Amazing açaí bowls and great coffee. I'm giving it a 4 because they put sugar or something super sweet in my coffee. When I said there was sugar in it they claimed there wasn't so I had to buy a duplicate coffee. I have been coming here for a while and ordering the same coffee so I know when there is copious amounts of sugar added or not. A must!!! Many vegan options and all so healthy! One of the cutest restaurants I've ever been in and was recommended to me by a friend in Tallahassee. I recommend anything from the breakfast menu - the Montauk, the cocoa beach smoothie, any of the smoothie bowls and my parents spoke highly of the fish! Stopped in here after watching the sunrise for a juice & bowl! I arrived right when they opened and the girl at the front was incredibly sweet, smiley! Definitely great energy in here! She assured me all of their granola is now gluten free (YAY)! I got the sunny garcia juice (to die for) and the enter the dragon bowl + add peanut butter. It was heaven. I can't get over the beachy fun vibe. I love all the stickers on the wall outside and inside is super unique. I've tried two of their healthy shots. They have an assortment of healthy breakfast and lunch items plus some grab-and-go snacks and drinks. The staff is friendly and efficient (they moved through a large group we brought through pretty quickly). This place is normally a 5, but I feel front end is getting worse. I live in CB and Uber a couple times a month in the morning to appts in Melboune for work.. I always call in and place a pickup coffee, then specify Let them know I am ubering and reIitterate to have it ready since I have 5 minutes for a stop since I know it will be busy. I know there will be a line, since the place is a local fave.. I would say them having it ready is 50/50. Always super frustrating when I order 10-15 minutes before, let them know to please have it ready and when I get here they are just starting it. It's not like they haven't gotten to my order, i always get a "oh, we knew it would be a quick order when you got here" or "we wait since you ordered ice in it" even though I specify. So I always have to say, "cancel the order" and I grab a Yerba matte to go. This is a small complaint I know, but I always set expectations in my call and whoever I am speaking with says, "yeah yeah, got it" then it's literally a 50/50 gamble if I get it. I don't do chains so want to give them my business, but after today I will be hitting trying somewhere new since coffee was needed. All in all this place is pretty solid. Great food, great drinks drinks. My GF is vegetarian so this is always one of her faves. I come in here a few times a month and work for about 2 hours in the back and have coffee then lunch and always enjoy it. Great local spot. I encourage to hit up and have lunch there or grab to go for a day at the beach. So yes, it's a great spot. But the poor review is necessary to alert the business I am going to start attempting Juice and Java across the street due to lack of front end love. read more

My family came in looking for good coffee, after had gone to another location & was super disappointed, we came across this cute little cafe. Love the vibe, the staff was super nice. Loved all the nostalgia decor inside. The coffee wasn't strong at all but we ordered 3 of the different choices of avo toast and it was really good. The bread was yummy and their branding clothe & tote bags inside were super cute. We got a shirt & tote bag. I would come back for the food, still on the hunt for good coffee though. I dont go to Cocoa Beach much, but I will definitely stop at The Surfinista next time I am in town I will definitely stop here. Lots of Slater memorabilia decorate the dining area, makes me feel like I'm on the North Shore, sorry Florida, not dissing ya, just those are my roots.
