An absolute go to! Beautiful dimly lit dark wood and French bistro curtain decor. PROFESSIONAL servers and bartenders. Creative seasonal menus excellently prepared. We particularly enjoyed the roasted beet and labdneh appetizer. And my bone-in Pork Chop with roasted poblano crema, butternut mole, salsa macha brussels and pickled red onion was unbelievable. Don't miss this place on your next visit to Northeast Oklahoma!

The Tavern is my kind of place: dark, moody, elevated, and with amazing service. I had the pleasure of visiting here for a late night meal on my most recent trip to Tulsa, and enjoyed a lovely, extra-dirty vodka martini while awaiting a dish of what was possibly the best mac & cheese I've ever tried. I like to sit at the bar when I'm traveling solo, and the vibe was perfect. Add in a friendly bartender, super fresh house salad, and decent prices and it was the perfect end to my last evening in town. Highly recommend adding this to your Tulsa bucket list!

Made a visit to The Tavern during graduation weekend! We made a reservation for a party of 9, our table was ready when we arrived, and the hostess was very welcoming. Our waitress greeted us and offered drinks while we waited for the remainder of our guests. The stars of this dinner were the tikka masala hummus and shrimp dip appetizers! The hummus was seasoned with curry and other spices *chefs kiss! You know it's good when 2 guests said they don't like hummus, tried it, and we're fighting for the last spoonful! The shrimp dip is served hot w/ toast bites and all I can say is we should've ordered 2 servings of both appetizers. For entrees most of us ordered the tavern burger, steak, and fish of the day. The only little concern was the entrees came out lukewarm and my hamburger bun was cold; not a deterrent to return again. They do change their menu each season so if you really enjoy a menu item make sure to order more to bring home and enjoy!

Great birthday dinner with The Breakfast Club! I had the Tavern burger (tip: get additional mushroom sauce for your fries!). He had the fish and chips which he said was the best in Tulsa. He ranks 1) The Taven, 2) Bishop Quigley and 3) Kilkenny's for Fish and Chips but you can't go wrong with any of the three. Great gathering place with a robust happy hour crowd and always reliable great service.

We sat at the bar for an early dinner on First Friday. Service was amazing (as always). I do wish they had a pitcher option for those Bengali Gimlets. Oh, my! Confession: I have never had the Tavern burger. Literally every time we're here I vow to order it and then get a kale salad or pasta. I finally did it and it was great. I think the frites have changed a bit but are still good. They have switched over to the spring menu so some things have changed. This place is always a great and consistent option in the Arts District!

The Tikka Hummus and that pita... I'll dream about it forever. It was so good!! Everything we got was delicious aside from the fries. They were just okay. But the gravy was amazing with the Fried Chicken. Overall, great option for food.

I came to this lovely local haunt late on a Saturday night because I know their kitchen stays open until 1 am (I was here at 10pm, but it's good to know your options). The bartenders were both attentive. I ordered the Caribbean moon which was lovely and packed a bit of a punch (fair warning ) and the late night half price burger.

One of my favorite and most consistent spots in Tulsa Open late! Checkout their 1/2 off burger special after 9 pm I like to sub the fries for Brussels sprouts

The staff here were cool. Our waitress was a doll but the food wasn't great and we are visiting so we wanted to love it based on Yelp reviews. The kale Caesar wasn't a kale salad, not sure what greens were used, but it definitely wasn't any kale greens I know, I'm from the west coast. The dressing was so overpowering, I couldn't even eat it all. Too much salad dressing! Mac N Cheese was too spicy for our taste . Great portion and if you are cool with spicy stuff you will enjoy it. It's a great place, classy for sure but I will try it again and order different things.

First time at the tavern for lunch. The food was just okay! I had the chicken fried steak and split the Mac and cheese. The presentation of the chicken fried steak was great but the overall taste was a little underwhelming, the meat was a little tough. But the mac and cheese was pretty good, a bit spicy but overall would definitely have the Mac and cheese again.

So nice I went twice...in one week. First up was brunch with my mom, which was excellent. Our server was so fun and super attentive. We shared the Bacon Popcorn (because duh). She got the Grilled Cheese and Tomato Bisque, which she loved. I'm a bit of an Avocado Toast connoisseur, so I could resist. Theirs was delicious, and it was the perfect portion size. Next up was a pre-dinner drink and snack with my husband. The bartender recommended the Tikka Masala Hummus, and it was honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten. So many flavors that work perfectly together. For cocktails, I got the Fall Forward, which was like a much better version of a margarita. And my husband got the Bacon-Infused Old Fashioned, which was killer! We've been before, and we'll be back!

It was time for a late lunch and the tavern seemed like a good option. Our server gave us good suggestions. I had the fish and chips which was a large piece of fish, very crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. The dining room is well kept and comfortable. This is a good choice any time of day.

Only visible staff was the bartender (owner?). She was a terrific waitress. Love those $4 martinis. Hubby ordered his fav fish & chips, I ordered the "Black & Blue" flatbread. I would have sent back his whole plate. Instead of toasty brown everything was burnt. The black & blue: some great flavor from the cheese, tomatoes, pickled red onion, nonmemorable horseradish sauce, pretty presentation. My opinion, leave off what little steak there is. Adds nothing to the flavor, only some tough chew bites. The crust: I know there's argument here. I'm usually for good char on a pizza (I've had pizza all around Italy). But this was burnt and smelled burnt. Disappointed? Way. We'd wanted to get there for some time. I'm still intrigued by some of their menu items. I'm a keto dieter, and I will say that there are several tasty options to choose from. I will often get a burger with no bun, which is what I was craving today. This one went beyond my expectations! It was a hand-formed 8oz patty, and the chef was able to make it a perfect medium rare. It was delectably juicy, seasoned just right, and the cheese, peppers, onions and tomatoes topped it off perfectly. My salad had nice big slices of Parmesan cheese on top, and the lettuce was fresh and crisp, the dressing just right. Removing croutons is never a problem, but I appreciated that they happily left them off when they prepared the salad. If you're looking for keto options, you'll find many good choices here!

Our server came to our table shortly after and recommended an appetizer so we tried it. I want to firstly say that it took a very long time for the appetizer just to come out. We got the white bean dip that she raved about and it wasn't very good, definitely didn't live up to the hype. The sourdough bread it was served with was delicious though. We ordered our entrees with our appetizer and they took even longer to come out. My husband got the BUCATINI pasta and it was very mediocre (the noodles were made perfect) but the sauce was very bland and needed work. I got the TAGLIOLINI pasta and added grilled chicken. The pasta itself was cooked perfect but the sauce again bland and was even watery. The chicken was overcooked and dry which was disappointing considering it costs an arm and a leg for a small cut of chicken. Our server was also terrible. She checked on us 2 separate times throughout the entire experience and we spent a good hour and half there, she was VERY hard to locate and it was rather annoying to have to search for her when we needed something. We didn't expect to be this disappointed for a meal that we spent $64 alone without the tip. Needless to say we will not be going back. I don't recommend this place.
