Been a while since I had Stilly Diner breakfast and I must say, it was top notch. Got the biscuits and gravy, with ham, and eggs sunny side up. The whole meal was delicious! Not overly salted or lacked any. It was just right. I've had biscuits and gravy from the Blue bird recently and it's just hard to finish it because of how salty it was. But at the Stilly, it was just right. I finished the meal in one sitting that I didn't even get to try my chocolate chip pancake or cinnamon roll. I would definitely recommend this joint over any other local ones. Explains the big lines outside because this place is good. Even for take out which is what I had. Solid work Stilly! read more

Hana is a gem, cutie, profesional, and the one you want @ your side when dining in. She gave me a few good options & ideas as I wasn't ready to order just yet. After a little coffee we'd agreed on a half order benedict omelet, she's pretty fun & entertaining. My breakfast was perfect in every way, adding Hana's favorite Sriracha sauce to my potatoes was the icing on the cake, potatoes. This girl Hana kicks butt for the Stilly, I'm sure they know, but just to send it home I've had the best service from her many times....... I've never had bad service here, nor have I had any issue with anything ever ordered. Good on you guys for doing it right, much respect! This place is fantastic! We drive all the way from Seattle for this place and we've come twice in the past two weeks. The portions are large enough to satisfy even the biggest appetite, but the important thing is that the food is absolutely delicious and the service is second to none. Ordered takeout. The line waiting for a table sit was long but takeout was quick! 5 orders of cheeseburgers, some with fries, one with Cole slaw and one with a salad. The burgers were tasty! The fries are the best fries I have had in a long time! So much so, I told my husband we should just order fries sometimes when we are out and about in Arlington! I envision a picnic with just those fries The slaw and salad were fresh and tasty! The employees are busy but very happy and professional. After a horrible recent experience I reached out on a local social media group for eatery suggestions. The Stilly Diner was recommended by several. An American style diner, The Stilly offers great variety, making it possibly challenging to decide. I felt like a hearty meal and opted for a build your own omelette, in scramble format: fresh eggs with ham, onion, tomato and cheddar. I selected the country potatoes for my side and ordered an additional side: fruit. The meal included toast. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak meal, with country potatoes. The waitress had us define how we wanted our potatoes (peppers, onions or not). The red potatoes were nicely cooked with good seasoning. It is evident they will cook to order and the pricing is competitive. We received great service from start to finish, attentive and friendly. You seat yourself, and I was forewarned that it can get very busy, with a line out the door. We arrived early (7ish), on a Saturday, and had no problem finding a booth. Parking was plentiful, there is a lot across the street. Every item on the table was clean, same regarding booth and table. Overall very clean and nice diner like decor. Noise level is average, open booths and such. Considering the excellent food quality, incredible quantity, great (friendly, attentive) service, exceptionally clean facility, will cook to order and fair pricing..... we will definitely return. An old time Diner feel! with great food! I wanted to share a neat place with you today. My husband and I went to the Stilly Diner in Arlington, WA, today for breakfast. It was amazing. It was a small quaint little place. It reminded me of the old time diners my dad used to take me too, when I was little. It had that old time feel. It had old time movie posters on the wall. Oh and did I mention there coffee was great! Not bitter like most places. Any day you go there is a wait as they have 4.8 stars. But well worth it. Just make sure you keep your eye open for a booth cause it is a seat yourself diner. We didn't have to wait too long though, only about 15 minutes. The breakfast is huge and the service is great, the price was perfect! and only $1.50 for a cup of coffee, compared to most places, where they charge you $3.49 for a cup of coffee. Wanted to try something new for breakfast. Heard good things about this place and it did not let us down. Hubby had corn beef hash in which he clears his plate. This is not usual for him especially at other breakfast places the food is usually too greasy. That was not the case here. I had Belgian waffle with blueberries and strawberries on top. Pretty typical waffle but the blueberries were whole and tasted fresh. I got a side of bacon, small hash browns, and gravy. The portion of hash browns was not small by any means. The gravy was nice and creamy but could use a little more spice. It worked out well for me now since I'm pregnant and spice gives me heart burn. The staff was very friendly. We sat at the bar it did not take long for our food to arrive. Other customers were friendly as well. Atmosphere was nice. We will be going back here for breakfast to try other things on the menu! read more

Pretty good! I ordered the loaded hashbrowns, minus green onion, plus 1/2 side of bacon. The order also included 2 eggs and toast. He ordered meat-lovers omelet with country potatoes, and the pancake. My first impression when he arrived with the takeout was "impressed." It was a LOT of food. Plus a whole bag of "sides/condiments," and I was prepared to be delighted. That feeling was cut off abruptly when I realized they did not include salt, pepper, or syrup amongst the takeout condiments. Only a ton of ketchup, 2 things of jam, some silverware, and I think napkins. He liked his omelet and potatoes, and ate them all, but didn't have much else to say about them. He LOVED his pancake, and was disappointed it was only one, and that it didn't come with butter or syrup or anything else. But he said it was really good. My stuffed hashbrowns were good, but I was already disappointed there was no salt or pepper to add. Because I'd withheld the green onion, there really wasn't much else to the flavor. It was made differently than I'm accustomed to. Instead of mixing in the ingredients, it's almost like they took 2 orders of hashbrowns, and put a layer of bacon, cheese, and TONS of sour cream in between. It was good, but I tasted sour cream more than anything else. The eggs (over-medium) were cooked perfectly. I ordered sourdough toast with butter, and it arrived exactly as ordered (which, I've found, is super rare anywhere I go, and especially when it's sourdough), but I was full before I ever took a bite of the bread, so I can't actually vouch for the flavor, etc... Overall, though, I would say based on the prices and sizes, this place is a win. I would be pretty excited to try what else they have to offer. Come prepared to eat, or to have leftovers for at least another meal or two...! read more

This is our favorite breakfast and brunch place in the greater Stanwood area. We have checked out a lot of other restaurants, but we keep coming back to this one. Be aware - it is typically very busy and you have to wait. We are surprised when we go on weekdays, and it is still very busy! Also note, they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Some of our favorites include: the brunch burger, the cornbread pancakes and the turkey pesto melt. I am a vegetarian and they are very accommodating. When I get the turkey pesto melt, they sub sautéed spinach for the turkey and it is delicious! They also have very good fries and sweet potato fries! read more

The Stilly has very friendly wait staff and a good call list so they can call your phone when your table is ready. The food is all American good, with large portions and ability to substitute without costing much. Noise is kept down with ceiling baffles. read more

The Stilly Diner is exactly what you wish every American diner gave you: good meal, great service, fun Americana atmosphere, and wallet friendly. I have a soft spot for drip coffee and home made food. They cook their biscuits from scratch and the chunks of sausage in their gravy is so big you won't need to order a side of sausage. We came at just the right time on a Saturday, around 9am, but by the time we were leaving a line was forming full of excited people. Definitely worth the wait if you have to! read more
