The fajitas came with beans and rice, flour tortillas, lettuce, pico, guac and sour cream

I drive past this place at least 3 times a week. I live in the neighborhood and decided to try it out. A busy Sunday afternoon, a packed restaurant with good vibes, good food bonding over FIFA. What a great way to spend an afternoon. Our waiter was welcoming and made some great recommendations. We chose the queso dip with chorizo, tacos and steak and chicken fajitas. Everything was fresh and so flavorful. The chips were hot and crispy. The queso was cheesy and packed with flavor. I could have continued eating those chips and queso as my meal. The fajitas were hot, the meats were tender and well seasoned. The tacos were perfect! Now that I know this place exists, I will definitely be returning. Can't wait to try some other items on the menu.

We heard raving reviews from family that this place was great. Came back a second time within the next week, it was so good. Staff is very friendly (specifically Christian) and gave some helpful recommendations. Any drinks we got were very good, especially any of their margaritas. All the tacos we've had tasted so good. Tortillas were made in house too. We've had the Asada, Adobado, Ensenada Fish, Baja Shrimp, Birria, Chancho, Pulpo, and Pollo tacos. They all have different toppings so you get different flavor profiles for each. We've also tried the Taquitos de Pato (Duck Taquitos) and we've always had to order a second one because of the sauce. The Pato con Mole was also so flavorful and the duck was cooked so well, it came off the bone easily. Their Chocoflan for dessert was also very solid but you'll probably take it home because you're going to want to order everything off the menu. Very nice laid back Mexican place meets cocktail bar. Pretty laid back spot. You can come here for a date, meet with some friends, and even catch a game with all the TVs they have around the bar. Great addition to the Ashburn area.

The best chicken pozole I've ever had! I came in for lunch and nearly had the place to myself. Service was great, and offered suggestions. I was starving and it was a little bit chilly outside, so I ordered three tacos and the cup of chicken pozole. My favorite item was the pozole, but the three fish, shrimp, and birria tacos were tasty. The I had the grilled octopus taco--also good. Nice decor and casual atmosphere.

My friend and I ate at the restaurant and the restaurant was clean. There were several patrons in there at the time. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We ordered several tacos and they were just OK. Probably will not order from here again, but not sure yet.

Delicious food as always - and the beans have lots of flavor now - great job, chef! Fajitas, tacos and churros are what dreams are made of!

Was in the area and craving some tacos so dropped in. We came around lunch time on a weekday and was pretty empty so a good spot for a quick lunch if that's what you're looking for. Inside is a large seating area with a bar in the middle which I'm sure gets pretty busy around happy hour. Service was quick and personable and have no complaints there. As for the food if you try nothing else I would suggest the carne asada fries. Of the items we tried they were by far the best. The tacos were also very good with a good blend of flavors. Not the most authentic tacos but they'll get the job done.

Legit this is probably the best tacos I've ever had!! I'm not one to just say this. Homemade corn tortillas and hot sauce. Bartender says chef is big on freshness and it showed. Enjoyed every bite!!

This was a great find! Delicious fish and chips and the Maine basket of fried oysters and sautéed scallops. The service was efficient and friendly, and I liked the fish shack ambiance.

Was really hoping to like this place more than we did. Let me start with the service, because that was the highlight of the evening. We ate at the bar and had no trouble getting drink refills and replenishing water. Food was quick to come out. We ordered the guacamole appetizer, several different tacos, and the chicken nachos. The guacamole did not have much flavor and the chips were way too salty. The tacos all had decent flavor, but they were very lukewarm. It's almost like they have been made hours beforehand. Same thing with the chicken nachos, I would have thought that the chicken would've been warmer to have melted the cheese on top, but that did not happen. Great beer selection. Great prices. I would probably return to give them another chance and get a full entree meal to make it true decision on this place.

Everything had so much flavor! Fan of their sister restaurant in Woodbridge, glad they opened something closer to us. Will be back.

If you offer a signature cocktail you should let your guests know the price. $22 for a margarita is extreme! will never go back!

It was by no means packed, there were a few tables empty the duration of our meal as people ate and left. But the service was INCREDIBLY slow. They sent out an amuse-bouche which was nice- bacon and pimento in a little wonton cup. Our appetizers came out more than 30 minutes later. We ordered our son's kid's meal first, before we ordered our apps, but it came out after our entree's which was closer to 7:15. I assume the kid's meal coming out late was an awful server mistake, I can't imagine it would take over an hour to make a burger and fry up some potatoes. The chef was nice enough to let us order the octopus from the tasting menu (it was the only reason we came here, didn't realize it was part of the tasting). I almost did order the 5 course tasting menu, because it looked really good- but I'm so thankful I didn't. The table behind us was seated before us and by the time we left he was only on his third course. I'm also always cold but it was really warm in the restaurant. Not sure if their ac was broken or if it couldn't keep up with the weather. Not knocking the restaurant for this, things happen. But they probably could've used another few fans. We were the one table in the middle so the air wasn't getting to us. Not knocking the restaurant at all for this, it's a hot hot summer and things like this happen. The kid's meal portion was huge, actually bigger than my gnocchi order. We also ordered the brussels, pork ribs, seared tuna, tagliatelle, branzino, and pork chop. The pork chop was the most memorable thing. Based on this experience we wouldn't come back here on our own. We wouldn't rule it out though- if someone wanted to go here with us for any reason, we would consider giving it another shot.

The cozy atmosphere, stone hearth, and warm decor make it the perfect place for a date night, a special occasion, or just a great evening out. The food is outstanding. The crab dip, the housemade pasta, and the burger are all incredible -- clearly made with real care and quality ingredients. It projects an English modern cabin vibe, but with a touch on whimsy (see mustache coat hangers on booths!). The fireplace is centrally located and gives off an essence of coziness. Complimenting the ambiance, the service was great! The server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, making great recommendations. We came for brunch and ordered the breakfast burger and pork belly breakfast sandwich. We also split the avocado toast as a starter (we were starving!). The avocado toast was perfectly prepared - toast was cripsy on the outside and chewy and thick on the inside. Ample smattering of smashed avocado with the fixin's. The burger was very good and my friend said they would totally order it again. The pork belly breakfast sandwich held together perfectly despite the inside being heavy. Pork belly remained perfectly crunchy and it had a heavy helping of melted cheese that was not overpowering. Brunch was amazing and we want to go back and experience the patio when it's warmer and also some live music! Such a great vibe and good food!

However, the rest of the meal was a major disappointment. The Egg Fried Rice was bland and not worth ordering. The Crispy Duck: A Major Letdown I usually love Crispy Duck, but they completely messed it up. While the skin was crispy on the outside, the meat was totally raw on the inside. It had an unappealing smell, suggesting it wasn't cooked properly at all. It was served on top of white rice, which offered no flavor or value to the dish, aside from the sweet soy sauce. I don't remember the name but it was thai black tea, apple cider, and ginger beer. It was very good. My husband got a coke. For food, we ordered the vegetable rolls for an app. I ordered the chicken cashew (under "stir fry"), while my husband ordered the crispy duck basil (under "thaitan highlight"). FOOD: -vegetable rolls - these were delightfully crispy and the dipping sauce was balanced -chicken cashew - the cashews were buttery and the chicken was moist. it was a bit spicy. the rice was a little dry -crispy duck basil - the duck was delicious and addictive, but spicy. both entrees were a bit above our spice level but the flavor was really great. we had to wait a while for our check and the waiter only checked on us when we were almost done. this place is close to our house, but unfortunately, there are better places than this. that's not a knock on them, there's just a lot of competition in the area. we would return and ask for less spice.
