We stopped into the Third Door after dinner for some cocktails on a Saturday evening around 9, and it had some cool vibes. I love a good speakeasy feel. The cocktails are fun and creative. The service was a bit slow as it seemed there was only one or 2 servers working. Which I guess is common these days with any place. The only downfall of the service was we waited for quite some time to be greeted while tables around us were getting another round. If people have drinks already you should probably grab the newcomers orders first. But other than that cool vibes, live music was great it was a nice acoustic vibe so you could still have a conversation. read more

While my bff was visiting from New York, we decided to go out for a night cap one beautiful summer evening and came across The Third Floor. I think we both had the Old School Love; the old fashioneds; if you have a preference for a particular bourbon you can suggest it to them. The drinks are sort of New York pricey. The Third Door has a nice quaint speakeasy vibe. And I love the trailer setup. We missed the live band that night but enjoyed the bar experience nonetheless. Seems like every time I decided to return, they're closed to the public for private receptions. The only drawback is that they serve drinks only--no food--so come with your belly full. Came in for one drink while they had a live band. No signage posted that there will be cover charged when you check out. We left after a single song and had to pay 6 dollars that supposedly went completely to the band. Wasn't worth the price of "cover" to only stay that long so kinda disappointed. I'd be less disappointed if there was signage that announced the charge before hand, definitely felt a little annoyed. The drink menu was good however! Only wish they also had bar foods or snacks (other than potato chips in a bag). Would probably go again if there wasn't a band. read more

A sort of speakeasy style entrance, with a patio overlooking a very interesting church across the street. The cocktails here are fantastic with a lot of different components to them but well blended refreshing and delicious. The service from Patrick was outstanding and we look forward to visiting again soon. For parties of maybe five or six I would highly recommend reserving the interesting Volkswagen van seating that's outside on the patio it seems like it would be fun. read more

I agree with most of the other reviews here about the retro vibe and craft cocktails. However no one made any mention of the food offered. IMHO the food is just an afterthought for someone who needs some bit of sustenance to go with the drinks. The charcuterie was the only one of the three "small plates" offered that held any interest for me. What a disappointment! A plastic bag with small slices of toasted bread and an obviously prepackaged plastic container of a few slices of meats and cheeses, about 8 almonds and little pat of jelly for $ 12?? The "small plate" was not even served on a plate. Any they serve "finger food" and don't bother to bring napkins or have them on the table? My advice is to go for the drinks and the atmosphere and go elsewhere if you a the least bit hungry. read more

This review is to redeem my dissapointment with my first time visit with a positive review. I found this bar on the internet with extremely positive reviews, but my dissapointment was trying to order my first drink. I am usually a light beer man,but was told they were totally out of light beer! I then tried an alternate mixed drink Ammeretto with pineapple juice. I was told they were out of pineapple juice! Those were basically my go to drinks, after the server noticed my extreme dissapointment, she got the manager over to calm me down. I must say that the manager .his name was Travis.He came over and listened to my complaint and proceeded to explain due to July 4th it was so busy they got wiped out of their normal beverages and were unable to replenish that week.He was quite knowledgeable concerning my drinking tastes and attempted to list various drinks other than the ones I liked to help me decide. Travis was quite skilled in de-escalating the situation and showed his customer service skills were on point. THe atmosphere was pleasant and the music acceptable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a drinking spot, but beware they serve no food , so eat before arrival. read more

