The fried okra is tasty but the highlight was the banana pudding. It was unbelievable. We did the shrimp tacos, low country boil and seared tuna. The sweet tea hits and the staff is super nice. We sat inside but next time I think I'll choose outside for the vibe. It's a solid choice. Old gas station reimagined as an oyster shack. Nicely done, and lots of customer flair with the dollars on the wall. Service was down home, friendly, efficient, timely. Came here after a recommendation and was not disappointed. Beautiful, plum, and delicious oysters. The shrimp boil was smaller than anticipated but tasty. Parking is limited. This year we visited three times for lunch over a two-week span. Love the downtown location and how they've decorated both inside and outside. Our server each time was Christina and it's worth visiting just to chat with Christina (and of course her excellent service)! We had baked oysters - James choice sampler - rockefeller, parmesan and garlic butter and the station (Monterey jack, crab meat, bacon, sherry wine) - all very good. Additional food included - fried shrimp and grouper basket (good shrimp - thin pieces of grouper), fried okra (great), crab cakes (very good), grilled shrimp basket (great), sweet potato fries (good), raw oysters (very good), fried grouper backet (good), fried grouper tacos (good but lacking in ingredients and shell a bit hard) and great unsweet tea. Let's start by saying the service is outstanding! Atmosphere (I sat outside) is great. Oysters were mediocre but we did hit it up during the oyster harvesting stop in Apalachicola Bay. Shrimp was very over cooked, tough and flavorless. Clam strips were very tasty and tender. I will give them another shot since harvesting has reopened for 2026. read more

Cool little place in an even cooler town! The restaurant appears to have been an old gas station hence the name I guess. This place was delicious though and worth the beautiful 30 minute drive along the gulf. Of I had the get the oysters in the oysters capital and these did not disappoint! This is my second time here while passing through! I found this place 4 years ago when I moved to Orlando and passing through and stopped on a whim. I've been talking about it since; found out it was a side-route but still an opportunity to pass through on the way home from vacation! My boyfriend is now hooked on it! Fun atmosphere, very much so a local based establishment but they're so welcoming to the tourists just as well! The food is absolutely divine! For what you get, this place is expensive! My $18 fish sandwich was in no way a delicacy. I didn't think my wife's fried scallops seemed to be worth $19 either. The grits were nasty. The service from our waitress was great. No complaints there. I do have an aversion to being called "bud" or "dude" from a host, though. Omg!! On our way home from Panama City beach we stopped for oysters in Apalachicola!!! The best decision ever. We had a dozen raw oysters that were so fresh you could swear they were just caught. We had the crab cakes and these two huge patties came out with tartar and ramoulede sauce came out. It was all crab, very little breading. The finale was the 12 baked oysters three ways - Rockefeller, Parmesan and the Station. The size of the oysters were amazing, they were lightly cooked but still juicy. The size of the oysters was so surprising as we had terrible oysters in Panama City that would make anyone hesitant to order baked oysters anywhere. But this place made me a believer again. This will be our stopping point anytime we are headed to Panama City. read more

When traveling in the Florida Panhandle area..... We almost always make a point to make a stop here. It's an old gas station turned into an Oyster restaurant. Fabulous tasting oysters with a great staff and the decor is great to look at with all the old gas station/ oil signs. Our Oyster Shuckers & bartenders today were Jacob & Delvin (called Doug... as we were told), Fun to watch them shuck oysters so quickly and they are shucked right in front of you.... Fabulous place. We're here for only 3 days.... They are closed on Sun & Mon. Lunch on Tuesday was a great treat... hadn't had oysters in quite awhile. Authentic hometown Apalachicola environment with fresh caught, fresh cooked seafood being served, along with many other options. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendly service too. Since I'm from out of town, I chose something I just can't get at home - the grouper fingers which were delicious, deep fried strips of grouper. So delicious! And I also loved the coleslaw with the creamy sauce. My husband had the deep fried bay scallops which were quite tasty also. We had a great dinner here! We were a party of 8 and they accommodated us easily. Server was very friendly and helpful. Spot is a converted Gas Station so has some interest in the ambiance. Oysters ( a local specialty) were particularly good here, large and fresh! We started the meal with Raw Oysters and an order of Cheese Curds. I ordered the Shrimp Po Boy with Sweet Potato Fries and thoroughly enjoyed it. The oysters were great! But I made the mistake of ordering the Conch fritters as an appetizer. After eating two I realized there was no conch in the conch fritter. The waiter said they had no control because they bought the conch fritters already mixed. They just deep fry the stuff. Ok. But on the way out, I asked to speak with the owner. I told him my experience. He then accused me of eating all of the fritters only to complain now at the cash register. I told him what I ate and then I simply pulled each fritter apart and found no conch. The owner said it all comes in a batter and they scoop it out per order. My question was, how could each scoop of batter have a chunk of conch in it? The owner was a bit upset, went to the cash register and flipped me a ten dollar bill and said as he walked away "the batter contains conch". Well, if he would put his hands into the batter, he'd find no chunks of conch. So oysters are good. Don't order the conch fritter, and don't critique product to the owner. read more

He was not wearing gloves, nor did he wash his hands before he picked up the oysters and the toppings and put them on the tray. I love this place, especially when Christina is my waitress. I drive over 60 miles when I have people from out of town come to visit, to give them a taste of olde time Florida. Unfortunately today a taste of old time Florida was an ignorant redneck in a jack up pickup truck pulling up in the front of the outside eating area in his diesel truck smoking out every one trying to enjoy their meal. They seam to think that the fact that they had 2 dogs in their trucks, they could go inside to eat while everybody on the patio could suffer their noise and diesel smoke. Always a go to for us when shopping in Apalachicola. Lunch on Wednesday beforeThanksgiving. We got there around 1215 and there were quite a few large families. We were placed on the waiting list and told the wait would be about 15 or 20 minutes. We were seated outside within 5 minutes. We had attentive service and enjoyed a beautiful late fall day in Florida on the patio. Portions are good. Two of us ordered tacos-fish and shrimp which each came with two sides. The cheese grits are solid. We would have loved to get the potato salad because it is so good but they were out. Staff is always hustling and helping one another to ensure customers are well taken care of. Full bar and beer on tap and by the bottle.
