Drop-off & Loaner Car Experience I dropped my car off around 2pm on a Thursday. The first red flag? Signing paperwork for the loaner car took forever because they couldn't find a pen. Then I was told to wait 30 minutes for the loaner... that turned into 1 hour and 30 minutes, in a hot waiting room with barely any A/C. The one redeeming moment: an employee kindly brought cold water for my dog and me. The loaner (Tesla Model 3 SR+) wasn't in good shape -- broken TPMS sensor and a rebooting display, likely from a software mod. Not exactly reassuring. Timeline & Communication I was told my car would be ready Saturday/Sunday. By late Saturday, I had to call for an update (they seemed confused), only to learn it wouldn't be ready until Monday. Fine -- but why wasn't I told earlier, especially since they're closed Sundays? On Monday, I was told 4pm (which became 5pm), and when I arrived, they were still applying PPF to the frunk. Final Result For a shop selling "quality," the attention to detail just wasn't there. Edges weren't clean, timelines weren't respected, and communication was lacking. On top of that, the price of the bundle didn't feel justified at all -- the value just wasn't there given the level of workmanship and hassle involved. I won't be returning, and I'd recommend looking elsewhere for anyone considering PPF or tinting.

It was a great offer, so I decided to give them a try. From the very beginning, Leo made the process quick and easy. I dropped my vehicle off at 9:00 AM to the Hayward location and received a text just a few hours later letting me know it was ready for pickup. I went in with an open mind and honestly wasn't expecting too much because I didn't want to set my expectations too high and be disappointed. When Leo brought my vehicle out, he explained that I shouldn't roll the windows down for 3-5 days and that I should allow the tint about three weeks to fully cure. When I first got into my vehicle, the front windshield was very hazy and difficult to see through. Since I understood that the tint was still curing--and this wasn't my first time having windows tinted--I figured it was part of the process and that it would eventually clear up. After giving it a few days and allowing my vehicle to sit in the sun to help expedite the curing process, the windshield did eventually clear up. However, I noticed that there were wrinkles along the corners, and all of the windows--including the back windows--had noticeable pockets of air bubbles throughout the film. I explained my frustration to my husband, and he reached out to customer service on our behalf. Our concerns were then forwarded to management, and that's when Raniyah stepped in. I have to give Raniyah a HUGE amount of credit. She was incredibly pleasant, understanding, and genuinely determined to make things right. She explained that the tint was covered by a lifetime warranty and assured me that the windows would be corrected. She also made sure that my vehicle would be taken care of by a master tint technician. A couple of days ago, I returned to have the tint redone and was once again greeted by Leo. I showed him the issues, and he was surprised to see how many air bubble pockets were throughout the windows. He reassured me that the master tinter would take care of everything. I emphasized that I wanted them to take their time and do it right, and I came back to pick up my vehicle once the work was completed. And let me tell you... WOW! My tints look absolutely immaculate and beautifully done! The difference is incredible, and I couldn't be happier with how they turned out. A BIG thank you to the entire Jet Black Tints team for listening to my concerns, standing behind your work, and making the situation right. Everyone I interacted with was professional, pleasant, and helpful throughout the process. A special thank you to Raniyah and Leo for making what could have been a frustrating experience feel completely hassle-free and efficient. A couple days later and my beater/go kart i3 has a beautiful roof again that should last years to come while getting beat down by UV outside. Folks with BMWs that have carbon fiber roofs (i3, m3, m4) may see this happen in 7-8 years if the car sees a lot of sun. It's a common problem where the epoxy coating layer starts to delaminate from the CF. It's further expedited with moisture (rain and sun cycles). Getting the roof prepped then PPF'ed with the right material restores the aesthetic of the car and protects it from recurring. I'm happy with the work and will keep AV in mind for any future wrap needs I may have.

Haven't been a fan of the glossy finish on my car's dash and center console and wanted to change it as soon as I could. The shops in my area were charging an arm and a leg so I went on Yelp to find someone that could do it for a reasonable price. So happy to have been introduced to R wraps and they suggested a matte carbon fiber wrap. It was a perfect choice, totally "stealthing out" the interior. The convenience was a huge plus too.
