    The works personal pizza
    D R.

Wile table service was friendly (and definitely friendlier than in the past) beers on the deck were served almost warm and food from Santucci's was mediocre at best. Three of us all ordered a personal pizza and while not horrible they didn't leave us with the feeling that we ever had to go back again. The outside deck is great on a nice weather day but the place needs an overhaul. Food prices are WAY high for the quality ($8 for an order of fries???? Add one to burgers - lettuce tomato onion- are 50 cents each??? Come on). So many better places around. Will not be returning.

Outdoor patio is fantastic, they have all types of picking food. They even smoke meats! The smoked wings are great. Greta beer and whiskey selection. The service is always good too.

The owner of this place lacks vision and has no sanitary sense whatsoever. The place literally stinks when you walk in. Same with the outdoor bar. The whole place needs to be power washed and scrubbed down. Do over...

Full video of our visit is on my YouTube channel, Philadelphia Cheesesteak Adventure. Drinks and cheesesteaks with Amigo Dan. I had a lot of Tequila on this day. We got the cheesesteak quesadilla. It was a beautiful day so we sat at the outside the bar. The bartender was wonderful. The cheesesteak quesadilla was flavorful. Something was salty and I couldn't love it.

Arrived early evening, excited to enjoy a great summer night outside and found a practically empty deck. We were a seated- but no server ever approached the table. Odd because there were servers chatting at the bar and the 'manager' was cleaning a table...but no one approached us. Assuming it was just a quick misstep, I went to the bar and ordered our 6 cocktails. Server arrived 15- 20 minutes after we were seated, took orders, and disappeared again. Came back to tell us they were out of some food. It happens. We reordered. Again, she disappeared. I went BACK to the bar- 6 more drinks - Aidan, the bartender, was great and apologetic. Food arrived. It was awful. Inedible. Pic attached is the $17 burger, served raw, no toppings, questionable fries. I would have told the server had she come back. The 'manager' was going to come talk to the table, but he never arrived. What manager sends in the server to do his dirty work. We all felt bad for her. Paid the bill - after the apologetic server took 20% off (again not a table visit from the manager) but we left hungry. I didn't want money off, we wanted dinner. There are so many spectacular spots in the area. Go to any of them! I'm a forgiving guy in the hospitality business, support these servers making a living, went in with the best intentions- but warning: stay away.

We came on a Friday afternoon, around 4:30-5pm. I tried the Street Corn Dip, Mild Buffalo Wings and Taproom Burger. All of the food I tried was just okay. The tortilla chips that came with the Street Corn Dip were a bit too salty. The Taproom Burger tasted alright, it was more cooked than I ordered (medium rare) and the fries were the best part. Our server let us know that the chipotle aioli that came with the Taproom Burger, they were out of it so I asked for mayo as a substitute. When the food came, everyone who got a burger at our table all got the chipotle aioli including myself. They burned one of the burgers too. I also got the Arnold Palmer which was a bit lacking. The service was great, friendly. They have outside seating and they have their own parking lot. 2/5.

Met some old friends on a Sunday afternoon at The Taproom. Although I live near by, I have never been here before. We sat outside on the deck as it was a really pleasant afternoon with low humidity. The deck itself is nice with lots of shade. We had $4.00 house IPA's which were also pretty good. On a Sunday afternoon there were plenty of tables available outside. The food choices are pretty typical pub fare in the PJ's style. The menu was fairly large with some daily specials. I had the chicken Cobb salad and it was just OK but fine. Service was good all afternoon. The deck is a nice place to hang out. 3.5 yelp stars for the Taproom & Grill.

This is the meat & cheese board!

I really want to like the The Tap Room; it's close and I like the outdoor seating. But DO NOT go there for the food. Tonight I originally ordered the hummus platter, but they were out of that - probably because people order bc it's hard to screw up. So I went with the meat & cheese board, which you would think would be hard to screw up, but whoever put this board together should hang their head in shame - and be fired! I was expecting some salami, prosciutto and maybe a little pepperoni but instead I got a huge helping of pepperoni-and no other meats!!!! The cheese selection was okay, but the jams they said were homemade looked like they were poured from a can! And who puts blueberries on a meat & cheese board? Why not grapes or strawberries? My husband's Mac & cheese and onion rings were okay. The live music is a plus but tonight's musicians' voices were ho-hum.

