1/2/26 FYI. Wings

I suggest making reservations!! Crazy busy, especially today on a Friday dinner rush. Quality/Quantity - We got lucky! As we got here, a nice lady gave up her counter top seating so we would not have to wait, THANK you! So today we got the following: Dirty Beto Burger - My daughter's option, and it was a home run; well ALL of our dishes were a home run! Bolo Pasta - My wife's order, another good dish. I just would have preferred more. Just being greedy. LOL. And I got more wings for my dinner (had wings for lunch also at Viethai in Santa Rosa; see other 5 star reviews). Actually, these wings were even better (slightly better). The flavor, slight kick, etc. And to wash it all down, I got the local Mad River Brewing Steelhead Extra Pale Ale. So smooth and refreshing, especially in a frosted glass. All orders were made to order, so please be patient. Ambiance - Very small local business. Service - 6 stars. From Matty, our very experienced waiter to the owner chef. Matty was so professional, I actually enjoyed watching him work. Work the tables, train the day-one waitress, communicate with the chef, etc. So impressive. Price - $65 + generous tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since opening in mid 2025. We will be regular customers but next time we will make reservations ahead of time. BTW - You are the talk of the town! Congrats again.

10/10!! Been wanting to try this place and I'm so glad we did!! Amazing service--loved our waitress, Emma-- she took care of us the whole night and was so sweet, made us feel very welcome. The restaurant is located in a place where you might overlook but it's a hidden gem. Really cute and cozy inside and the food! Everything we tried was 10 out of 10, the chicken was cooked perfectly--not too dry at all. Mashed potatoes were amazing, asparagus had a really good grilled flavor and the crab fat wings! Omg Crispy wings, hard to come by in Humboldt County, can't wait to come back. This will be our new place. Happy to have Smalls here in Eureka!

The location of this restaurant is in Eureka port city, in California, on the way to Redwood National and State Parks on US-101, so it's a pretty convenient stop. Parking is a street parking, also check side roads like O st. Restaurant is small but cozy with attentive and kind staff. Both bolo and crudo pasta were delicious and light.

The restaurant was super busy when we walked in and we were afraid we weren't going to be able to eat at this amazing place. We were so lucky that we did, the food was absolutely amazing. We ordered the crabfat chicken wings which were perfect. I loved the hint of crabfat and spice and the crispy chicken. We also ordered the squash pasta and pork belly which was one of their specials for the night. It was absolutely amazing, I loved the creamy pasta and the bites of squash with the seasoned pork belly. Street parking available here. Absolutely amazing meal, thank you for having us!

Lamb Meatballs & Garlic Bread

Have staying at Eureka for the last couple days during my camping trips by the redwoods and wow as someone from SoCal this joint's comfort food has cured my homesickness & made me feel like I was in Laguna Beach again. The inside has a very warm & cozy feel with a more rustic interior complimenting the outside environment of eureka. The service has been great at describing the meals and kept the ship tight. The lamb meatballs were terrific & super saturating. The Gruyère, brothy gravey, parsley, and caramelized onions added a rich & savory taste. While the meatballs themselves were packed in a more spiced flavor, from what I'm assuming was coriander/or cloves. Not much to say about the garlic bread that paired with the gravy terrifically as garlic bread never disappoints lol. Had the coffee creme brûlée for dessert and the custard tasted like tiramisu made into pudding. Could not have had a better meal during my journey through NorCal so far :)

Great new (opened May 2025) eatery in Eureka. We chanced by this spot on our way to find lunch and we were not disappointed. Great food, friendly service and the space is cute and full of interesting art. Kind of on the small side so if you're bringing a bigger group than 4, you might want to call ahead. We got the Bizniscut and the frittatas, super tasty and the side of potato's was perfectly cooked. They only serve brunch on Sunday, check out the pic for dinner hours. We can't wait to go back to try more items on the menu. Great new spot with amazing eats, my biscuit was light, the chicken perfectly fried with a light honey drizzle & a couple slices of ham to round out that salty sweet combo. Had a refreshing iced tea but we spied a nice vino selection to go with the dinner menu. Parking off to the side is a good idea as it's on 5th St/101 northbound.

Lamb burger

The food and service is really good. The portions were "small ". I had a couple of things that the restaurant could improve on. Their price for wine by the glass is a bit higher than most. Especially for the wine offerings they offer.

Bolo pasta dish

So many great choices on the menu, each with their own temptations. Choose the Bolo which is spaghetti sauce with beef and pork on bucatini pasta. Waitress was attentive but not intrusive. Serving size was just right with lots of sauce. Great experience for a new small restaurant.

I found this restauraunt on Yelp and we reserved it for my birthday dinner on a Saturday night. We sat by the window and had a beautiful view of the sunset and bay. Upon being seated we were served some bread with some whipped butter mixed with some sort of seafood I believed? I forgot, but the butter was delicious. Our first round of bread however, was average at best and was very dense and doughy. The next rounds of bread were significantly better though, so maybe there's an inconsistency with the way they bake their bread in-house. I ordered the seafood penne pasta and my boyfriend ordered the king salmon with risotto. Both were "specials" and were not on the menu. However after digging into reviews here, it seems they are not so much specials since both dishes have been served here for the past 7ish years. Seafood penne pasta: I would rate a 3/5, maybe a 2.5/5. The pasta itself was not al dente which was disappointing. The "star" of this dish was supposed to be the scallop, which was severely undercooked! It was super soft and mushy. The shrimp was alright...some were overcooked. The salmon was also dry. I think the only thing I really enjoyed was the mussels, clams, and the sauce. The sauce had some curry with a small kick to it. This dish was just okay. Escargot: We ordered as our appetizer, I'd give it a 3.5/5! The escargot was a little soft but paired wonderfully with the bread. Creme brûlée: 3/5. Our waitress kindly put a birthday candle on it for my birthday. :) I enjoyed it, and it was very custardy! The downside was that the sugar on top was too burnt. I can't speak much for my boyfriend's dish, I did have a bite of his salmon and it was alright, maybe a bit too salty. The service however was wonderful and our waitress was super kind and helpful. Maybe I would come back to try another dish if I'm back in the area.

Under normal circumstances I would have just walked out when I saw/heard the place, but we were at the end of our rope in finding a place to eat and we were very hungry. When my wife asked about a quiet place, the greeter kindly offered a place behind the activity and asked if that would be ok...then offered to turn off the music to the section that we were seated in. The waiter was professional and helpful. The fish and chips, and tacos were excellent, and I got to try a beer flight, so I'll know which of their beers to buy where I live. Usually my wife and I differ on the size of the tip, and she started to try to talk me into a lower tip, but stopped herself and said that the greeter was so helpful, and the service so good that she agreed that a larger tip was warranted. ...I almost decided not to come here at all because I was irritated by learning about the 3% fee they add to your bill...but I'm really glad that I wasn't so close-minded.
