This is a fairly new place that opened in the last year. The ambience is really nice it's very rustic country with Lotta wood and a wonderful stage for dancing! The food though....wonderful presentation but out of the four entrees we ordered all of us agreed that only the appetizer of fried pickles were amazing. The Hot Chicken Pie was so disagreeable tasting and the Chicken Mac-n-cheese was gross. The fish and chips were so mushy inside. We had an Amazing server and I felt bad for her. We went on the second weekend that it opened so the bands were really good and played some great music that got the crowd pumped up. It was over the top crowded as it was hard to find a place to stand and after an hour and a half, we finally got a table and sat down to eat and had crowds of people bumping into us trying to jam to the music while we were eating. :( The food was just so-so and I would say that it was definitely not worth the money that they were charging for it. Two in our group got salads that were less then appealing and my chicken sandwich was just OK. My husband and I have been here multiple times and have had the best experience each time. Word of warning though, if you're in a hurry don't expect to get a table at 6:00pm on a Friday and leave in an hour. Your will have at least an hour or more wait for a table on weekends, but In my option the wait is probably the best part of the night. You can grab a drink and hangout at the rail while you watch people dancing to the live band. The food is very good too. All our servers have been great. The Stillery charges a 3.50 processing fee that is not from the bank. The maniger stated that it is because owners want i customers to pay cash so they they add this on there. Also if you dispute it the manager shows up with there security to try and intimidate you into accepting it. read more

I have never been to this place, great sports bar atmosphere with live music at night. I had their moonshine drink (2) very tasty. I also ate the Mac and cheese with spicy chicken. I had a pretzel burger, did not realize it came with 2 Pattie's of meat, no biggie I just took one off. The entertainment was incredible last night An entertainer by the name of David Kane was performing solo and was just outstanding with an amazing mix of songs. We caught some of Marble Heart as well. This place is exactly what this area needed! Great vibe, nice live music. Even though they haven't been open long, you can tell management is doing things right in their training of the staff! Service was on point and the food was delicious. The steak sandwich was tender and flavorful. The Brussels sprout pizza was so good - the crust is so light and addictive! I highly recommend the Hunch Punch moonshine cocktail! It's a definite must. The only downside to this place is it's so awesome that there is a wait to get in sometimes. We've been twice. 1st time we had amazing service, fast delivery of food and our server kept the drinks full without asking us. 2nd time service was mediocre. Frankly one star is too much for this establishment. I took my mother out tonight, someone I'm not able to take out often as I bartend at another bar and work most nights. We began our time here speaking with the blonde hostess at the front, I gave her my name and number and let her know my mother and I needed a table of two when we were greeted by a friend who said he had a table outside on the patio that we could join him at. The hostess overheard this conversation and I let her know we would just simply join him, and come back up if we decided to just dine the two of us. We then sat outside with him for 15-20 minutes before being rudely approached by a server who said we weren't sat there. Confused we sat there and I was discussing with my mom if she would rather try to sit at the bar before a what looked like a 13 year old 5 foot tall brunette hostess rudely threw down menus in front of my mom and said "next time go to the host stand". I cannot explain to you how surprised by her behavior I was, mostly because she had no idea that my mother and I had no idea what was going on, if he was correctly sat or not and she made sure to say it directly to us. I've worked in the service industry for over 10 years and have never been spoken to in that manner. I was more so disappointed because we had no idea what the situation was with the table we were invited to and I was even more so confused because her coworker watched us walk with our friend to the table he said he was sat at in the first place. I'm not sure why staff as young as her find it appropriate to speak to guests this way, but its something I'd quickly correct if you'd like to avoid more of these reviews. I then later went up to the bar to get a round of drinks for friends that had joined us and have never dealt with such a pompous, entitled bartender before in my life. I bar managed for many years in Scottsdale at higher end restaurants and would absolutely never let my staff speak to guests the way I was spoken to. Not only did I order drinks that the bartender rudely repeated back to me laughing as if I had mispronounced what I ordered when he said the exact same thing back to me in a condescending tone he then proceeded to act like it was a chore to be serving myself and my friend. Another friend then approached the bar moments later to grab a beer we had forgotten and the same man aggressively demanded his ID and said "who is this?" When he looked at it. I understand questioning some people's age and wanting to double check, but there are much more appropriate questions you can ask and in a much more appropriate manner. The interior is perfect for a Nashville bar and eatery - barnwood deco throughout, low lighting, high-top tables, large bar, band stage and dance floor - what's not to love??? Then there is the staff!!! Wonderful friendly wait-staff, knowledgeable bartenders serving up fantastic drinks!!! If you like Mules, ya gotta try the Smokin' Mule - WOW!!! My go-to drink now!!! And hubby loves their Whiskey Float!!! Now let's move to their amazing list of appetizers!!! The sriracha devil eggs are simply the BEST. Nice display of 6 with shredded Parmesan cheese and chives! Can't start a meal now without these!!! We have also ordered the pretzels, the queso, and Rangoons, all are great!! Now the menu - you have much to choose from and some say the prices are a tad high, but when you see the quantity served, and taste the freshness of the ingredients (everything is made in-house), you are more that getting your money worth!!! The Wedge salad is huge, with lots of Gorgonzola, which I love, tomatoes et Al. It's a delicious salad and can be a meal in itself!! The Caesar Salad is huge also and has a twist of lemon which is very refreshing!! The Mac & Cheese is served sizzling hot, has a great sauce that's not thick like alot of Mac & Cheese is, so this was a good surprise. The Spicy Sausage Pizza is just that - spicy!!! They make everything in-house, the spicy sausage, the pizza dough, the sauce so it's fresh and wonderful tasting. The dough was a surprise - I'm a Detroit gal, so I judge every pizza using Buddy's or Cloverleaf as the ultimate, but this thin pizza did not disappoint- that crust was amazing!!! Just the right amount of chew, and fat edges for "dessert"!!! The Hot Chicken Sandwich was amazing!!! Since they make all their sauces in-house everyday the "heat" can vary - I got the one that's not the hottest, but to me it was!!! Excellent flavor!!! The All American Burger was a total surprise!!! First - it's huge!!! Two Pattie's are standard!!! The bun was soft, the pickle perfect!!! Then the Bacon Mushroom Burger - ohhhh my!!! My absolute FAVE burger!!! Wow!!! Now let's finish with dessert. The only item we've tried is the Pecan Pie with vanilla ice cream. This was the absolute BEST pecan pie I've ever had!!! It's all pecans!! Hardly any goopy filling, just roasted pecans that taste like pralines!!! The crust is actual flaky pie crust, not that mealy stuff others pass off as crust - this is like MOM used to make!!! It is soooo perfect, we haven't ordered any of the other dessert - we just can't miss out on the perfect ending to a FUNtastic meal/evening!!! If you're in the area, and hungry, do yourself a favor and stop in... but do it at off-hours, this place fills up quickly at dinner/evening with happy people looking for good food, great atmosphere, fun dancing, bands every night!!! Prices a little high for that type of food. Real surprise was when we got the bill, they have a cash price and credit card price which is approximately 3% higher. Not many people now days pay cash, so plan on adding 3% to your bill. This isn't disclosed prior to ordering. Most restaurants already have this included in their pricing, but this one doesn't. This is the charge the bank charges them for taking credit cards. I don't know if this is even legal to do it this way. We won't be back, food so so, and misleading charges. read more

