The black and whites on the walls feel right out of a 50's newsreel. I love all that historic stuff from my own childhood, so it pleased me to go back in time for a little bit. I needed a slice and diet to carry me through the late afternoon and Louie's was right in front of me when we parked near the boards at the top of Rehoboth Ave. I knew nothing about pizza at this shore, but my Jersey roots made me comfortable it would be decent. The reheat on the mushroom slice was strong enough to crisp the firm scorched crust back to life, and allowed the mozzarella to sweat and melt, while the sliced dark schrooms remained embedded in the surrounding cheese. It was a smaller than expected triangle, but the taste and texture were fine. The crust was somewhat airy with a nice crunch; the red sauce wasn't memorable. Five bites and it was gone. Four Stars for the rekindled sandy memories.

When I opened the box, I was pleasantly surprised. The pizza looked awesome. They did not skimp on toppings, and the crust was just the way I like it...kind of thick with a little bit of burn. The pizza was nicely layered with toppings. It comes with a truffle oil but because I am allergic to mushrooms we did not have that. It definitely needs a little more of something. With online ordering and only 15 minute wait, we ordered 3 large pizzas without a second thought. The store is tucked into the Main Street of downtown Bethany. With a walk up section and pizza by the slice, they are perfect for a midday stop, but they also own the spot next door with plenty of tables to eat right there. The pizzas are expensive, but that's beach life. $24-30 for a large pizza is honestly normal for most of Bethany Beach. We ordered: Pepperoni - charred cup pepperoni with plenty of the topping Garlic Ricotta - garlicky white sauce with warm blobs of ricotta on top of a tasty cheese blend.
