the first two times I've been here were really good. i ordered the birria ramen/tacos and it was great and filling. however the most recent time i visited i ordered nachos and they did not live up to the expectations especially for damn near $20. when i got home i realized the container wasn't closed properly and was open which meant the nachos were slightly soggy and lukewarm. the taste wasn't bad and it was a good portion of food, but for $20 nachos they could've thrown more toppings like beans and pico and not just meat and cheese. they asked me if i wanted my sour cream on the side which i assumed orginally came with the nachos but when i checked my receipt i was charged an extra $1. for a dollop of sour cream. ok. def would only stick with their birria or tacos.

Courteous staff. Everyone was pleasant. The seating area is very small. Mostly for take out. Ordered the Vampiro Taco Beef and Chicken. As well as Birria Queso Beef. Pictured below. Had an industrial fan to keep it cool. Food is made to order, expected wait time should be about 15 minutes. The Vampiro Taco's are made with flour and a thick white cheese. Delicious! The Quesobirria was crispy and toasted. Excellent flavor and the consome was a perfect size. Healthy portions for what you get elsewhere. Reasonable price! They do not skimp with the meat. This is a definite try and worth the wait. Would recommend visiting in person instead of ordering for delivering. To really get the full experience you should try and eat it there or as soon as possible. Downfalls, lack of seating and parking can be hit or miss. Directly across the street they offer 1 Free hour street parking.

Grabbed a quick to go order on a whim and I was so impressed. The inside was small but had a couple of chairs to sit in. They were fast with my order and friendly as well. The quesadilla came with a consommé that was delish. It was spicy and the quesadilla was great but light on the cheese for me. Definitely a good choice

Best tacos I've had in Worcester. It's more of a takeout place, but they do have some seats. The service was friendly and our food was ready quickly. We tried some pork quesabirria tacos and carne asada vampire tacos. Both were sooo good, and they so kindly threw in some extra tacos. Worth trying both types of tacos, but for me the birria tacos were the winners. I'm pretty sure you can't go wrong with anything on the menu though. Will be directing people here for quality birria tacos in the Woo!

This Taco Spot is pretty solid. Tacos here are definitely for the cheese lovers. And since I'm a cheese lover, I definitely enjoyed the tacos here. I tried birria beef tacos and chicken vampiro tacos. What I really enjoyed about the tacos is the jalapeños they added. It gave that extra crunch and spice to the tacos. The vampiro tacos is worth a try too. Very tasty. The consome wasn't bad. I'm sure this spot is a turn off for a lot of the locals since many believe the parking here is very limited. I decided to visit anyway with that impression and I asked the young lady about parking. She mentioned that you can park in the back where the glass business is--more towards the back of the lot itself. Or there's street parking (if available). They have a few stools you can sit in to eat if that's what you like. Overall, my visit was pleasant and tacos were good. I'll give it another go some day. Cheers

Absolutely fantastic little spot in Worcester. Ever since I started expanding my pallet, this is a spot I CONSTANTLY come back to. Service is great, the owner is there frequently (and knows exactly what I want since I'm there at least once a week at this point ). I don't think I have ever loved one type of food so much that I buy the same thing every time and almost never change it. If you order online, you get the "secret menu" per say and I very much wish to try it, but door dash and me kinda have beef so I'm pretty content to stay where I am with what I get.

Called and ordered two tacos one chicken one beef and the service was very nice and it was done fast so they asked me eta so they didn't start it too soon. Great taco place. Loved their chicken tacos. Seems like authentic Mexican tacos. They serve chicken consommé for those that don't eat beef or pork. We tried their regular tacos and the vampiro. The vampiros were awesome. It's mostly a take out place. The surrounding area is not quite nice so I wish they had opened in the Kelley square area where there are other really nice places to eat. read more

the chicken birria quesadilla was fire it was freshly made, there was a lot of cheese, & the consome added the perfect touch. the broth wasn't the best i've had, the quesadilla didn't have much flavor, & the salsa verde was... different. i'm mexican & i like it a specific way, so take that with a grain of salt. i loved it though!! read more

Local spot with great food. The ingredients are great and it's all made to order. If I had to give 2 suggestions it would be having more topping options and adding more stuff to the taco, portions are a bit small. Despite my suggestions I will still be coming back regularly because it's that good. read more

Okay this place is game changing. Not only is it the best taco in Worcester, but probably well beyond. Even better than what I've had in Mexico. You're messing up if you don't get Vampiro style with consommé for dipping. It's pretty much take out only, but don't let that deter you. Take some home and crack open your tequila there. read more

With a name like The Taco Spot, you set a precedence. The friendly folks at The Taco Spot do it justice. They're tacos are delicious and authentic, I would say the best I've had in New England, which from a former Texan is saying a lot. Anything you get here will be good, but carne asada tacos are a classic and my favorite. Vampiro tacos are great if you like the crispy cheese but personally I like the melty cheese better. If you've never had birria tacos, come try these one, it's a life changing experience. read more

