The Stella is such a lovely property right outside of College Station. College Station is so super close, but it's a totally different vibe here. I prefer this vibe. I absolutely LOVE their lush robes. They are unique too not the same traditional white robes you see at other hotels. The rooms are spacious, chic, clean, 2 complimentary Evian water bottles(more if you request) and a lovely Nespresso machine. Free parking. I slept like a baby in their comfy bed. The staff is helpful and courteous. There is a lovely bar right next to the lobby and plenty of grounds to take a jog, play some corn hole or just enjoy the views. Really pristine and wonderful area to stay.

Modern and spacious the Texas way this hotel is an ideal luxurious place for your visits at Texas A&M. Visiting the school as my son was accepted as a freshman at the Bush School of Government and Public service. The hotel is modern with a classic cowboy vibe. We do love the Howdy ways! The housekeeper woke us up at 8am which was not cool as we were talking until 2am! Otherwise our bedroom is spacious and we appreciate the access to the lake is great!

First time staying here and definitely not my last. I frequent the BCS area and this hotel is definitely my new favorite. It's a Marriott property so if you're a member, be sure to get your points in. Outdoor area is very inviting with nice walking trails. Rooms are large and very clean. Didn't get to try the bar and restaurant but it was packed when we checked in. Front desk was friendly and courteous. Plenty of parking space in front and back. Close to TAMU! Don't forget to visit their coffee shop POV!!

Lots to like about this property... and a handful of misses. First the pros: 1) Being newish, the hotel looks and smells fresh. The decor uses the beauty and warmth of woods to lend a hint of rustic amidst artsy, modern elements, and it works. 2) My room is incredibly spacious, and I love that there are hard floors and two large windows that fill the room with lots of natural light, which is a must for me. 3) Bed bed is HEAVENLY, and the linens are smooth and luxurious, and the towels as soft and fluffy. 4) The restaurant, Campfire, is excellent! Delicious food and great service. 5) They have an excellent whiskey lounge called Hershel's bar, which is such a cool place to hang out, with a very nice selection (I had the Macallan 18.) 6) Erika did a GREAT job of arranging the conference room for my group. It was absolutely perfect, and the food and drinks were excellent! Thank you, Erika! Now the misses: 1) unfortunately the front desk was notably cold... certainly not welcoming, which is what I'm used to. I typically stay R upscale properties, and I guess this doesn't rank up there with the usual luxury place I visit, but a genuine smile could rectify this. I encountered 4 different members of the front desk, and none were particularly friendly. 2) The first thing I noticed when I walked in the room was the enormous tear in the center of the sheer drape on one of the windows. I went back to my car to grab something, and when I returned a maintenance person was in my room (scared the crap out me,) and he was removing the torn drape. No one mentioned this when I checked in. And he didn't replace the sheer. 2) The cups/glasses were not clean. I actually bought a small bottle of dish soap and washed everything before I using. 3) All of 6 the coffee pods provided are decaf. Would I stay here again? Because of that dreamy bed and the beautiful design choices, absolutely.

Loved my stay. Great gym with fresh fruit and bottled water. Gym also has Peloton! Location in College Station is perfect. This hotel is close to Lake Walk Apts and First Down Park. Loved the room. Clean. My only suggestion is that the Wi-Fi was slow and seemed to cut out often. Staff was super friendly!

Rooms are pretty standard and room service is in a bag but the property is beautiful and the view from my room is amazing. If I was staying for a couple of days, I would definitely walk along that lake! It's about a 9 min drive to Kyle Field so pretty close to everything. I would stay here again for sure. This is part of the Marriott chain of autograph properties.

