivered them and even commented that the ice cream had melted. Despite acknowledging the issue, nothing was done to correct it. Having worked in the restaurant industry myself, I understand that great service is built on teamwork, awareness, and efficiency. I have previously mentioned to management the number of times we have observed servers, bussers, and even managers walking through the dining room empty-handed while tables around them needed attention. Effective restaurants train employees to constantly scan the dining room, assist where needed, and never miss opportunities to clear plates, refill beverages, or check on guests. At the price point we paid--approximately $280 for our meal--there is simply no excuse for this level of service. We continue to enjoy Zov's and want to see it succeed, which is why I felt compelled to bring these concerns to your attention. My hope is that management will take a closer look at service standards and staff training so that loyal customers can once again enjoy the consistently excellent dining experience that made Zov's a destination restaurant in the first place. read more

My son had the short rib papparadelle, I had the Parmesan crusted chicken, and my husband had the flank steak with fingerling potatoes- everything was perfect! I came in for a lunch my wife and I, we ordered a sampler and two main courses. Unfortunately, all the food came out at the same time, which completely threw off the experience. By the time we were ready to eat the mains, everything had gone cold. For a $120 lunch, I expected much better execution and service. The flavors, which are usually spot-on, just didn't hit the mark this time--maybe because everything sat out too long. We barely touched the food, ended up wrapping it to go, and left pretty frustrated. First time here. We invited our cousins who were visiting from Australia. We arrived as soon as they opened, for brunch. Very nice restaurant, lovely ambiance. Two lovely gentlemen came and chatted with us, I assume, they were the owners. The food is Mediterranean. My husband and I ordered vegetarian options but our guests ordered the meats. They loved the food very much. It was a very hot day, we were experiencing a heat wave, I wish they had the Airconditioner lowered a bit more. Overall our experience here was very good. A truly excellent spot! Came here for lunch after having been a fan of Roxy's for a long time (gone too soon!) and absolutely loved the ambiance, the food, the drinks, everything. Our server was efficient (important for a large working lunch group) and the lavender lemonade, calamari (NOT fried, in a delicious sauce instead), mezze platter, and chicken paillard were all fantastic. If you like a heavily dressed salad, ask for extra on the side, but if you like the flavors light, they do a very nice job not letting the balsamic overwhelm the dish. read more
