Literally a 3 min walk the beach cafe surfinista is a surfing themed breakfast brunch cafe that serves fresh pressed juice and smoothies. I came here after a morning of being hot and dehydrated at the beach and ordered the blitz vegan breakfast sandwich without cheese as that was one of the few ways I can get a lactose free meal. The sandwich was really good especially for being vegan the egg tasted better than regular eggs and the ingredients were definitely very fresh the cafe itself had a very nice ambience especially for surfer town that is cocoa beach, most people however were grab and go. It is also very cozy so I could see myself studying here for midterms or finals when I got tired of being on campus. The service was also really good as everybody was very nice and friendly especially the girl with purple hair Sam who was very accommodating. My one suggestion would be have more all natural juices with only one ingredient such as freshly squeezed orange juice or coconuts as that is something I really miss from other countries Pros: quaint nicely themed cafe, impressive vegan food Cons: vast menu need more basic juices read more

What an awesome little place on A1A south bound! This is just north of Minuteman, about a 2 blocks. You get in line in the front to order food. If you have multiple people, send one to grab a table if dining in. Grab a menu to see the food, there's drinks on and little snacks on display in to choose from. They accept most forms of payment. After ordering, you sit down, and they'll yell out your name when your food is ready. This tactic works surprisingly well!! We got our food (breakfast) quick and hot! Had the breakfast burrito and the English muffins breakfast. Had lattes and the dirty chai latte. The dirty chai was a bit too much for me personally, would recommend going with the normal chai then going from there haha. Due to the quick and very polite service, and the wowing interior, 4 stars. I understand the bowl is compostable but it definitely didn't feel fresh with the squishiness of the bowl and condensation around it. It's mostly juice rather than açaí because all I taste is mango. Loved this spot so much on vacation we came here two days in a row. Typically when I'm on vacation, I don't like to go back to the same restaurant. I love trying something new. BUT the Surfanista made an exception. It was walking distance from where we were staying so it was perfect. Let's talk atmosphere and staff- the decor is so rad. The vintage surf culture aesthetic was done soo well. They have a small surf store inside the restaurant which is sectioned off on the side. Everything is more than reasonably priced. There's a ping pong table in the back which was so fun to play when we were full of carbs. The staff was SO sweet, well organized and efficient. It must be the crystals and energy in the shop! Food review: we ordered the Biarritz on an everything bagel, extra toasted. The egg is like a soufflé. So soft and delicate with flavor. The combo of spinach and tomato add the perfect amount of acid and freshness to the sandwich. I got the turkey bacon on it once and didn't care much for it. Soo I suggest sticking to the original with no additions. Our friend is vegan so she had SO many options here, which was awesome!! It's a walk up, order and pay at the counter type place. They call your name for the order when it's ready. Seating: Ample seating inside, however the seating outside is very limited and accommodates 4 to a table. It's first come first serve so make sure you don't come at a peak time if you want to sit outside. Drinks: coffee and juice were superb!! I love the iced vanilla latte with oat milk. I got to try their blue lemonade too. It was out of this world! Crazy good. Who knew the combo of coconut water and lemonade would be so spectacular. It's a must try for sure. We'd already looked at the menu online because of several food allergies in our family so we all had an idea of what we were getting and also verified with the staff that the items our daughters ordered did not contain nuts. It's set up where you order, pay, seat yourself, and they find you and bring you your order. There are menus in a basket on the counter in case you don't have it pulled up on your phone. It was already getting warm outside so we opted to find a table inside. The decor is pretty cool so we walked around to check the space out. There is a little gift shop area and behind it is a ping pong table and places to sit. The other room has a bar area and more tables. We saw people working, other families eating, and locals enjoying breakfast. Now to talk about the food. It's AMAZING. We ordered 2 açaí bowls both different combinations, 2 different bagels - 1 w/ lox & the other w/ pb, avocado toast that was topped with blueberries, OJ, and coffee. The food is not only presented beautifully but is delicious. The açaí bowls are huge and I needed to pack the bagel up to go because we just couldn't finish it. I'm still thinking about that breakfast almost a week later and I'm not even a breakfast person, lol. It's that good. During this short vacation I was happy we found this place. It's amazing! We came for breakfast every morning. They have amazing smoothies, great coffee, and the food is flavorful abs healthy. It is also a small surf shop. You can find tshirts, hats, boards. Mugs and local honey! The place is really spacious inside with really cute seating spaces...there is a little nook with moody blue light and a space with couches next to old TV sets playing surf videos. There is a ping pong table in the back and they play the chillest music. The vibe is just fantastic. There is also outdoor seating in the front which is dog friendly. Must try the Waikiki smoothie...piña colada vibes. Also the the Martinique ...is a smoke salmon bagel sandwich, it's delicious! We also had the oatmeal, the avo toast with coconut bacon (it's really good) and the tuna wrap, and the banana toast. All great! This place is a winner. Service is fantastic! Could've been good but had way too much of this syrupy sweet glaze on it, especially with the pineapple salsa being very sweet. Even the rice was mostly saturated unfortunately. Also I get full quickly but the portion of non-rice ingredients was a bit small, even for me. Avocado toast is made with really thick and soft untoasted toast. Very thin layer of mashed avocado, which wouldn't be enough even if the toast was a proper thickness. The quality of ingredients seems to be good though. read more

Service is always amazing, and I was so relieved that they haven't changed the decor to be more corporate!! For that reason i think surfinista will stay iconic for many years to come. Unfortunately they got rid of all their best fruits, so now all the açaí bowls are just a mix of apple banana strawberry and blueberry. My all time favorite food was their açaí bowl with mango, pineapple, orange, banana & strawberry, but now they don't have any tropical fruits (which seems important at such a tropical place¿?) except for in the normal smoothies (which is probably just tropical fruit juice or they would be able to put it in bowls too) so RIP my favorite food ig, ill have to learn how to make it myself read more

Incredibly irresponsible business I have never once been to a restaurant that did not list common allergens, especially NUTS in the ingredients list. It is not fast service. But everything is fresh and healthy. The owner is pretty health knowledgeable and open to teaching. No one working there seems to be happy or friendly, kind of short.