This place is absolutely delightful and much needed on the Square. There are three settings, two indoors and one outdoors. The outside is nicely but not over the top decorated for Christmas with really cute Xmaa trees on each table. Their theme is Xmas Vacation and that comes through on the drinks, not so much on the decor. They also have a mini camper outsisw where one can sit in. Our super sweet server made us feel welcome and recommended the "Bend over and ill show ya" which was a gin, cranberry, lime, ginger, mae drink. It was on the tart side and scrumptious! I wouldve easily have had two. My hubby ordered the Dont Stay Up too Late Sparky. It waa comparable to an eggnog but so so so much better. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. What a hoidy toidy piece o crap this bar is! Not advertised as a speak easy, you will never find the entrance! Hint! Its behind the building, back by the dumpsters. A half hour later, once inside you will frown in the acknowledgent that you just wasted 30 minutes or more to enter a room of 1% ers giving you the look of distain and unapproval in a tiny, blir collar peeps need not apply. My wife and I were looking for a place to get some drinks and listen to live music. I had heard about The Third Door, but kept forgetting to visit. I'm mad at myself for waiting so long. This place is a gem, and I can honestly say there isn't much like it OTP. The drinks were amazing, affordable, and the service was incredible. There was a $5 cover to get in for the live music, but that money goes straight to the musician which I love. They even provide free chips if you want a snack! FYI - they do not serve food. I don't even know where to begin with our love of The Third Door! As many 2020 brides have experienced, we had to "pivot" and replan a whole wedding...in about 5 weeks. I was so thrilled when I contacted Lara to see if they were available and they were! Working with Lara & Ethan was seamless! They were so warm & kind and given all the stress I was feeling that went a loooong way with me! We utilized The Third Door for the reception only & it was stunning! We did minimal decorating because the venue itself has so much charm & character. The icing on the cake was being able to hold the wedding ceremony directly next door at The Brickyard. The reception was everything I could have wanted & more! Our guests cannot stop raving about our signature cocktails & the amazing staff! Every, single little detail was done to perfection! The Third Door is awesome! The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, the mixologist curate amazing craft cocktails, and the bands that perform are great (The Hearsay is my fave)! I actually like the drinks and vibes so much I chose The Third Door to get married at and it was the perfect venue for us. All of the team there is great! Drew and Ethan helped us curate our own special drink menu for our special day and Ethan made sure we had everything we needed. I can't recommend the Third Door enough! Also they do have a secret drink menu so pay attention when you're looking at the menu for the shortcut to the secret menu page which has some of my fave drinks. I also suggest trying the home sweet home. It does have passionfruit juice and I'm not a huge fan of sweet drinks or passionfruit, but the juice pairs perfectly with all the flavors, its not too sweet, and the edible flower its served with is perfect! I literally have never left a negative review on Yelp or any other platform- but I feel the need to warn others who would like to host special events here without buying the facility out (i.e, opening a tab for friends, family, etc). I had emailed the Third Door months before my wedding attempting to arrange "welcome cocktails" the night before, Friday 4/1. I finally got ahold of the owner on Instagram, and we discussed a ticketed situation where 30 of my guests could have 1 drink ticket from my husband and me. Lara quoted me a price and when I reached out to confirm when I could pay, she never responded. Thinking this might just be a snag and that all would work out seeing as we had connected only a few days before, I proceeded with keeping the Third Door on my wedding weekend schedule - what a mistake that was. After my rehearsal dinner, guests started arriving at the Third Door and were turned away, saying they needed a table to order a drink. Why in the world would Lara ever solicit the idea of drink tickets to me if this would be the case? Her bartenders are AWFUL and could not have cared less about how terrible this was for me to handle. 25 or so people who came from all over the city to share drinks with my husband and me before our big day all stood outside confused and annoyed. My immediate family grabbed a table as they arrived early, but the male bartender FOLLOWED my cousin to the restroom saying she could not get up from the table - in which she replied "well I have to get up to use the restroom"- he actually waited outside the restroom for her to finish which is borderline harassment. Of course I was not aware of this until a few days later. I was too busy watching an incredibly rude and immature bartender threaten to call the police on my brother who was visibly irritated and upset by how INCREDIBLY disappointed I was to handle this situation less than 24 hours before the most important event and day of my life. If this story doesn't dissuade you from taking your business to the Third Door, I don't know what else will. The only saving grace we had was a server who told me to find my friends and go to Johnnie MacCracken's a block away (which ended up being WAY more fun anyway). Lara did make one of her staff members apologize to my family, even after my father still politely tipped them. In my aunt's words, it was not heart felt and still full of attitude. Lara apologized to me as well, but obviously this is still the absolute worst memory from my wedding weekend. Take any business for your special events to Mac's Chophouse across the street. Leave overpriced cocktails and terrible hospitality for the Third Door. read more
