My sister and I visited here with a friend for lunch during the holidays! It was very clean and our server was very kind. We visited on a Wednesday, which is a day where they have $6 martinis! While I didn't get a martini, my sister and our friend loved theirs! The food was good! It actually exceeded our expectations for a place we found last minute. Went last night, super busy and loud bc it's Trivia Thursday. Food was fast, which made up for the slower service. Trivia seemed like it'd be fun, drink menu is plentiful. Wings 3/5, rib tips 4/5, nachos 5/5, fries 4/5, onion rings 4/5 only bc they are thicker than I like and I asked about that. Empty drinks bc it was very bustling. We will go back, though. Talking Pint is very good. Great local beer selection, pretty good food. Sports on TV, live music, generally always good service. If you sit at the bar, you will smell like the place. They cook all their food on the flat top right there, so prepare to wash your clothes immediately after getting home. Open nice and late. read more

We reserved a space in the The Talking Point for a large group. It was a great experience, they set up a buffet with items we chose, all of it was very delicious. If you love a laid back atmosphere with lots of choices you've come to the right place! The talking pint is located in a plaza and has plenty space for parking. They love animals (outside seating available) and has a long list of local beers and ciders to try. Running from $5-8 a glass They also have a few food options like pretzels, loaded chicken bites and more. We ordered the pretzel and it was small, and over cooked. The Keri bomb bites were delicious! I've been here a few time, in fact I use to go to the old location (dive bar) as well. Definitely the menu has got better. They now have a great burger and micro brew selection and the service is very nice. I especially like the Onion Soup burger and Smash Burgers. This last time I went I ventured outside their core menu items (burgers, burgers, burgers,,,), I should have not, because it was the worst fish n chips or fried fish period I've ever had. It tasted oily and sour. I fry a lot fish and this usually happens when oil temp is not hot enough when you drop the fish in it &or using old oil. Not sure what the case is here. I give them 4 stars and not less because at their core (burgers & nice micro beer selection) they are very good. Please keep the beers coming and continue making great burgers. For those visiting - putting your money on the burger maybe your best bet at avoiding disappointment. read more

Local bar / pub in my neighborhood that is very welcoming to me and everyone knows my name! That's pretty cool! And I don't know if you can get any more welcoming than that, can you? All I know is I feel comfortable here, and always have a good time. Doesn't matter who I go with, either. I always manage to have fun because this place has a relaxed vibe, where I can be silly! Haha! I've met a few characters here too, and they have always been cool and don't get all up in my space, and are quite nice to chat with. I also like that there is NO SMOKING inside. If you must, there are a few wrought iron patio tables and chairs outside for those who do want to indulge. The bar also serves up your typical bar food in the evening. It's pretty average, and that's where the star deduction comes from. I have eaten burgers here, and they are a bit on the greasy side; very typical though. It would help if they tried to come up with some special dishes that nobody else has, to amp up their food sales, but most people don't come here for the food, but rather, to drink. Speaking of drinking here, sometimes there is live music. There's not a standard band, just a lone guitarist who can play pretty well. There also is no space for dancing, it being relatively small. It makes the place unique. The other thing worth mentioning, and perhaps the most important thing, is that they have a VERY LARGE SELECTION of local and inexpensive IPA beers! They are usually $3.50 to $5.50, with a few for $6. I am more of a wine drinker, so that's usually my choice of poison. Once in awhile though, I talk myself into an IPA or a Stella. Four of us went for the first time on Saturday February 18, 2023 around 3:30 pm. Everything we were served was delicious but the bacon wrapped shrimp were awesome. Our only complaint was that it was very cold and no tables were available on their patio. We also had the cheesecake and mug of mud for dessert and both were great. Can't wait to go back! read more

