With the Pittsburgh airport terminal changing so much, it was refreshing to see that The Strip Market remained - always an option for a Sabre hummus cup or a premade sandwich. This trip - I decided to try their hot prepared foods... and it was definitely a let down. Huge benefit for here - the employees were very personable and the line was very short! The sandwich was just pulled from the freezer and put into a toaster oven. It definitely was hot, but it lacked in flavor. The store is full of options and in a great location. They just need to think about putting more creativity and freshness in their hot food options - especially with all of the new options available too. read more

The lady who took my order was very friendly and the espresso I ordered was really good value for an airport. A shot only cost $2.50 whereas a nearby café (Cafe Conmigo) was $4 and it wasn't even as good. I'm guessing the reviews are so low because the food isn't great, but I did not get any food. read more

Cool little spot in the middle of the concourses. Stopped by recently to grab some snacks and a couple drinks before my flight. It's truly sad that this is literally the only place open at the Pittsburgh Airport after 10 pm and it closes at 12am. Smdh! They have just about everything you could want or need, but at a hefty price tag. Imagine that! Supply and demand. I'll still support them though because it is what it is while traveling yet I wouldn't mind if they lowered some of the prices. First of all I have to state that I'm a flight attendant and I go through Pittsburgh frequently and this has always been a go-to spot for me. Unfortunately, this time was one of the worst service experiences I've had in a long time. From the moment we arrived, the lady working was extremely rude and completely disengaged. She was on her phone the entire time and refused to acknowledge us or even make eye contact. There was no greeting, no introduction, and no sense of welcome whatsoever. When it finally came time to take our order, it was clear we were inconveniencing her. When I politely said we weren't quite ready to order, she rolled her eyes, walked away without a word, and went right back to scrolling on her phone. The lack of basic courtesy and professionalism was shocking. Good service doesn't require much--just acknowledgment and respect--but neither was present here. I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who expects even minimal customer service. I refused to order any food and decided to not give my money to a business that cannot show a spec of respect. read more

Their coffee is good although overpriced. Their breakfast sandwiches are generally ok but I got the breakfast bagel today which was just sad. It was an abomination that doesn't deserve to be called a "bagel." In fact I'm pretty sure it was a hamburger bun with a hole cut in it to make it look like a bagel. It was soft and squishy like a poor quality hamburger bun. And the eggs were fake frozen eggs that were reheated. This place used to be better so I was disappointed. I grabbed a regular brewed coffee and a cinnamon scone at the location right at the end/start of concourse A at PIT. I give the scone a thumbs up and the coffee was, well, mediocre. It was hot but tasted very bitter, even with cream. Wasn't horrible but not for the price. read more

The Strip Market is one of my usual spots to grab and go when I'm traveling. They feature various items from the Strip District including Steel City salt. During my recent Yelp event my husband and I stopped over here to try the Blume honey water. We sampled 3 different flavors and they were very good. You can get pretty much a basic sampling of the Strip here but their coffee comes from Nicholas Coffee company. When I'm flying I normally stop over here to grab a bagel and cream cheese to take to my departure gate. They are your average quality and prices are reasonable. I also get a large water bottle since you can't bring them past TSA .This way I can have it in flight or when I land, have it handy until I am able to get more. Located by the left side of the food court near concourse D I am able to scurry off down that concourse to get to the appropriate gate with my grab and go bag in hand. read more

So if you were visiting Pittsburgh but found yourself unable to go check out the many foodie places that the Strip Area of Pittsburgh has become famous for, then never worry, cause this shop at the airport has you covered!  There's tons of the purveyors from the Strip District represented and there's really something for everyone's tastes! I had a good look-see around the store, and decided to get the cheese cup for $3.50 plus tax. There's nothing more I love than bread and cheese, but the only options were a bagel or a croissant, which I really wasn't in the mood for, so I decided to skip getting those. I like that the pretty much all of the food in the shop was thoughtfully packaged for air travel. The cheese box I had purchased was flight friendly with 5 varieties of cheese x 20 small cubes (so something for every taste).  It's not a 5 Star review, cause I do feel service could have been friendlier. When I asked for bread options and asked the person behind the counter if I could see what the bagel looked like before purchasing, she gave a big old huff like I was being super demanding. And it wasn't like they were super busy when I made this request, cause no-one was in line behind me. I purposefully waited till they were less busy to go up and ask about bread options! I visited the Strip Market as part of a tasting event with Yelp. I was given some samples of Blume Honey Water, which was delicious. My favorite was the one with blueberry. I was confused that they had us tasting (very tasty) waters instead of taking a tour of the store & explaining all that they had to offer because everything looked fresh and delicious, and there were a ton of local finds that you'd see in the Strip District. My question is: why spotlight one company, instead of or in addition to, explaining everything you have and why it would beneficial for someone to visit their store instead of getting elbowed and stepped on while walking around in the Strip District? That's their appeal, or at least what it should be in my opinion. For this reason, I don't think I was able to experience the store or see what they had to offer, and therefore my experience was lackluster. I could've stayed behind to browse which I should have probably done. I would definitely visit again for grab and go items, or for a neat local gift for a loved one, because I think it's a neat concept. It also beats a shot glass or magnet that says Pittsburgh. A great choice for coffee at the airport. They serve Nicholas Coffee, which has a tradition of roasting coffee dating back to 1916. Technically, Nicholas is in Market Square, but they make really great coffee. They also carry Enrico's biscotti, a brand I love from the Strip District. We paid $5 for water, but it was huge and nicely packaged. read more

