Diner on the main street in Arlington WA. This place seems to be a local favorite, as it was busy on an early Saturday morning for breakfast. The diner has basically two rooms, and not a whole lot of space. They got some cool retro movie posters on the walls as decor. Menu consists of the usual American diner staples: toasts, pancakes, bacon, omelettes, and such. I got a ham and cheese omelette which also came with a small bowl of fruit and a pancake. Doing some research for a project, and I needed some breaky for brain glue. I continued my vertical tasting of chicken fried steak across Washington State. With COVID-19 still ravaging the country side, masks were required to enter. The masked service was great, and on-point. The CFS was tasty! They used real sausage in the sausage gravy. Killer diner! Went in early on a Saturday morning, plentiful parking across the street, very reasonable wait for a table on a Saturday, & coffee served right away. Already an easy A. We were a party of four. All of us (Boomer, X, Millennial, and Alpha) loved our food, no complaints from any of us. We ordered a California hash brown plate, Corned Beef Hash, Louisiana hot links, & Mickey Mouse Pancake, all of it came out fast, hot, and really good! Coffees all around, plenty of refills, now an A+. Great time, worth the hour and a half drive for great food and great service! What a cute place! We stopped by here before heading in to do some work, and it was a perfect breakfast spot. Their decor is adorable and the food was tasty! The coffee was so so, but the food and service more than made up for it. The potatoes were soooo good!!! The spinach, onion, and feta omelet was a little watery but overall quite good. Love that you can get either toast OR a pancake with! Hubs was super pleased with his biscuits and gravy. Our waitress was super friendly and quick even though it was pretty busy while we were there. Little dinner on and old fashioned street in Arlington. Staff was friendly and fast. This place is little so expect to wait. Lucked out and only waited 10 minutes as seats feed up at the bar. Seves breakfast all day. Good selection of your standard items. Appear to be known for cinnamon rolls but did not try one. Had meat and cheese omelette with pep6jack cheese. Perfectly cooked and filled to the brim with bacon, ham and sausage. Eggs were fluffy. I skipped the hashbrowns and pancake that it came with. I was glad as it was huge. They have large variety of sides like fruit, applesauce, bread or cottage cheese. Had chia tea with vanilla creamer. About 8 different options if tea. Also had bacon, spinach and cheese special with fries. Normal size grilled sandwich but large portion of fries. This is great find if you are on your way north. Not far off freeway. read more

Matt's Loaded Hash Brown Plate was quite yummy! They split for my girlfriend and I, I had the grilled mushrooms on the side. They were amazing! We also shared the giant cinnamon roll which was soo tasty! The cream cheese frosting in particular was amazing. We took half home. The server was friendly and the atmosphere was nice. Came here on a Friday morning and it was a little busy. We did get a seat quickly and the service was great! Our waitress was extremely friendly and cheerful. I ordered the country fried steak and found the hash browns to be rather soggy. I do prefer them a bit crispier. The steak itself was okay with some stringy parts inside. Flavor-wise a little more seasoning would be nice. The gravy was thick and chunky but I did like that. I liked that I had the choice of getting a pancake and it wasn't anything to write home about but very doable. Would definitely come back after a hiking or camping trip. read more

Enjoyed a great breakfast this morning with fresh hot coffee. The #19 was perfect. The French toast was tasty the bacon was cooked just right and the sunny side up eggs were perfect. Best breakfast in town! Hands down! Weekends are pretty busy but worth the wait! Service is pretty quick! Their cinnamon rolls are ENORMOUS! I suggest sharing with your family! It's like a 4-6 pack of cinnamon rolls all in one big roll! I love the country potatoes and most of the dishes are a good sized portion. Another good thing about this place is that it seems like they use fresh eggs without added fillers to make their eggs look fluffy. The service was fast and friendly, they use the twistable crayons my ham-fisted kids can't break. The pancakes were the size of dinner plates. For once, I had a $20 breakfast that felt like it was worth the price rather than the consequence of inflation. I can't say enough great things about Ellie's. I didn't love that the door to the bathroom was so close to another table and was glad no one was sitting there as I think it would have seemed intrusive but otherwise, not a big deal. Cute decor and cute items for sale as well. Candles smelled fantastic. Would def. visit again next time I'm in the area.

On a recent trip to downtown Arlington for my daughter's SAT exam, I discovered Stilly Diner, and I'm so glad I did! From the moment I walked in, the service was outstanding. The staff was friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. I chose a traditional breakfast, and it was delicious. The sausage and bacon were perfectly cooked--not too salty--allowing the flavors to really shine. The hashbrowns tasted homemade, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just like a comforting meal from your kitchen. One of the best parts of my visit was meeting some wonderful people. While I waited for my food, I chatted with a lady outside who loved the diner's gluten-free options, and she mentioned her husband found the corned beef surprisely delicious. I also spoke with a guy next to me who works remotely as a frontend programmer and comes to the diner often--his stories added to the welcoming atmosphere. To top it all off, someone at a table behind me unexpectedly paid for my meal before leaving. Maybe they got charmed about me working hard on my laptop while easting in the corner on a Saturday morning! I made sure to tip generously to spread the good vibes to the wonderful servers. My husband and I went here for the first time today. The joint was full with another couple waiting before us. Food was excellent and the service was superb. I ordered the chicken fried steak and my husband got eggs Benedict. We got a giant cinnamon roll to go. It was only $5.99. I thought that was a good price for a yummy giant frosted cinnamon roll. I'd like to mention the cook (whom I didn't see). When the waitress showed up with our food, she told me the cook wanted to know if I wanted more hashbrowns. I ordered my hash browns crispy (which the cook did perfectly), but the cook was worried that my portion was too small. That portion was big. In fact, I took left overs home. Really, so first my son's mom found this spot and she kept saying it was the best and I was like what do you know. Well...she did know. Within a 75 mile span, there is only like 3-4 good breakfast spots and this is one of them. All the foods are great. As far as the owner, she called the cops on me because she thinks a sign out on the street is legal saying for drive up only in a public parking area. Had to put her in her spot. And I was on the phone, pulled over because it was a family emergency and I told her that and was there to pick up food and she still proceeded. So even though the food is great, be careful of her owner and parking, she thinks she can get the law on you and a arbitrary sign is legal. If so my tax free sign on my property should bare the same weight. read more

They sat us practically in the kitchen all the way in the back with a static-y sounding radio blasting in the background. Husband and I had to talk over the radio to hear each other. The server was great, food was good, but not spectacular. Had to wait 30 minutes to be seated in our cold car. One morning papa wanted to go to breakfast. He was already going Arlington Hardware so it this place was next door. Oh my gosh the breakfast was amaaaaazzzing!