Great food and cold beer! We enjoyed our visit on an RV trip in this area. I had the chili (a bit of a kick) and the wedge salad. Both delicious. My husband had the pasta with garlic and oil, sausage and cherry tomatoes. Great he cleaned the plate clean. Lots of beers on tap as well as a huge bottle selection. Churros we took home -nice! Decided to try this neighborhood restaurant based on a recommendation. The service was good, but the food was not good at all. The only thing decent was their fries. Our food was not hot, and their wings are so rubbery and gross! It's almost as if they boiled them first, then put them in the fryer. Buffalo wings need to have a crispy skin under the sauce. Big issue is the sound quality of the place. Too loud. Then throw in live music- I'm sure the performer was good, but all you heard was nails on a chalkboard. We ordered a meal from here through Door Dash. I will not be ordering from here again. We ordered the chicken philly and a Greek sandwich. It was the blandest chicken we've had. Probably some frozen chicken breasts that were reheated for the sake of these meals. It was dry and I am annoyed that the reviews were as high as they were because they were misleading. It's also clear that she hates customer service which is too bad since she works a job in customer service. The only good experience I had was she wasn't only rude just to me but to everyone else around me. I'd love to come back when Crystal's no longer works there. Not a bad local/neighborhood bar. I live nearby, so I've seen this place several times, but a friend recommended we go. I have to say the beer selection was impressive. They have around 50-60 beers (tap, bottle, and can) to choose from. I'm a PBR guy (drank PBR before the hipsters drank it) and they have some great deals. This place has about 12-15 seats at the bar, in addition to a couple of tables (4 seats each) and a couple of high tables. There are several (4-6) TV's around the bar with sports on - my kind of place! The lighting is dim, the noise level is average for a bar except on night when they have live music - which can be a little loud for such a confined area - and the place is clean. The staff is great. I met Matt, the owner. Really nice guy and down to earth! The bar tender was attentive and quick. They serve food here, but the kitchen is on one side of the bar. The good news is that there's a huge vent right above the cooking area so the bar doesn't smell like grilled meat all the time. I ordered the buffalo bits, which is essentially just a grilled chicken breast cut into bites and Franks (or some other hot sauce) is applied. The good news is that it seems to be all real food (not processed) that they cook there. Here's why it doesn't get five stars though. The chicken wasn't great. I could tell it was previously frozen, it wasn't really seasoned, and it was slightly undercooked (I could tell from the couple of rubbery textured pieces of chicken I bit into). I will try other things on the menu and provide updates. Overall - good bar, great prices, friendly staff, clean joint, and lots of variety when it comes to beer. I'll definitely be back....just not for the buffalo bites. read more

I love this local place. Got turned on through a friend after they just opened. Great small atmosphere, good people, good beer, fun stuff to do. The owner Matt is very cool and has good microbrews on tap and plenty of food (sandwiches, hot dogs salads, soups; that kind of thing.) Live music, board games, walls you can write on, a freakin' huge old-ass console tv that you can watch horror movies on and laugh at with your friends (Don't worry, there's a flat screen too). Rude and inpatient, she had no customer service skills since the time we arrive she did not make us feel welcome..... we got cold food my sons onion rings where over cooked , she didn't even know the drinks on beer menu, she Said everything was on Happy Hour... I paid over $60 dollars for two beers and one meal and appetizer, and was told to go inside to look if we wanted to order something else there was too much for her to name them all... I left No tip with my bill because I was disappointed at the service ... so I left two Quarters on the table and she yelled out loud "HOW RUDE" as I was getting in my car ... and I had to reply... "YES VERY RUDE" I use to like it there but I don't recommend it at all... never will be coming back since they also remove the delicious Funnel fries they use to serve.. don't go there if you want to have a good meal and good service. can't have them both! if I were to choose, I would leave zero stars for this poor service. read more

I used to be a regular at this pub since I lived about 5 minutes away from it and was one of its first customers when it opened. The owner Matt is awesome and his sandwiches and home-cooked food are great. The beer selection is top notch. The wine options are spectacular. This is such a splendid local joint. Every time my brother from out of town visited, we would go there and Matt would always remember his name even though my bro only visited me about once a year. Came to have dinner at this establishment and didn't even get to try it. I purchased a 30 for 15 deal on local flavor.com. The fine print clearly says one per table. We had a large group and asked to be seated at different tables. Manager said we could only use one per group. So we found out quickly that it is a crooked web site and false advertising. Also found out that according to The Talking Pint if you know someone eating a their establishment at the same time you are that you are considered a group. Even if you rode in different vehicles and sit at different tables. It is a poor business tactic to get people to spend their money to come to your establishment then change the rules on them when they arrive. I'm just wondering if three other customers bought the deal and happen to show up at the same time and sit at different tables how you choose which two can't use what they purchased based on false advertising. Anyway I don't recommend spending any of your money at this very crooked establishment. One star because zero is not an option! read more

Found this gem after Hurricane Irma for it was one of the only places open. Walking in it felt like a place we would hang out to have a drink and watch a game. Pink and red meat was really disgusting. The beer I ordered was barely colder than room temperature and the service was lackluster.
