It took about 10 minutes despite there being minimal traffic in the restaurant. This is my first time visiting here so not sure what their bases are, I expected it to be more tea forward versus syrupy and sugary. I couldn't finish the whole thing because it was way too sweet. Roomy and nice upon walk-in; it is in a corner within a shopping plaza, which makes it a nice location. Get a drink, shop around, grab a bite and shop some more. Been to lots of Teahouse locations in the Houston area. Ordered my favorite #1 Teahouse Cream Tea as usual (half mini boba and half regular boba, 50% sweet, less ice), and decided to try the Squid Balls. This one is unique for downsizing their boba and richness of their famous cream tea. On the screen above the cashier, the ad for the Squid Balls is double the amount than what they actually give the customers. Literally there were eight small pieces and that's it. If this was my first time to Teahouse, then I would say the Cream Tea is pretty good, but since I have been having this same drink for decades, it is obvious this location's is a bit watered down. It lacks its usual richness. Nope, not returning to this location. Giving it 3 stars only because of the Teahouse brand and the cashier was quick. We love this place because we are in the top pictures at this place! We really appreciate that! Some of the servers are nice and some of them are a little hostile. It seems very different to a lot of the other Teahouse locations. Unfortunately the most important element is the drinks and the other one was really really watered down. We've had that problem at a lot of other locations also, but never in Rice Village or Memorial or Chinatown. Anyway, we will give them another try next time we're back down here and see if it's any different. If not then I might have to lower the star rating. If it's excellent then they'll go up to 5. Terrible service. I placed an online order for pickup. I arrive and wait in the pick up line. I get to the pick up window and all of the employees ignore me for 10 minutes. As a socially shy and introverted person, this is my worst nightmare. I was holding back tears. Finally I get the courage to walk around the counter to the cashier and briefly skip the line to ask her about my order. Turns out, they had my cups waiting on the side with the boba in it but without the drinks having been made. She said she would make them soon. I am beyond upset. At this point it has been 30 minutes since I was supposed to pick up my order. It is one thing to not have an online order completed by the time I was promised. I've been coming here everyday for 6 days now for my pre-work beverage. It's so bad that my cowers wanted it so I come to order at least 2 to 7 drinks. Mind you it's only been a week since we started our addiction to this place. The service is great and the location is small but they are never really that busy. Went in to order 3 cream teas and 1 blended tea, waited about 10 minutes in line. As I order, I notice the blended tea comes up for $6.00 before the added tapioca...all of the menus (digital and print) quote $5.25...cashier and manager tell me that corporate has updated the price and they won't/can't change it at the register. I then canceled the sale, asked for the corporate number and left. Ironic part, the manager gave me an empty cup since the corporate hotline number is under the logo. (I called the number but it's Saturday and no one answered). I've never been asked to pay a new price for something that was incorrectly listed...not at a hardware store, a restaurant or boutique. That's just bad business. Teahouse has now lost my business - but there are plenty of other tea house type establishments that can honor their menu so I'll be enjoying cream blends soon enough I'm sure. read more

I needed a quiet place to study and was not in the mood for coffee... This place was great and has since become my favorite spot near the medical center. I recommend the strawberry cream blend with boba and the spicy popcorn chicken & make sure you get the sauce! There is also an outlet near each table if you need to get some work done. read more

I may not, have had a "cup of tea", but I had a long, tall cup, of a blended refreshing drink. Prior to ordering there, I had passed by saying, "I'll try that next time and instead of coffee, I'll get a blend or smoothie." One day, I got a menu just to read over selections at home. This is one of their newest locations. I didn't realize Teahouse was expanding so fast and so far and wide. This is probably the closest location to me. This strip center is a bit hard to get to from the freeway, because it is literally at 610 and 45, so you have to exit early and turn in. Once there, there is a huge parking lot for you to park. They are new so they are still working out the kinks as far as orders and drink making process. I noticed that the amount varied from my cup from my wife's cup. Mine was almost filled to the top while hers was still missing about 1/4 an inch. The flavor of the bubble teas and the tapioca was about the same as their other locations. They also share the same rewards system which is good. read more

They never answer their phone-which is unfortunate because I would rather avoid dealing with the staff (mostly) as much as possible. The wait time is usually ridiculous too. This is easily the most poorly run Teahouse franchise I've ever frequented but it is also the closest one so I always find myself going back, begrudgingly. Teahouse has honestly downgraded so much. They raised their prices but not their quality. I've gone twice now and leave disappointed every single time. First the menu shows their older prices, but at the register you're charged a higher price. They had none of the flavors I wanted. I finally settled for one they had and later get called over to tell me they actually don't have it. I chose another flavor and then realized it was cheaper than what I had paid for. If I didn't tell them anything, they wouldn't have cared and pocketed extra money. It got even worse when I got drinks and they were melted and tasted horribly. Ice blend was more like ice WATER blend. Tapioca is different colors?? The taste was horrendous, overly tangy artificial tasting crap. The quality is SO BAD even the plastic lid covers tear apart on their own! In the end, I was so annoyed I didn't even wanna bother with getting an exchange of drinks.
