Seabrook has some great restaurant's and Stowaway is one of them. We were not sure what to expect, but it was excellent. I liked that they have tables outside so we could be with our dog. To start, they have an outstanding wine list. We had a bottle of the Foundation Cellars red blend and loved it. Then the service was very good and friendly. Then we ordered the cheese and meat plate. This came with three of both. They made great choices with all the meat and cheese--just really tasty. There was also plenty of food to feed two of us for dinner (with a couple of snacks for the dog). It went really well with the wine. Definitely worth a visit, even just to taste some wine. read more

Every time we come into town, we pay a visit to Seabrook's one and only wine bar. They have something for everyone here besides wine. A little secret is they have a small charcuterie and pizzeta menu. An even better secret is if you buy a bottle, you can bring it down the block to Rising Tides there's no corkage fee. This place is so fun and became our favorite spot in Seabrook! It has a lovely ocean view and is right in the heart of town. They have a large selection of wines to choose from. I really liked the Pinot noir but they also have fun selections of daily flights. The ambiance indoors is really cool and beautiful- very beach and we loved the wine wall. Totally cute! The cheese board is also amazing and fed 6 of us really well. We spent hours and hours here over our weekend trip and never wanted to leave. The service was a hit or miss. During our first visit on a Sunday the staff was amazing. They brought out ice water when we sat down, checked on us, were really friendly, and had our checks split and ready for us without us even asking. We were extremely impressed and absolutely LOVED our servers. We came back the next day and the servers were super icy. We had several rounds of ID checks and the staff didn't seem to be happy about us being in a group of 6 since their tables are set up for 4 and we had to move chairs. One worker also mentioned that we were "acting like we owned the place" which took us aback because we felt like we were being totally polite. This made us uncomfortable and we left after one glass because we felt like they didn't want us there. We planned to spend the whole afternoon, but the whole vibe was really awkward because of the hostility with the staff so we decided to leave. They did their best to avoid us and didn't make us feel very welcome. I feel like perhaps they were having an off day, and our experience the first day was so fun that I would definitely come back and just hope to get the fun crowd. Overall, there is some great wine, a lovely offering of snacks (with some gluten free options), and a serene view. A must see in Seabrook! read more

What a great wine bar in Seabrook! They had 2 wine flights available when we went. Sparkling Wine or Rose Wine flights. We went with the Sparkling Wine. We sampled 3 different wines and they were so good. Jen was our server and she was FABULOUS! She took time to tell us about the 3 wine selections and the winery they each came from. We shared the brie plate and split a salad. When our salad came out Jen immediately took it from our food runner as she noticed an ingredient on it that we asked to be omitted and had it remade. The atmosphere is so very relaxing and comfortable. They offer a huge selection of wines that can be purchased and taken home. I can honestly say this will be a regular stop for me when visiting Seabrook. A+ service, food and atmosphere! read more

This place is pretty but we had a rough experience. Came in on a quiet weekday; one other table was populated. One person working, which should be plenty. Took about 5 minutes to get menus then she started making food for the other table which took maybe 8 minutes. So 13 mins in and no drink order taken. That and the static menu motivated us to get up and leave. For me, a great wine bar (esp one with small pours for $16-45) has constantly changing choices and someone who makes recommendations and 'makes you feel like they have something special' just for you. We got a charcuterie plate (3 cheeses, 3 meats, almonds, grapes, apricots, olives, pickles, bread, breadsticks) for $27. A steal in my book. You could customize the plate with different cheeses and meats. We picked: drunken goat cheese, port salut, and cambozola for cheeses; pate de campagne, salami, and serrano for meats. Went to stowaway on Labor Day weekend. We looked over the menu and my wife was genuinely excited about the wine spritz they offer. We give a drink order and I order food. My wife who was also hungry couldn't decide so the server (Isabella I think?) left a menu while she put in my order. What I received wasn't exactly what I ordered, and I tried to be nice about it. This I guess was my first mistake. The server must have decided I was being rude and left us unattended for 35+ minutes, during which I ate what she decided to bring me, including tomato soup which I absolutely hate. With our drinks remaining dry and my wife remaining hungry, and everyone else at the restaurant getting 5 star service we were getting desperate to leave. We ended up begging someone else to stop and bring us a check. She asks how the food was and I share my distaste for what I was brought. She wants me to stay and take what I actually wanted on the house but at that point I felt completely unwelcome at this place. She took 4 whole dollars off the bill which I guess was generous by seabrook standards. I really wasn't mad that I was brought something I didn't like. I guess through simple communication the server we started with decided we were a problem customer which to me was very unfortunate. If I were hoping to come to a place like seabrook in the future and spend my money, an experience like this would make me think twice. read more

This is a really cool place to hang out while you are visiting Seabrook. I like the vibe, the staff and the events that they host. I mean, where else can you dance to salsa music on a Friday night around here? While drinking wine and enjoying good food! They even have salsa dance lessons, if you are so inclined. (Maybe after a few glasses of wine?) I can tell that they are really trying to make a difference, and attract new business including first-time visitors to Seabrook. It's in a good location on Market Street so I would give them a try--it's also very popular so be sure to time your visit accordingly. The Friday night event was on until 10 p.m., which is awesome because everything else shuts down early in this town. Can't wait to go back to this wine bar! read more

The only good thing is that every time I pass by this place it smells pretty good. The other day though, I decided that after my 21st birthday I wouldn't be going in there. All of us should know by now that COVID-19, a pandemic that shut the whole country down, is reason enough to wear masks which in this state are required when in businesses, and I hate when people think that they're a special exception for some reason, whatever the reason may be. There was a guy who knew the owner and (at that time/on that day) the worker who came in with his family. He brought his wife, brother, oldest son, and college freshman age son in and none of them were wearing masks. My dad, who has breathing issues, is in the at-risk age range, and has battled many illnesses and injuries in his life with terrible genes when it comes to anything medical, was actually inside at that very moment and when he saw them he told me he panicked and hadn't paid yet so he couldn't just rush off and get away. The worker didn't enforce the mask requirement law or even point out the multiple signs hanging up outside, on the door, and inside the store. They let these people slide for whatever reason, potentially putting so many other people at risk. That was so selfish and uncalled for. It's not difficult to wear a mask. I'm an essential grocery store worker who works full-time. A typical shift is 6-9 hours for me, occasionally overtime and for that whole time besides a 30 minute lunch and 2 short breaks, I am required to wear a mask. Yeah, it sucks but I do it for myself, my boyfriend, friends, and family! Also, my dad was too nice to say anything but if I were there I would NOT have let that slide! That is straight up unacceptable and I don't know how to get it through to someone like that that they aren't the only humans on this planet, and they put others at risk. read more

What a wonderful place. We were staying in Ocean Shores.. Months ago we planned on clamming only to run into what was advertised as the worst storm in fifty years.
