A trendy, craft cocktail bar, complete with an enthusiastic dj and imposing doorman is tucked in Rosewood Court, around the corner from Ocean Prime and across from The Crescent. Unless it is a home game, be sure to leave sporting attire at home and dress to impress. The interior straddles the modernity of a science-based mixology with a stark vintage approach to decor and detail. Once you make your way through the throngs saddles at the bar, the craftsmen will make sure your cocktail is made with flair, precision and panache. We tried several drinks, listened to a great mix by the dj while we people watched "Dallas" finagle their way through the room. See and be seen. Drink and be Tipsy. ;)

Super cool bar. Def club vibes at night. You can be seated without buying a table, but if someone comes in and reserves a $150 minimum they can take your table. We stayed until 1130 and this didn't happen. The drinks are fantastic! $18 apiece. Pretty normal price. The servers were super attentive. The music was great.

Great spot for cocktails with the girls! We showed up on a Friday night without reservations--most tables require one along with a minimum spend. Thankfully, the super kind hostess let us use some empty couches. I had the Her Name Was Lola--sweet, fruity, and so refreshing. The complimentary popcorn with tangy seasoning was a nice touch. Can't wait to come back and try more drinks!

I went here for drinks after a meal. This is a trendy/hip lounge. There were indoor sitting as well as a covered patty. They take reservations, but we didn't have any and we're able to sit in the patio. Seems as if the patio is open sitting. Nice comfy couches. Service was good. We had a nice attentive waitress and the dj played good music! The lounge does add a 20% gratuity to the bill.

My recommendation if you're going on the weekend, try to go a bit early if you want to get a seat.. we were there right at 9:00 and we were able to sit on the couches and really relax and have our cocktails and listen to cool tunes.. They had some great cocktail. Spy ended up having a Tito's lemon drop maybe two. The service is great. The music at 9 o'clock wasn't very loud, but we did hear that later on it gets super crowded and super loud. We loved it.

Came here one night after dinner at Sixty Vines. We sat upstairs in the section in the back. It was cozy and we got good service back there even tho it was kind of out of the way. The first drink I had was Halloween themed and was not tasty so I swapped it out for a couple of espresso martinis that hit the spot. I also had a cucumber drink that was tasty and my friend had the old fashioned. All good. Overall it's a unique spot with lots of places to sit. A good spot to check out if you're in the area.

Nice spot in uptown for drinks and a good time with friends. Came on the Saturday before Halloween and it was quite busy. Had drinks and tacos with my friend while we enjoyed the music. Will definitely return!

We visited on a Saturday night around 9:00pm. They weren't too busy yet, but the venue was already pretty loud and a dj was setting up for the night. It's a pretty cool spot, but definitely more of a bar or club scene than what we were expecting based on photos and the drink menu. I thought it'd be more like a cocktail lounge. Everyone enjoyed their drinks and I was so appreciative they threw together a mocktail for me despite not having any on their menu. The service was excellent, too. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a fun girl's night out or some sort of high energy celebration.

We came in near closing time, but Emilia provided us great service and stayed attentive even though they were clearly packed. We were seated at a table near the door, and unfortunately it had a vomit smell. Whatever it was, my friend could not stand it and had to get up and step away from the table. We first thought the culprit was the paper drink coasters, but then the staff removed the door mat near us later on, so maybe someone puked on it and the smell lingered, even after it was cleaned up. Clear Mizu ($16): This has Sakura vermouth and bitters, so we ordered it. It tasted like straight up gin and was not good. It was actually one of the rare times my husband could not finish his drink. Kyoto Sunset ($15): This one wasn't bad and tasted like honeydew. The ingredients include honeydew Calpico, so that makes sense. Johnny Walker Black ($16): This was our friend's drink, which I think was just coke and Johnny Walker. Nothing special about the taste either. Given the smell and so-so/terrible cocktails, we will not be coming back or taking our friends here.

The hotel property is like four legs under the table - a great location, a great hotel experience, a great restaurant experience, and a entertainment experience (The Mansion Bar). At least one leg has been kicked out, one is suffering. The Mansion Bar used to have a great recipe for success - proven by how busy and regular the customers were and loyal (or was), and the top tier talent that was routine for 10+ years. Me and my friends have a relationship with the long time staff as customers as well as the excellent music talent. The cause? Not precisely sure but I think it's new ownership, at the very least a new Food & Bev manager. I also know the staff is very upset about these changes and the relationships with the repeat music talent is now a mess. I wouldn't be surprise if the staff start leaving. I'm hoping whomever is making these decisions can revert back to what was working. Dallas has a lot of great venues that will fill this void.

At one point, our food was delivered while we were outside getting fresh air. The food was also disappointing. The scallops and chicken were extremely salty and lacked flavor, and the chicken was overcooked. When we brought it up, the server did little to address it. To top it off, we saw two large cockroaches around our table, which was especially noticeable in the dark dining room. When we walked in, the hostesses greeted us and seated us at the table we had reserved in the Leopard Room. Initially, we were placed at a small half table along the wall. We asked if it was possible to move, and they happily accommodated us. That particular table felt a bit awkward for conversation since you can barely face the person across from you. It might work better for someone sitting alone and people watching rather than having a full conversation. Service throughout the night was great. The staff checked in regularly without being intrusive and made sure we always had what we needed. For drinks, I would say they were just okay. They were not bad, but they also were not particularly memorable. Given the speakeasy concept, I expected a bit more creativity in both flavor and presentation. We ordered the Melting Clock Elixir, Persistence of Berries, Cotton Candy Cloud, and the Surrealist 75. As the night went on, the space became much more crowded and louder once the DJ started playing. If you are hoping to have a relaxed conversation and catch up with friends, this might not be the best spot later in the evening. From what I saw, the Library Room seems to have a nicer atmosphere for that. The Leopard Room leans more toward a lounge or club-like environment as the night progresses.