But here's the thing--when something goes wrong at a hotel and they make you a promise to fix it, they should actually fix it. That hasn't been our experience here. In 2023 we had some legitimate issues, such as there was a minibar charge made on our account when we didn't use the minibar, restaurant service that was frustratingly slow, a broken light in our balcony. When I wrote about it, management responded by offering us a free night--in writing, no conditions mentioned. We said 'thanks, we'll take you up on it when we're back in town.' Fast forward to now. Every time we we've tried to use it, something new comes up. The examples below are ones I can document (there were other verbal conversations I can't full reconstruct): * First it was football weekends (which, fair enough--but that was never mentioned when they made the offer) * Then a separate "special event" exclusion got invented when a non-football event came to town for a date we were interested in * Then I picked a date off their own list of available dates offered by one of their managers, and I was told now all the sudden there's actually a two-night minimum--after the had urged me to pick something quickly and I responded the same evening (within 90 minutes) * Then a dinner gift card that was offered in writing got pulled back a week later * Then they asked for a certificate number--there was never any certificate issued; the original offer was just 'let me know and I'll book you in' One of their managers actually admitted in writing that the restrictions were never explained upfront. And still--no confirmed booking as of April 2026. I've got the whole email chain if anyone doubts any of this. I'll update the review if they actually come through. Haven't been able to hold my breath that long yet.

Shortly after checking into our first room, we began hearing repeated loud thuds from the room above us. It sounded as though someone was repeatedly dropping a heavy object or riding a skateboard across the floor. The noise continued until around 11:00 p.m. and started again around 6:00 a.m., making it difficult to relax and get a good night's sleep. I called the front desk to ask if our room was located beneath the gym and requested a room change. The staff accommodated our request and moved us to another floor. Unfortunately, as soon as we opened the door to the second room, we were met with a strong musty, moldy odor. Upon closer inspection, we noticed what appeared to be mold growth around the air vent located directly above the bed. When I called the front desk, the clerk immediately asked if the room smelled "humid," which surprised me because it suggested they were already aware of the issue. Since we were staying for four nights, I asked if another room was available. Thankfully, the staff was eventually able to relocate us again. One additional inconvenience was the lack of places to hang wet towels or swimsuits to dry. As a result, nothing dried properly, and we had to request fresh towels each day. While I appreciate that the staff ultimately worked to address our concerns by moving us to different rooms, the overall experience was disappointing, especially considering the hotel's excellent reputation and the many positive recommendations we had received. I expected a much more comfortable stay, and unfortunately, this visit did not meet those expectations. Avoid room 236 below gym 360 mold and humid

Except it's not a curtain. It's a PAINTED curtain. A fake curtain. A fraud curtain. A liar in curtain clothing. And brother... when I tell you this thing looked like someone just discovered paint five minutes ago and immediately lost custody of the brush... This wasn't art. This was a crime scene with color. I just started art school today. DAY ONE. I made some abstract nonsense, yeah? Even mine had structure. This thing? This thing looked like someone sneezed into a paint bucket and said "yep, hang it." It's just strokes. Just... strokes. One swipe. Another swipe. A weird blob like it's trying to escape the wall and apologize. Who approved this?? Who looked at that and said, "yeah... that's curtain enough." It's not even trying to be a curtain. It's like it heard about curtains once in a dream and woke up confused. I'm staring at it. Not today. Not on my watch. We're sitting there in bed like: "Are we overreacting?" "No." "Should we leave?" "...yeah." And we did. We actually got up. Packed up. Walked out. No refund. No closure. I booked a 2 queen 2 room suite and I really enjoyed the layout. It didn't feel so congested and this can be a perfect room for a family of 3-4 to offer some privacy as the couch is also a pull out bed. The hotel wasn't as modern but it was still a nice hotel. Later in the evening I opened my bed stand drawer and noticed dirty napkins inside which made me think that housekeeping missed that which is pretty gross but I just left it alone as so understand mistakes do happen and thankfully I don't use the drawers in hotels anyway. What I was most excited about booking here was the complimentary breakfast!!! You cannot beat an omelet bar and it was tasty!! There's many options to choose from and I love that they let me get an extra omelet for my sister who was in the room sleeping and didn't even question it.