I got here at 8:15 an hour and 45 before they close. I get seated by the host. 10 minutes go by and I see that the server is busy with a big party so I go to the bar to get myself a drink, not even 2 steps away from the bar. I get my drink and turn around and my table had been bussed. I go to the host stand to get more menus and silverware and she states that they are just trying to keep things clean so that they can get out of here on time tonight. I totally understand that, no big deal. But a little overkill if you ask me. Well it's 8:50 and I've still had no server greet me. Where is the floor manager? Couple things! -Bar area seems the best for service -Must arrive before bands play to get a decent seat -They now take select reservations but you have to plan ahead if you want to be accommodated -The last 3 visits the AC unless by the band or in the bathroom was AWFUL! Hope this gets fixed. -Hamburgers & Pizza are decent for the price just not the pretzel bun. Salads are also delicious. -Beers on draft very limited to local beers. Only cans of the most popular beers like Bud Light and Ultra wish these were on draft. Overall a great place to enjoy but it does always get very crowed so plan ahead! read more

I've lived in Phoenix for 25 years and I've never had such a bad Experience at a bar. I've been to bars in old town Scottsdale, downtown, and all over Phoenix. Safe to say this was the most disappointing experience ever had. My friend since sixth grade was accused of having a fake ID she is 24, and has lived in Phoenix since 2010. First of all she was granted access by the bouncer who scanned her ID with an app on their phone. As soon as we ordered a drink, the bartender used a black light to scan our IDs which was wierd because our they were already scanned by a phone to get in. I've never had a bar check my ID after I was granted access. Shortly after the black light, they took my friend's ID to the back. Security confronted us all and claimed her ID was fake. We asked why her perfectly normal ID that worked at every other bar and worked at the entrance of the Stillery was not valid and they claimed it "didn't pass their tests". They made us get the AZ ID app to prove her ID, which the Internet didn't work in there so there was no hope for that. We showed them a picture of her passport and her instagram and even asked if we should call Phoenix PD which they said wouldn't matter. Even her younger brother who just turned 21 was able to come in and drink but it didn't matter. The lead security guard said since the Internet wasn't working she could stay in the bar just not drink, 5 minutes later another security person asked her to leave at 11:00 PM. She stated that the lead security guard told her it was okay to stay and he said no she has to leave. We all were so confused that this has never happened and now all of the sudden a random bar at norterra is kicking us out. Our friend requested to speak to the GM and because of this, they said "you all need to leave now". So a group of 12 of us got kicked out. This was the most ridiculous experience I've never had at a bar in Arizona, what a class act. Truly Pathetic to kick us all out with baseless claims without letting us speak to the manager. read more
