What's not to like about this local gem? Service, food, and good vibes. Omg get the teriyaki wings, top 5 on my list.

Great neighborhood bar to watch the game at. The background music keeps your head bopping. The beer and shot specials and variety of beers offers something for everyone! My favorite is the Beer Hug! The cocktails are flavorful! The customer service by Monique is 5 star. She is personable and professional! The seating is comfortable. You can see televisions from every seat in bar. Restrooms are clean and spacious! I will be back!

Naj and I went to The Steel Mill to chill and chat for a little. It was a nice spot on Bushwick Ave. in Brooklyn NY. The restaurant had an unusual decor looking like steel hence the name The Steel Mill. The bartender was so cute and friendly. She is from Ukraine. She was quick with getting our drinks which was Margarita from the draft. It was so refreshing. The meal was just what we needed to fill us up. Naj had the wings, I had shrimp tacos and we both shared the nachos. We visited a couple of more times and will definitely go again especially for the margaritas!

Mocha Moms Brooklyn has their holiday party last night here. It was catered by Bushwick Grind, which has a cafe. The space is perfect. The staff pleasant. The food was delicious. They have a lot of outside space too. I definitely plan on going back and this will probably be a regular hangout spot for ne

Date night with hubby is always great here. Throwback Thursdays with a great mixture of music. A great crowd and good vibes. The food was delicious and especially with JR's touch. The bartender made nice strong drinks with a smile. Tonight was also cigar night. Shout out to Carpe Diem cigar club.

My friends and I were walking back home and wanted to stop by and grab some Latin food on the way so we came across this place. Immediately I was pulled in because it's such a cute space ! They ended up ordering 3 pupusas and I ordered "chicharron de cerdo" (pork rinds) with some scrambled eggs with tomatoes, bell peppers and onions, some beans and sweet plantains. This should've never taken an hour to make. We got there at 4:30 and left at 5:47... my friends food should've taken at most 15-20 but then when theirs did come out we had to wait an additional 25 for mine to come out. I was willing to ignore this but people came afterwards and left before us. We weren't even offered anything to compensate our time. To top it all off when I got home and checked my food I saw that the "chicharron" was actually pork chunks instead and very hard to bite. I only got 3 pieces..... 3 pieces took an hour to make? Don't get me started on the lack of flavor this food had. Such a disappointment, wish I never spent my money here and I never will again. I recommend ordering from somewhere else if you want flavorful Mexican food that is prepared quickly and accurately. I really want my money back.

I've walked by this establishment multiple times and finally decided to give it a try. My friend and I went on a Saturday around 4pm. The bartender was very nice, she recommended a drink which was delicious but we also ordered appetizers which were disappointing. We ordered a quesadilla, one taco, a shrimp skewer and wings. The only item that was flavorful were the wings and it was because of the barbecue sauce. The rest of the food was very bland, little to no flavor. We didn't finish the appetizers and we definitely didn't want to take them home. This is a cute spot with a lot of potential but the menu needs a redo.

Update 5/14. This place could be a gem. But as usual shitty attitudes had to come into play. Rude bartender. Liked the first guy a lot more. He was pleasant and that encouraged me to want to bring other patrons. There was a long wait to order and in between drinks, also it's not my fault that you are under staffed. It's really not, then telling me "I don't know who lied to you", when I asked for the Hibiscus Margarita I previously posted here as HH. Fine if you changed YOUR menu but what's the attitude about? After paying our bill, I went to the store for cash and gave it to the barback that helped us. I only tip people who do their job. The owner. As much as I try to support. He picks or chooses who he welcomes. I have been here consistently for three weeks empty or full and nothing. I'm not looking for friends. It's just freaking awkward. Food: Not sure what happened but it went down hill. 2nd week it wasn't great and 3rd week it was worse. We got some simple veggie nachos to share, that we didn't finish. They were just gross, chips were weird, sparse with toppings, and the cheese sauce was unappealing. Sigh. I was so happy at first!

This location as called the steel mill and yet contained no steel. Me and my group 8 friends were incredibly disappointed by the lack of such an important alloy. This is false advertising and another example of why this world is so challenging for elements to live in. If I could give a zero I would do better next time.

The drinks are reasonably priced, and I highly recommend the Negroni--it was excellent. Our bartender was friendly, attentive, and made everyone feel welcome. One of the bar's most charming features is that it's service-animal friendly. During our visit, a friendly husky wandered around greeting patrons, adding to the relaxed, neighborhood feel. They also have a resident kitten named Whisky, who was equally sociable after waking from his nap. The food menu is small, but the pigs in a blanket were surprisingly delicious. Another nice touch is that they encourage guests to bring in food from nearby restaurants, making it easy to enjoy a meal alongside your drinks. The Evergreen is a cozy neighborhood dive bar tucked into a residential corner of Bushwick, at the intersection of Moffat Street and Evergreen Avenue--a fitting inspiration for its name. The interior has a dark, rustic character that feels authentic and inviting. Open until 4:00 AM every night, it's an ideal spot for both an after-work drink and a late-night gathering. The bar is welcoming to everyone and has a great atmosphere. There are plenty of ways to stay entertained with shuffleboard, pinball machines, and arcade games, with a small outdoor space perfect for summer nights. Overall, The Evergreen is a friendly, unpretentious neighborhood gem with great drinks, warm hospitality, and plenty of personality. I'll definitely be returning.

This show was the first of two in the USA with the second being on the West Coast. It would start on the very early side (3PM) so I headed out there via the MTA and while the ride was long, it was more straightforward than I would have first thought. There are currently quite a few clubs for shows like this in Bushwick and Williamsburg but today's adventure was going to be my very first time at Purgatory. Once onsite, I went in to meet with the artists manager since I was going to do some PiercingMetal stuff at the show. The bar part was not yet open but its a nice sized bar with plenty of chairs around it and a couple of smaller lounge areas that I really liked the vibe of. Outside in the front there were a number of small tables and chairs forming a sort of patio space. Their rather remote location probably let's them do this with relative ease and the train is right near them so if you're out there you can watch them go back to the city or deeper into Brooklyn. There was also a photo booth area downstairs if you like that kind of stuff. Upstairs is a small but rather awesome concert/event space. The stage is a tight one and I felt that the room itself would fit about 75 people. Spatially speaking, if you've a three piece of guitars, singer and drums you'd be okay but the kit needs to be small or digital and you need to be mindful of the space you have to share. This might be great for an intimate acoustic event or even a live podcast of some kind. I felt that the lighting was good for the artist I got to see and the sound was solid and a nice surprise. There is an upstairs area reachable by a gated stairwell but I think this is for tech and artists waiting to go on stage. There is also a small bar upstairs and an alcove for artists to sell merchandise. I was there to see an artist from Japan named Isiliel, and this was one of her two US shows. I didn't see any notion of food being served at this place so I apologize if they do and I didn't make note of that. There was an open Wi-Fi signal which let me do some social media between groups. Depending on who the performance is from I'd definitely come here again. I don't know the general area so cannot even determine what other options might be around here but the folks behind Purgatory have really set up a cool spot.
