How surprising to find this place has lower rating to another bubble tea called Kung Fu Tea. One customer even saying she prefer Kung Fu Tea..I would have to say I disagree with her review and here is why I consider the TeaHouse one of the top places to get bubble tea (of course we all have different taste). First the tea themselves and menus. The Teahouse has a very big and offer variety of bubble teas, smoothies, and slush. One of my big favorite are the tea presses. They are brew fresh everyday and I just love the taste of black, green, and red tea (I'm a big time tea lover --the stronger the better for me). I normally have the lychee rose black tea-press and it's just a perfect balance --it's not too sweet and it's not too strong. I can taste the tea but I can also taste the lychee rose. It just refreshing especially on hot days. The cups are huge but you can easily split the sizes which is perfect to share with children or children can share with each other and not fight over who is getting more or less. The customer services I found personally to be much better than that of Kung Fu Tea. I have been here numerous of time and each time I found the people working there to be thoughtful and considerate (one girl gave me 40% off a drink because I wanted the smaller size vs the big size for my toddler). Also, no matter if they make the drink wrong or if I don't like the drink they will replace it no questions asked, no attitude, and no throwing a temper tantrum. The only two thing I found negative with the Teahouse is their cream base Tea is a lot richer and heavier than others I've been to. Also their bubble tea is more expensive however win the brand of tea they use I can see the reason for the pricing. But overall, I much prefer the Teahouse over Kung Fu Tea. I would definitely recommend coming in or taking out if you around the FM 1960s area. read more

Lots of different options for tea flavors! I'm a huge fan of ginger tea and they had one that doesn't have caffeine. Perfect before bed. During these hot summer days I definitely prefer more of the fruit based flavors. Lots of choices for add ins like tapioca, baby tapioca, and flavored agar based shapes. I love that they offer agar and tapioca instead of just gelatin. As a vegetarian I can't eat gelatin because it is made out of animal bones and hooves. As far as food goes it is all greasy and fried stuff. I do get the seasoned french fries from time to time. Lots of fried animal things, not a lot of vegetarian options. There is a points and rewards program, but I'm not sure what it does except collect my phone number and tell me my points for the order. The restaurant is kind of hidden. It is located in a tight corner of a shopping center next to a jeweler. The parking lot is big, but the spaces are painted really small so you will park really close to people and may have trouble getting in and out of some of the spaces. The place looks very nice inside and has a very nice ambience. When we walked in, we were greeted very nicely by a worker. I don't know about the other one, if it's just her face or not, but she did not seem happy for us to be in there, but I don't care about that. We ordered a milk tea and a cream green tea matcha. Their boba tastes good and sweet. The milk tea was pretty good, but the taste of the tea wasn't strong enough. The green tea matcha, doesn't even have a hint of the taste of the green tea in it and it just tasted like nothing. One of the best tapioca places I tried, wish they would open up one near Humble. I drive 30 minutes once a week to get my Jasmin milk tea and it is always refreshing and so delicious. The teenagers working there are nice and polite. Sometimes I'll order their squid balls which is spicy but good. The ambience is chill, more like a hangout for teenagers to study or kick back. Ok I finally had a free drink and I really wanted their peach smoothie because it's so good. However, this time it tasted different. I noticed a difference with the color, it was more of an orange color this time rather than a white yellow color. So I automatically knew that they put in more peach syrup than normal. Tasted it, it was gross and grainy. I did not like it at all. 30-40 mins after the drink started separating which is a clear sign of syrup being used in the drink. The way they made it before wouldn't separate at all even in the fridge. Very disappointing. Too many mistakes at this place. read more

I was worried and this place because I am (for the most part) on a Keto diet. It can be hard to find ketogenic option in cafés but I am pleasantly surprised with my options. The offer an avacado blend! Using one and a half avocados, water, cream and sugar. I asked them to replace the sugar with stevia. It was pretty tasty. Mind you this is by a Keto standard so a little different. My sister got the popcorn chicken! Those are a thing of beauty! A little spicy but that's what I like. Lately their milk teas have been consistently watered down though. it just lacks the creaminess and quality now. I sometimes bring back my drink for them to add more creamer. I went there recently and ordered my usual, popcorn chicken and a jasmine milk tea with egg pudding. I was quite disappointed in everything. First off, the price of popcorn chicken went from $4 to $5, which is fine. But now they give you a SMALLER portion and no basil. Also, they don't fry it long enough because the chicken is soggy and when I bit into it, some of the frying oil came out. I had requested for it to be cooked longer and make it crispier, but they don't listen apparently... My milk tea was good, but the egg pudding was mediocre! It came out all mashed and in broken pieces. It wasn't in big chunks like normally. Safe to say, I was very unhappy but it's the closest place to me sadly. read more

Great place for bubble tea! The staff is always so friendly and the atmosphere seems like a nice spot to chill with friends. They also provide a variety of board games. Now moving on to the star of the show, their drinks. They have a lot of options to choose from but i always go for the milk teas. They also have a variety of sinkers to choose from as well. Their rose milk tea is awesome, but mine was a bit too sweet so i had to put more milk in it when i got home. Ive been here a couple of times now and i notice that there are inconsistencies with the texture of their boba. Sometimes its too soft and other times its just right. Teahouse is another teahouse in my books. I had their boba teas and milk teas from another location in Houston and Austin. They are okay because I can say I had better. I'm glad they have opened a location on my side of town. I came in on their soft opening and they were giving out free drinks all day! We were also given a BOGO (buy one get one) free card. The tea was alright, it's the only place I know of where they leave the tea packets inside the cup. I guess you can say fresh brew? lol The sinkers are on point. Extremely obsessed with boba, so decided to give this place a try. Customer service could have been better. The lady was always looking down at the ground and never once smiled. The tea itself is alright. The syrups taste slightly more on the artificial side, with a strong essence of quality tea. The boba was also mediocre, have definitely tried better. I also asked for light ice, and i received the cup half full of ice(SO MUCH- waters it down so much. I didn't like that they charge when you ask for less ice, and they also charge when you mix flavors- I have never been to a boba shop that does this. I came across this place while exchanging something at James Avery. If you're looking for this spot, just follow the big James Avery tower. I had cotton mouth...bad and needed something to quench my thirst before I went in to speak with a representative. I asked the lady at the counter for a couple of suggestions. She did an excellent job at giving me a review of drinks and her favorite. I must admit, it was my first time burning one in a very long time, so I was more giggly than usual. I got the Coconut Creme tea. It was awesome! Creamy, not too sweet and it satisfies my thirst. Price was under $9 for two drinks. I call that fair. There was one other dude on his laptop in the corner, which somehow set the tone of the ambiance. The music was jamming!! Kinda retro, but I'm not too familiar with what's on the radio now. For all I know it could have been the new Maroon 5. I dunno if it was the ganj, but I could picture myself coming here to study myself. I left satisfied.