This shop has got it all. All of my favorite Pittsburgh brands including Steel City Salt (great company, awesome owners), Milkshake Factory (delicious chocolate), and Enrico's Biscotti (SO good). If you are visiting Pittsburgh quickly and don't have time to visit the Strip District- at least check this place out and grab some goodies to take home! It will not disappoint! I have stopped by here on a number of occasions now most recently early this past Tuesday morning. The Strip Market is located in the center core at PIT and I love the idea that it sells local Pittsburgh products almost exclusively. They have everything from sandwiches to candy and coffee as well. Every time that I stop here is seems to be in the morning and so the only item I have ever actually gotten from here is the coffee, or I guess more specifically the Nicholas Coffee. I have had both Americanos and Lattes numerous times and I can't say that they have ever been my favorite coffee. The beans always seem to be super dark and almost to the point of burnt which is reflected in the taste of the coffee. So why do I keep coming back? It's actually a combination of the fact that I love that it serves local items and that there is a lack of other local coffee roasters at the airport. I would much rather support the local companies than contribute to big corporations like Starbucks. The bottom line for me is that I am sure that I will be back again in the future. While it doesn't have the greatest coffee it does have some other good things going for it. read more

Very nice service and helpful employees. Nitro cold brew is good, but only comes in 12oz and costs $6. Got the breakfast sammich with ham which was kinda equivalent to a Best Western version of the same variety. It wasn't bad, but clearly pre-made egg flat things, good ham (I'm told to skip the bacon because it's thin), and the English muffin was Ok. Overall experience was good, but bang for buck factor could use some work. If you want a good breakfast sammich, there's a Chick-fil-A next door. read more

This is decent. It's an upgrade from the store it replaced. On the plus side, they offer the usual hot and cold coffee and espresso drinks. It looked good enough but when I opened it on my flight the pickle that was sort of wrapped up leaked all over the wrap making it soggy and impossible to eat. This is a great stop for coffee. The donuts made locally are delicious! I sometimes get lunch and there is a variety of choices. Yesterday I purchased the tomato mozzarella and pesto sandwich. I usually enjoy this sandwich but it was difficult to find the pesto making for a dry sandwich. I hope they rethink the amount that is smeared on the roll. I was passing through the airport last monday, morning decided to follow the smell of bacon to the strip market. I ordered a croissant with bacon egg and cheese with a large strawberry banana smoothie, the order came close to $15; which I expect a bit of over pricing at an airport. What I did not expect was the lady that took my order was being extremely rude! She had a snobby attitude and cussed at me under her breath when I asked her if they had lettuce or tomatoes for the breakfast sandwich before telling me no and that if I want that I should go to the store across the hall. The whole time I was ordering I felt like I was imposing. Thankfully someone came and asked her to get them change and the gentlemen that was cooking finished ringing me out he was a godsend by comparison. He was very polite and welcoming. I don't want to get petty but this "Kelly" woman which I found out her name when I asked to speak to his supervisor and he told me she ran to to back. I was mind blown this woman was the supervisor. She was so rude and from a health stand point he person hygiene was appalling the smell of her breath was awful I considered canceling my order before she started being rude. To sum it up the food was good the secondary service I got was great the prices are a bit high but all and all not bad. However I give them 1 star because I will not return to any establishment that would have a supervisor so rude and clearly not keeping with personal hygiene is a place I don't feel comfortable shopping with. read more