Stopped here on business trip to Boston. Maybe the best taco I've ever eaten. They do something with the tortilla shell where it's super thin but crispy and incredibly flavorful. Had the chicken tacos. Fast service too. Amazing! read more

finally made the trip this week, simply amazing!! Grabbed Birria beef tacos, and 2 types of quesadillas with everything on it. Inside has 2 counters with a few stools to sit if you want to eat it there. We did take out, and appreciated they put holes in the containers let steam out. Was quite busy but service was patient, friendly and willing to offer suggestions! What we didn't eat made amazing leftovers next day. Highly recommend read more

By far the best tacos around. Only issue are the hours they are open is limited and parking. If you can get past that, you will not be disappointed. Strongly suggest getting your food to go as seating is limited. Just writing this review makes me want more. read more

I think the service here is excellent. Me and my husband are self-proclaimed birria connoisseurs so of course we had to try this spot. As soon as we walked in, the owner greeted us joyfully and we felt immediately welcome. We ordered the beef birria taco along with another taco with a slice of melted cheese. Both were DIVINE and the consomme was the best we have ever had of all the spots we tried. If I had to nitpick at anything, we would have liked a squeeze of lime to brighten the tacos along with some fresh cilantro and white onions. In addition their hot sauces were bottled and we were hoping for a hot sauce that was unique to that spot. I would suggest that if they do serve a bottled sauce, maybe serve it in a way that makes it look homemade. All in all the tacos were delish and we definitely left happy. Thanks for a great taco experience. We would have taken pictures but we ate em too fast. So good!!! read more

Every summer my husband and I go on a food quest. This summer's quest was to find the best tacos within an hour drive of our New Hampshire home. I do believe Taco Spot has delivered on that. We ordered the vampiro taco with barria beef and all the fixings. It was crispy, chewy, cheesy, flavorful, juicy and spicy! It delivered on texture and taste! The place has no parking, and when I went in I could barely hear myself think over the blaring music that was playing. There was 2 people working and one looked underage on the grill. When I got my order I debated on staying to eat there because of the loud music...Got home finished one taco that had barely any pork in it and I pulled a long black hair out of my vampiro taco when I was almost finished. I also was super sick that night. GROSS! Will not be coming back. read more

They all come with rice and beans, which I thought was a great value. My daughter got one of the kids' meals, the chicken fingers she didn't seem to enjoy the chicken, but I tasted them myself, and they tasted more along the lines of chicken nuggets which is okay . I thought they were pretty decent, but not what I expected! I ordered the bacon shrimp tacos, which in my eyes were five star. I really enjoyed the combination of flavors with the garlic shrimp and the side cilantro sauce. They also come with rice and beans on the side. I will always recommend and come back. They were ultimately able to accommodate us, but it immediately made us feel a bit unwelcome, especially considering we specifically reserved ahead of time so the restaurant could properly prepare and staff for a larger party. Once seated, the experience continued downhill. Our waitress appeared visibly frustrated or unhappy from the start, though I can't say for certain whether it was because of our party size. One of the first things we asked was whether the AC was working, since it was over 90 degrees that day, and we were informed that it was not functioning. While uncomfortable, we tried not to let it ruin the evening because this was my graduation celebration and we simply wanted to enjoy the meal together. Service throughout the night was extremely poor. The waitress only took half of the table's drink order initially, disappeared for around 10 minutes, then returned to finish taking the rest. The same delays happened again when taking food orders. After our orders were placed, she barely checked on our table at all. We repeatedly needed napkins, drink refills, and general assistance, but had difficulty getting her attention while she stood near the register on her phone for extended periods of time. As the restaurant became busier after 5 PM, we couldn't help but notice that other guests were being greeted, seated, and attended to much more promptly while our table of 10 felt forgotten and neglected for most of the evening. I understand larger parties can require more coordination and patience, and we were understanding about longer food wait times. However, basic attentiveness and hospitality were missing entirely. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this restaurant for larger parties and hope the wait staff receives additional customer service training moving forward.

The rice and beans were very good and the Flautas were good. We weren't too impressed with the Chicken Empanada. Although we didn't have drinks, I noticed they have a nice bar and many patrons were ordering a variety of drinks. I hope to visit again soon to try out something more traditional and possibly drinks!

I have been hearing a lot of good things about the Taco Spot. They are located at 264 Grafton St. The staff and cooks were very friendly. We ate our tacos there but the place is small. More of a take out spot. I had the Birriaqueso tacos with the consome. I have to say they were incredible probably the best tacos I have ever had. The taco shell was grilled and the Birria beef was moist and delicious. I cannot wait to try other items on their menu. I highly recommend The Taco Spot. You will love it!!! read more
