Great place to study or hang out with friends. They have about four booths on the right side of the store and there's usually people there studying with their laptops. They also have a large table in the middle with smaller round tables more so for hanging out or waiting for your drinks. We were immediately greeted upon entering and accommodated to immediately. I have to say, though, the girl that got our order was super soft spoken and beyond the noise of the machines, it was difficult to understand what she was saying. There's only one size and it's A LOT--which is a huge plus. But the drinks themselves are just okay and the boba is soft and more on the squishy rather than chewy side. It's been a blessing for Teahouse to have open in this location. Craving that milk tea and always having to drive to Bellaire was a pain. It's a good place to study during the day and hang out at night. My family always gets together here at least every Friday night or weekend. Green Thai milk tea: The taste of this drink is hard to describe. It has a nice balance between green tea and Thai tea. Almost like you're drinking a green milk. Kind of crazy, but it's a good drink to try. Taro coconut w/strawberry hearts: At other places the taro taste would always overpower the coconut, but there's a nice balance here. Their drinks are great! I usually get their peach black tea, with tapioca. It's a bit sweet on some days, and on other days it's not. I switch between green and black tea depending on the day and how I'm feeling. Their space is big for a lot of people to come and study. Sometimes a lot of kids from the high schools near by come here to study and it gets a bit crowded. It just depends on the time you are here. Usually I'm here when there's no one to get some work done and some studying going. They also have games for you to play if you want to come and hang out with friends. I like the milk teas here, but the smoothies here are ok. The smoothie tends to lose flavor as I progressively drink it probably because of the ice blended into it. Honestly, I was extremely excited when I found out Teahouse opened up here, since I love their boba drinks oh-so-much! Visiting at their initial opening and a few other occasions with friends, I've found it just doesn't have that Teahouse boba flavor. It actually tastes like a completely different boba shop made their drinks. Take note that I've visited various locations, with their Westheimer location being my favorite since the renovation, and they all have the same taste no matter where I get my strawberry green tea EXCEPT this 1960 location. I've asked several friends who are Teahouse fanatics and they feel the same. The boba doesn't seem as sweet, and the tea isn't flavored as well as other locations. The drinks aren't bad, they're just a let down from my expectations from this chain. If you come here and you've visited other locations, DO NOT expect the same drinks. Probably wouldn't recommend this place, but will come back later in a few months in hopes that this is just a fluke a lot of new businesses have. Not a bad location since it's close to my house.. I would normally go to the one in Bellaire off of Corporate but this one is closer. Aside from location, we ordered the Milk Tea and Avocado Smoothie with tapioca and egg pudding. I don't know if they check the avocados before blending them up but my drink had small chunks of the avocado skin and the rooting that usually grow within the avocado. I'm not sure if it was an old one that got tossed in with the rest of them or what but I had to throw my drink away because it was literally not drinkable. Every sip I had was full of a grainy like texture and you can see the pieces floating in the drink itself. I usually go to the Teahouse in Cypress, but this one is pretty good too. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the cashier answered any questions I had and offered suggestions for my drink. It's a good place to hang out with friends or study. It's a friendly and inviting environment. They have board games that you can use, but what's different from other boba places is that you have to exchange one of your things to borrow a game, but there's nothing bad about that. I come here every now and again. The drinks are not as great as the location in bellaire, but it will have to do when I'm craving for milk tea or tapioca in the area. I've tried the FRESH GRAPEFRUIT GREEN TEA, which has a nice fruity flavor, but it's more on the bitter side, which is slightly balanced with the green tea. I've tried a few of these drinks at other places, but I have to say that the grapefruit flavor is the most bitter I've had compared to other places. It's not bad, but if you don't like the bitter taste of grapefruit than I wouldn't recommend this drink. I also tried the PEACH OOLONG TEA, which is suppose to be more natural than the regular teas. It's not very sweet and I can taste some peach notes, but very subtly. Not my favorite because it was mostly just tea, but not really tea. It was between a sweetened tea and regular prepped tea. Overall, not my favorite tea spot and now that other tapioca places are opening up, I'll be venturing out a bit more instead of coming here. read more

I got the #1 Teahouse Cream Tea w/ tapioca, and the friends got Coconut Cream Tea w/tapioca, and the other got a strawberry banana cream smoothie with almond milk (she's vegan). One thing I noticed is they don't ask the size you want - the portions we got were huge! Hard to finish. All and all we liked our respective drinks. I would come back and explore the rest of their menu - it's huge and super expansive. Their coffee menu looked pretty tasty too. Get it with no sugar because the syrup is already sweet enough. - The chicken is amazing. It's extra crispy and packed with flavor. The only problem I have is that the portions should be bigger! Sanitation is definitely lacking, the cashiers are not good at customer service, and the place is often too loud, too crowded, and full of obnoxious kids.
