Very extensive tiki drink menu with something for everyone. We ordered pork and shrimp dumplings. Both were excellent. Clearly a lot of regulars frequent this bar/restaurant and we were told by multiple patrons that there isn't a bad dish on the menu. I might be back for lunch this week because the food smelled that good!

We came here for the Tiki Bar which is not separately advertised. It's at the back of the Chinese restaurant. Although there is nothing dividing the two there is a distinctly different feel at the bar. Great tasting cocktails although not all classically prepared. They were all well balanced and the Black Magic particularly had the right amount of coffee flavor. Also enjoyed some meaty pork spareribs, some shrimp dumplings and edamame. Servers were attentive and friendly and the owner was constantly walking around making sure everyone was happy. Would definitely go back.

The tiki bar is open! And it's kinda cool. Yes, it's in the back of a Chinese restaurant... but don't despair. The food is excellent as well. We tried some well made tiki cocktails, including a mai tai and a hurricane. Tasted like fresh fruit juices and certainly packed a good punch. We will definitely come back for more!

Coronavirus Update: The House of Foong-Lin is still open for carryout and delivery AND that includes their great cocktails! Take them home, add ice, and forget this mess. Ha. Fantastic cocktails and a friendly, attentive staff. This is a great tiki bar attached to an old-school Chinese restaurant. Stop in to see Chef Fu and and Ms. Ling for an evening you won't forget! Thursday nights are Tiki Thirstday, with delicious $6 drink specials and lots of tiki regulars that will make for a great evening.

Every other sports bar we checked was completely booked, so we were excited to find a table here. The atmosphere was fantastic! The place was packed, but it never felt disorganized. From what I could tell, they have multiple levels, including a rooftop, and there was a great energy throughout the restaurant. One of the highlights was an older gentleman (I'm guessing the owner or manager) who really helped create a fun environment. He walked around with a megaphone, interacting with guests, giving away small prizes like hats, bottle openers, koozies, and other giveaways. He even took a moment to thank everyone for coming and reminded guests to take care of the servers, which I thought was a nice touch. Speaking of the servers--they were amazing. Even with a full house, service was fast, friendly, and efficient. Food came out surprisingly quickly, drinks stayed flowing, and our server never made us feel forgotten despite how busy it was. I ordered the chicken tacos, which were good I, and everyone at our table enjoyed their meals. My daughter absolutely loved her apple pie à la mode and cleaned the plate! My only complaint is that, for a sports bar, the TVs could definitely use an upgrade. Some of the screens were fairly small, a few weren't very clear, and one even had visible lines running through the picture. Since people are coming specifically to watch games, better screens would really elevate the experience. Parking ended up being easy since it was a Sunday. The nearby garage was free, and I was lucky enough to find street parking directly across from the restaurant. Overall, this was a fun place to catch a big game. Great atmosphere, excellent service, good food, and I'd absolutely come back for another sporting event.

We sat at the bar and had great service and conversation with Brandon, the bartender. I ordered the crab cake sandwich with waffle fries, and the person with me had the Reuben with tater tots. The Reuben was perfectly proportioned to the bread, and we were both very happy with our meals. The crab cake was the standout for me, not overcooked, not dry, and seasoned perfectly. I highly recommend it! One thing I learned quickly in Maryland is that Old Bay seasoning goes on just about everything. I do like Old Bay, but for me it's best when cooked into seafood rather than added afterward, as it can be a little salty. Overall, a great casual spot with friendly service, good food, and a lively atmosphere.

The drinks are kind of pricey otherwise, up to $25 for a cocktail! But the happy hour deals are amazing! We started with a rum punch bowl for $22 and holy crap it was strong! It's also so cute and ready for Instagram, and every time one of us lifted it to drink we felt like Poseidon. From there were got some apps to share. The nachos were pretty good and had a unique flavor profile, and you can't beat $12 for nachos in DC! We continued with $5 mini frozen drinks and wow were those a deal! They were super strong and also super cute! A friend got the Pain Killa and again for $9 it was a steal and the most delicious drink we had. Someone also came by with free Jell-O shots and they matched the mood of our night! The whole bar is fun with quirky decorations and great views. I'm sure it gets really busy during nice weather. Plan for it and come for the best deals during happy hour.

But what landed me on a 3 was value, specifically for my shrimp po boy which, at $18, was literally 3 shrimp on a hot dog bun. See the pic. It comes with broccoli but I had them sub tots. I just have a hard time with the idea that some broccoli, a single hot dog bun and 3 shrimp are worth $18. The fried rice was a much better value in both portion and quality and our s'mores platter was pricey at $18 but also quite ample. Drinks were strong. Not necessarily good. But strong. So whether these drinks were 3 or 4 stars for you depends on your goals. Overall, is this somewhere I would go out of my way to visit? No. Is it a chill easy hang if you're already in the area and need somewhere to drink while waiting to do something else at the Wharf or if you work in that area? Sure. Do I like that it is chiller and less bougie than the rest of the Wharf? Absolutely. I just feel like your best bet is to come and have a beer.

The blonde hostess was welcoming and gave us a friendly greeting. She sat us outside and with good shade for my doggo. Andre, our server, was attentive to all our needs and exceeded expectations. He gave us plenty of time to decide on drinks and food. He also gave us plenty of water and ice to cool my fur baby down which I greatly appreciated. The drinks were solid. I will say the frozen pina colada was super strong and I wish it had more of the coconut tropical taste. It was definitely a cool down drink though. My mom likes strong drinks so keep at it! We had the honey old bay wings to start which were absolutely a must try! Very crisp and tasty! I ordered the burger which was tender and tasty. My mom had the chicken wrap at first but she had to send it back as she did not want ranch on it. Seeing that made her stomach turn (not ya'll fault, she had food poisoning yesterday, doesn't eat dairy, and wasn't too hungry). We ordered a plate of wings again to satisfy her and it overall was a nice outing. Andre and the staff were very attentive and I would highly recommend anyone try this hidden gem. Extra kudos to Andre though. Bro is an absolute gentleman and please let him know he is a star server in my eyes. I have been coming for two years! Thanks again!

One of the highlights of the night was meeting the owner, Jason. We bonded over our shared Cantonese backgrounds and even got to meet his aunt, who was visiting from California and happened to be sitting next to us. It made the whole experience feel incredibly welcoming and personal. We ordered the Dynamite Roll, which was a solid choice with 8 generous pieces, and the Szechuan spicy wontons, which were juicy with just the right amount of heat. If you visit, definitely grab a seat at the bar. The bartenders are friendly, engaging, and really add to the experience. We were treated to a complimentary shot of Jäger with Jason and even got to sample their Lychee Pearl cocktail because the bartender had made an extra. The cocktails really stood out. Instead of masking everything with sugary juices, they use extracts and creative techniques to build balanced drinks that complement the flavors beautifully. Jason also mentioned that their cocktail specials change every month, so we already told him we'll be back regularly to see what new creations he comes up with.

They offered me a few complimentary drinks and replaced the hot dog. But when I closed my tab, they charged me for every single drink, including the ones they had offered to make amends. So in the end, the only thing they did was replace the original hot dog--after it chipped my tooth. Disappointed is an understatement. A gesture of goodwill turned into a confusing bill.
