    Cuban Sandwich and the Lola
    Anna L.

I really enjoyed this place! We went on a Wednesday night so it wasn't super busy and parking was easy. Upon walking in, you were told to wait to be seated, and our server showed us to our table. The menu was a good size with the drink menu being pretty good as well. I especially enjoyed the different section for fancy cool martinis. I got the Lola martini to start and it was very good. I got the Cuban sandwich while the rest of my party got the chicken tenders. Both of these items were very, very good. The food definitely has a comfort food vibe, but our service was absolutely amazing. Our server was super nice, attentive, and respectful making him the true star of the show. I enjoyed this restaurant and the reason why I will be back is because of the good food and the excellent service!

Large portion of pot roast with mashed potatoes and carrots.

We were looking for someplace for a quick lunch after visiting the Bob Dylan Center, and we stumbled upon this place. Heather was our server, and she was great. Everyone we encountered seemed genuinely glad to be there. Our party of 3 got a plain cheeseburger, the pimento cheeseburger w jalapeño bacon, and the pot roast. We each ordered an ice tea or soft drink, and our bill was $50 before tip. For the quantity and quality of food, this was more than fair. I didn't get a picture of my pimento cheeseburger, but it was incredible. The bacon was crispy and had heat but not to an uncomfortable degree. The pimento cheese had a great balance of freshness and tang. The burger was juicy and the bun was fresh and the perfect size for the burger. The fries were natural style and crispy on the outside but tender on the inside. My kid got the pot roast and she ate every bite so I can't attest to it personally. But she's very picky, so I'll take her word for it. It came with mashed potatoes and gravy and carrots in separate ramekins alongside the pot roast with gravy. If you check out this place, I don't you'll be disappointed. (We also saw some tables ordering the catfish. The portions were enormous and it looked so good; I would consider trying that next time.)

Comfort food in Tulsa. Cool spot, great location and fantastic drink prices. Food was pretty good, got the Cuban sandwich and it was good but won't get it again. I've had salads in the past and will stick with those go forward. Bloody Mary was awesome and we had a great time celebrating my sisters birthday. This is her fav spot and she always goes for the chicken fried steak.

Really enjoyed our dinner here, love the décor. The staff were super welcoming and friendly, very efficient. We both liked our meals. I got The bacon, lettuce, and tomatoes sandwich, but also had pimento cheese. And the tomato was fried green tomatoes and jalapeño bacon. On a French bread period It was very good but it was huge so I ended up not eating a lot of the bread. My side item was fried okra. And it was very good period I would recommend this place I would return.

Baseball on three TVs ! The drinks are well made and the food is almost always perfect. I've never had a bad meal here.

Been a long time since I've reviewed the Chowhouse. Had a family dinner this evening and the service was great as always. Everyone enjoyed the pickle chips and their entrée. The Turkey Cuban is still my go to sandwich. Seems like they have changed the turkey to something that resembles deli meat instead of sliced roast turkey. Dad had mom's meatloaf minus the blue cheese because well...it's blue cheese My wife had the Beyond Burger and wasn't impressed at all. It was very dry and flavorless. She makes them at home and the flavor is so much better. The main issue we experienced this evening was the ratios were way off with the bread pudding. Far too much liquid to bread which made it soggy and gummy. The "whiskey sauce" was also executed poorly this time and tasted more like a donut glaze with zero whiskey. Will definitely be back as we have been eating here since they opened. But would love for them to focus more on food quality and preparation.

We are visiting from Houston and our server Joshua/Josh/Joshie was amazing. He was able to recommend items on the menu and even told us about the amazing cucumber wasabi ranch. It was 10/10 paired with the fried pickles. My husband even dipped his turkey club sandwich in it and said it was good. The restaurant had a nice feel to it. We definitely don't have anything like this back in Houston.

We stumbled upon this place as we were looking for a place to eat that's not fancy. We stayed at Fairhill Marriott and this restaurant is just around the corner. It has some beer and cocktails. The cuisine served here is Southern flair. I wasn't very hungry so I got a cup of soup. It's hearty and creamy but tasted like spaghetti sauce. Not my liking. My husband had PBT sandwich: smoked Gouda pimiento cheese, bacon, and fried green tomato. The bread was huge. He asked for fried okra but was given French fries instead. The waiter realized the mistake and got the fried okra as complimentary. The okra was served in bite size breaded with cornmeal. The breading stayed intact. Nice appetizer. My father in law had salmon drizzled with balsamic vinegar and he likes it

Absolutely! Absolutely delicious! Absolutely quaint! Absolutely well priced! Cute bathrooms, cute lil fire place, and cute lil waitress...I'm sorry I can't remember her name but oh so kind and knowledgeable about the menu and establishment. The food was delicious and the price was very reasonable. Close to major attractions like the center of the universe and Philbrook Museum . Would absolutely recommend!

Tried this place for the first time tonight. My husband hand their Cuban sandwich with onion rings, I had the Turkey Cuban with fries...and fried pickles an an app. We loved it all!!! Sooooo good. Our server Josh was also super attentive, a great experience in a trendy and comfortable atmosphere!