Our waitress was very friendly and ended up leaving a pitcher of water once she saw we were parched. The salad bar wasn't huge, but there were some cold dishes along with salad fixings, which is part of the vintage charm. The bread (not complementary) was also a huge round loaf great for sharing. The decor's medieval vibe is very charming and it's nice looking around the room. The kitchen is open to the dining room with big brick ovens. I had the prime rib which was big and juicy (the baked potato was fine but the Yorkshire puff was bland and barely editable soaked in juice - may just be I don't like this food). The steak came with a giant onion ring which was delightful, and it was cooked perfectly tender. This place thrives in your meat and potato staples, so not a lot of side options except what's at the salad bar. For dessert, we had to try the peach melba delight, which was a giant goblet of vanilla ice cream, peaches in juice, whipped cream, and a cherry on top. Deceptively simple but extremely tasty and great to share There's a large bar area and the bathrooms are nice. This place is great for larger groups that include older people. The food is good and the atmosphere did feel like it was from another time, but we had a good time, and it's nice to see a place like this still around.

The selection is massive, and I somehow ended up with a Blueberry Cobbler beer. Yes, blueberry cobbler. In a beer. It sounds like something invented at 2 a.m. after several other beers, but damn if it wasn't fantastic. Then came the fish and chips. I spent a semester in London when I was in college, so I've eaten my share of fish and chips. Some great. Some served by angry British people who clearly wanted me to go back to America. The Pour House version was top-notch. Crispy batter. Great fish. Not greasy. The kind of meal where you stop talking for a few minutes because you're busy eating. The place itself has that comfortable neighborhood bar feel. Nothing complicated. Good beer. Good food. A place you can walk into and settle in for a while. The Pour House is officially going into our normal rotation. And with the number of beers on tap, I figure I have a lot of research left to do.

On top of the Guinness, they have an excellent liquor and beer selection. One thing to note is they have a special seasoning, the KTFO. Parking was a challenge on a Friday night as every space was full and turning around in the back lot involves making a k turn around the other vehicles who are also looking for a spot. We ended up parking down the street and walking over. We were seated immediately, as the bar has ample seating, both high tops and regular tables. My bff wasn't in the mood for a cocktail so we opted for Arnold palmers. Now, I am a HUGE avocado fan and I had heard about their infamous avocado fries so I was super excited about trying them. That may or may not have been the main reason for my visit. The avocado fries are fresh large slices of avocado breaded in panko and fried with a sweet and tangy spicy mayo sauce. I loved them but my bff wasn't as excited. He informed me he isn't a huge fresh avocado fan, so this one is for the avocado lovers. We also opted for the chicken parm rollers which is described as "Chicken mixed with ricotta cheese, herbs and spices rolled in panko breadcrumbs served with house made marinara and shaved parmesan" - they are chicken meatballs. We expected something else and now that we've had them and I re-read the description I'm not sure what we had in mind but it wasn't this. They were just okay. I think if they were placed on a plate with seasoned whipped ricotta and drizzled with pesto it could boost the flavor experience. For our entrees my bff got the chicken strips with the sweet and sassy sauce and I opted for the KO burger. My KO burger was delicious. The seeded brioche bun was buttery and fresh and the burger itself was flavorful. The fries were also fantastic. Fresh cut and sprinkled with a sweet seasoning, I didn't even feel the need to add ketchup or a side of aioli or anything. They were perfect. I didn't try my bffs chicken tenders but the sweet and sassy sauce tasted just like buffalo sauce. Pretty sure it was the wrong sauce but he didn't say anything to our server so that's on us. If you are looking for a bar to hang out and watch sports, get a drink, and have a great burger, I'd recommend this place - but maybe uber there.

No idea if this is the norm, but the service staff are always nearby and seem to be very attentive even when it's busy. As for the food, it's solid pub fare. Lots of sandwiches and comfort dishes. The salads are good, and the sandwiches (chicken parm and shrimp po' boy sliders) I've tried have been good enough that I wouldn't hesitate to get them again. The serving sizes were larger than we expected, so definitely come hungry or order something that'll be good as leftovers. If there's one picky thing to consider, it's that they under salt their fries. I usually don't like too much salt, but they're noticeably lacking. The fries are good, though.
