Great family place with a bar scene for adults. Outdoor seating was nice, quiet with a lovely view of the property and garden. Indoor seemed like more of a party scene with louder music but there seems to be a good balance between both. The food was all very good. Strip steak cooked to a perfect medium rare. Linguine was a little on the salty side but still pretty good. Clam chowder and arugula & watermelon salad was a great starter. Service was great. One of the better meals we've had on the island.

Plastic cups, but glass for the wine.

What a fabulous view! We had such a lovely dinner at Summer House. The location is terrific. I believe diners should know a few facts: -Paper napkins are being used during Covid -Plastic cups are served for beverages -Our Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc was $72 for the bottle, but it costs myself $14 at the liquor store in town -The musician only performed "hippie" music and doesn't know any George Strait! The view makes up for all of this. We still had a lovely evening. The serve healthy portions of fish, not a sliver like most places. I had the cod which was lovely.

    Mojito!!!

THE establishment of Sconset Nantucket forever and it is a must! The restaurant serves huge portion lobster rolls and the hamburger is the best on island! Excited for the reopening of the main restaurant (had a fire oh no!) but the quality of their restaurant pool/beachside (the only one like it on island!) is always a happening scene lunch and dinner. Cocktails are fantastic. Seek out Phillipe for one of his Mojitos- best anywhere.

Horrible slow service and the food was ice cold. It's a shame because it has such a nice atmosphere.

The Club Car Restaurant, housed in a restored 19th century railroad car, serves delicious breakfast and lunch in a unique setting without breaking the bank-something that's hard to come by on the island. This spot is definitely worth a visit.

I have been trying for almost a year to contact The Club Car about an experience I had. I have called multiple times, left messages, and emailed, but I have never received a response. I made reservations at The Club Car's sister restaurant, Nantucket Tap Room. My confirmation text said my reservation was at The Club Car, so I called right away. I was told not to worry because they are sister restaurants and the confirmation "just said The Club Car." On the day of our reservation, I called the Tap Room just to confirm. That's when I was told I did not have a reservation there and that it was actually at The Club Car. Thankfully, the manager was able to get us a table at the Tap Room. When we arrived, I asked the hostess if The Club Car had been notified, and she assured me the reservation had been canceled. I had a wonderful dinner with my husband and son. We spent well over $400 and left very happy. Then I received my credit card statement and saw a $75 no-show charge from The Club Car. I immediately called and was told a manager would contact me. No one ever did. Nearly a year later, after multiple phone calls, voicemails, and emails requesting a refund, I still have not received a single response. The reservation mix-up was frustrating, but what has been even more disappointing is the complete lack of customer service afterward. I understand that mistakes happen, but charging a customer a no-show fee after your own staff assured them everything had been taken care of, then ignoring every attempt to resolve it for almost a year, is unacceptable.

You have to walk up a slight hill on Carver Street to get here, and it was no surprise that it was relatively packed with all the terrace seats taken. And yet, the ambiance was quite chill. Everyone was looking relaxed and definitely not on the make. Customers skewed a tad older here, which made us feel right at home. We were particularly impressed that the veteran bartender had a mixing container dedicated to their espresso martinis, so of course, we ordered a pair for $16 each (photo: https://yelp.to/VmjWNmEyk0). We sat near the fireplace and just let the smooth libations and mellow dudes give us the P-Town karma. However, I have been to many fine dining restaurants that have fully understood the assignment that weren't nearly as expensive. We specifically booked this reservation for the view of the sunset, not the food, so I was not expecting it to blow my mind since I had read the reviews. Because it rained, and there is a fee per person on cancellations we ate in the covered patio which was still lovely, and the service was excellent, but nothing particularly exciting about it. We were able to walk around after since we missed our shuttle and the property there is breathtaking. The staff at the hotel and restaurant were also unbelievably kind. I did order one appetizer that was really good and that was the scallop with caviar over a pea sauce.. I feel like this is a place where you pay for the experience, not necessarily the food. Although it also may depend on what you get. My husband did not like his salad or the white asparagus, and my son didn't like his pasta either. Although to be fair my son is super picky. It did taste as though it had a sauce on it that was maybe cheese and not just butter, and the blue fish pate was super salty. I think overall my expectations were too high because of the prices despite the reviews but just because something costs more, doesn't always make it better. Extra points because the staff do go up and beyond to try to make it a special experience, so they do understand that part of the assignment at least.
