We stopped on our way back to the Bay Area from Yosemite and are so glad we did!! Really good beer, tasty food, friendly and quick service.

I was very excited to give it a try. The outside seating looks nice and I like the way hey decorated the inside, it is a bit cozy though. They have a nice assortment of beer, which you would expect, but I was still pleased by it. But I was very disappointed in the food. The 3 of us ordered a small pizza, philly cheesesteak, and bbq chicken sandwich. I didn't enjoy any of the food. Left me disappointed. I plan on trying them again soon. Maybe only appetizers next time. read more

Pizza was delicious I got the Philly steak pizza very tasty. Not like a regular pizza joint. It more like gourmet. They have all kinds of different beers on tap for days ... atmosphere was chill music was on point. read more

Our first time here for us, I had the Calzone and My wife had a salad, thumbs up on both. I had a great beer and my wife had a Chardonnay which we both enjoyed. We will return and update all, by the way the ambiance is very nice and the service (Lexy) is great. read more

Decided to check this place out last Sunday (9/30) for some football. Loved the decor and overall vibe. Service was fast and friendly. Modelo Michelada was tasty! Wife and kids joined me later for some lunch. Two boys had kids pizza, one had kiddie Mac n cheese. Food was devoured! Wife and I shared a large chicken & artichokes with creamy garlic sauce. Filled us up and it was absolutely delicious. Can get a lil loud on football Sunday, but that is to be expected. Overall great experience. I will definitely be back!! read more

Tried The Tap House with my husband for lunch today. I was kindly greeted by a server. She was so nice and personable. She offered me the lunch specials as well as a wine special. She even made my wine choice into a spritzer for me. We had the Italian Nachos as an appetizer which was a interesting combination of ingredients but was so delicious. The lunch portion was perfect. We also had a small pepperoni pizza as well as a phillycheese steak sandwich. Everything was delicious and the patio seating was cool and relaxing. I am so happy Madera has another place to have a nice bite to eat. read more

So terrible!! Was really hoping for it to be great. The food was nasty to say the least. We ordered the nachos. They were cold and taste less. The Philly cheese was even worse. All bread and the meat tasted old and none on the sandwich. The best thing we ate was the store bought kettle chips. The beer for being a tap house was disappointing too. Nothing good about this place but the cute chairs. There were 5 employees standing around and the bathrooms needed to be cleaned. read more

For a craft beer drinker this place barley meets that standard. I've only been one and service was not that good so has keep me from trying it again plus again the beer selection was a joke. We sat at the bar as the people outside were holding available tables for their friends that were still not there by the time we left. So we were disappointed we could not enjoy the outdoor seating area. It's a bit confusing where to enter as the out door gated part is not marked. The bartender did not greet us just asked what we wanted. Never checked in and had to purposefully make eye contact so we could get service to cash out. read more

First visit here and it was enjoyable. Friendly neighborhood bar vibe nicely decorated with lots of natural light. They serve beer of course, bottle and tap, as well as wine. They have have a sufficient menu of casual food. We shared a build your own pizza and salad. Food was good and Michelada was very good. First off, for being a "Tap House" they don't really have many beers on tap. There's not a whole lot of variety. Second, HORRIBLE customer service. It wasn't really busy but it took over 30 minutes to close out our tab and we were ready to pay and had our card and cash out for when she brought us the tab. Well, instead of taking our payment, which was obviously in our hand so she could take immediately, she drops off the check and walks away. So fine, we wait about 10 minutes until finally we couldn't just sit there while she played around on the computer. It's really not worth it. They need to work on their customer service if they want to succeed. I will not be back and won't ever recommend. Go to Tioga or even Logan's before you consider this place because it's just THAT bad. read more

After a terrible time searching for a decent non-chain location to eat in Fresno, we returned to Madera where my brother had suggested this restaurant. We are sooooo glad that we did. I can't tell you how great this place is. But I will try. First, the staff was very friendly and always moving, always mindful of how they could take care of their customers. Tamara and Lexi were the best! Our server was Lexi and from the moment we came in, she had us covered. She took our drink orders right away. And then kept an eye on our glasses. We were never left waiting for refills, that's how fast she would catch our orders. Second, the beers on tap were amazing! They had about 12 or 14 (I'm not sure how many exactly) beers on tap with around 6 to 8 rotating ones. I had a delicious Pear ale that was crisp, light, and ice cold. My husband had an IPA that was equally as good. We didn't order any appetizers but we did order from their pizza menu. Yum!! The pizza is wood-fired and comes piping hot right to your table. I ordered a regular pepperoni and my husband ordered the Philly Cheesesteak Pizza. So good and perfect with the beer! The only thing that could have been better with the pizza was fresh mushrooms instead of the canned stuff that they used. But either way, it was good to eat. Third, the manager came out about 2/3 of the way through our meal and noticed that the clean glasses were getting low. So he started washing the dishes! Now that, to me, is incredible leadership. He supported his wait staff and at the same time was able to chat with the people sitting at the bar (us and about 5 or 6 others). He offered my husband a taster of a dark ale that was coffee flavored that went perfectly with the dessert we ordered; cinnamon sugar knots. They were yummy and went very well with the ale, which we ended up ordering and sharing. All in all, the entire experience was positive; from food to drink to excellent service on a very busy Saturday night! We will definitely return to this place and we will most definitely bring friends with us. read more

Poor customer service our server Tamra or something like that had an attitude never smiled didn't even get everyone's order we had to ask another server in order to get the rest of our drinks. First time there, beer selection was good, but come on $7.00 for a hotdog cut in half and 4 pieces of pretzels for about the same price, I will eat before I go and drink beer there, just saying, my first impression on the beer selection was all good, don't mind the slightly higher prices on the beer, keeps the hood rats out, here's the thing, I would rather go buy Nathan's hotdogs at pak n save and make them at home before I pay 7$ for mini hotdogs, is what they call them. But I will go back, cause it is a nice spot, just to drink beer and sneak in a bag of peanuts. If they listened to my advice, I would tell them to go for quantity and not quality, keeping it real, its hotdogs, pretzels and pizza, you can't jack those up. Love the selection of beers. I finally don't have to go to Fresno to get craft beers. The bartender was friendly and told me they are going to have a rotating beer selection. That's really cool. I can't wait. The pizza was also delicious. I liked all the wine bottles hanging on the ceiling.