Place is a bit "hippy" but was really clean inside and overall just really nice with a bit of eclectic decorations. All of our food was hot and well prepared and tasted good. Staff couldn't have been any nicer or quicker to help. Prices were fair for our economy as well. Only thing I would have done different would have been to get chicken fried chicken as I think their batter/breeding would have made for some even more tasty chicken!

Had one of the best Chicken Fried Steaks, I had had in years at Caz's Chowhouse. The crust was wonderfully crunchy and the steak was tender and delicious! I did start with a healthy small salad which was very nice, but this dinner was all about the excellent CFS! Waitress was very good and gave just the right amount of attention during my meal! I will be returning in July!

Before moving to Tulsa from California, I came to visit with my mom, to check out the town before my big move. Long story, short, she and I found The Chowhouse and ate there twice during our visit. I loved it then and I love it even more now. Now, a year later, as a Tulsa resident, The Chowhouse is my ultimate comfort. The team is amazing, so down to earth, genuinely kind, and efficient in what they do. Josh & Julie are usually the associates I engage with and I adore them both. I haven't made many friends here yet, so they're the closest thing I have to an acquaintance, lol. They always make me feel so welcome! Josh & Julie are great servers with even better customer service. The food is delicious. It's all warm, fresh, comfort food. The Mac & Cheese, the Chicken & Waffles & The Southwest Burger are the best things on the menu! You gotta try it. A great treasure in downtown Tulsa.

My family and I came here from out of town. Trying to find a parking spot was a bit hectic on a Saturday afternoon. We came in and was told it would be about a 20 minute wait. We sent the QR link to the other 1/2 of our family and waited. We had to wait a bit longer for them to move tables together. The waitress Amy seemed nice and attentive. Our ordered came and while we were eating, Amy came up and asked us questions about where we are from. She asked a few more questions about our origins that made my niece aggravated since she was trying to eat in peace with an unmasked stranger over her. Plus when you are eating food and you teach your family not to talk to strangers that is the last thing you want to do when you are hungry and feel like your in a nail parlor. The decor is nice, bathrooms were clean, but this place isn't fast to get you seated or fed. Everyone at the table ordered something fried and all said the food needed more seasoning and way less batter on everything. We all ended up picking it off the meat to finish our food. Mac-n-cheese was not bad, but the green beans did not mention they had pork on the menu. My husband can't have pork and asked me "does this look like pork" when the was looking at his food. I ate some, and said it could be. Asked the waitress and she said yes, but the menu only says green beans. Muslim and Kosher conscious people be careful. Almost $90 in for lunch and asked do they have military discount and she said no. Not a problem, but just FYI to you all. Try it if you wish, but put some seasoning in your purse and don't order anything fried... just my recommendation.

For my starter I ordered "Our Nice Little Salad" this beauty was crisp, fresh, and had tomatoes that popped in your mouth and bursted with flavor. The in-house croutons had that perfect buttery crunch, spiced pecans added a unique boldness and the homemade ranch was thick and creamy. I will say I had to ask three times for ranch. I just kept waiting. For our main courses we had the bone-in pork chop. Thick, juicy, and properly rested paired with red mashed potatoes.... Which were very good. The seasonal corn - was gone so quick! It was just so delicious. Ate that right up!! The shrimp scampi leaned heavily into garlic and butter in the best possible way. Shrimp were big, tender and juicy. Unfortunately my rotisserie chicken.... was very dry. I kept choking because of that. I was unable to eat it, that was disappointing. As far as atmosphere... very warm lighting, intimate feels, candle lit, steady energy, attentive staff. The dining room hums with laughter and happy customers... but without overtaking the conversation at our table. The volume was comfortable considering it was a full house.

Service was spot on throughout the entire night. We started with the deviled eggs, half plain and half Chef's Choice. The Chef's Choice were the best, drizzled with chili crisp (or pickled Szechuan peppercorns) and topped with a tiny gherkin and fresh dill. The soup of the day was a cabbage and radish soup. It was interesting and very homey but I wish I had ordered the salad. I had the Novarro Farm sweet Potato Gnocchi (kale and pecan pesto, Birch Bottom Farm Georgia candy roaster, fresh chevre). I was a little hesitant about the kale pesto but should NOT have been. This dish was delicious--great garlic flavor. Would order again. The burger looked amazing and while The Hubs said it was good, he also said it needed some more spice. They had a couple of rotating beers from Heirloom--a Mexican Lager and an Italian Pilsner. I had the Water Lily cocktail, their take on an Aviation. Order it just because it's beautiful (and refreshing). The photo does not depict the deep color of it. I asked what other gin based cocktails they had on their menu. They didn't but the server/bartender offered to make me a Bee's Knees for the second round. It was delicious! The atmosphere here is casual but the food is elevated. I kept thinking this is what a French bistro would be like inside. I want to come back and shop the market.
