We have been given the run around after this joke of a shop destroyed our winter rims because the tech is untrained and used the wrong size to remove the lug nut causing every rim to be scratched. Ast. Manager asked if I wanted some oil changes. Of course I don't want oil changes I want you to fix what you damaged. I am a store manager for my customer service business for 22 years so I understand what I am talking about. Jim the store manager will dodge your calls all day just so he doesn't have to take ownership of the damage. After finally reaching Jim he looked at the damage and said he will call his repair man to fix the rims. That was over 30 days ago. The owner has already been made aware and doesn't respond either. So now since they are just going to blow us off even though we have emails stating that the damage will be fixed no one will reach out to us. Next step will be bringing this joke of a store manager and owner to small claims court which they will not be happy with. Thanks for the damage to my new rims. I wish I could rate this with NO stars because I typically don't hire crooks. Yesterday, I had no choice but to go to the Tire Warehouse for my NYS Inspection. What they didn't know was that, prior to going, I checked every light bulb (blinkers, headlights, license plate lights - ALL OF THEM) and they all worked. Shock and surprise that they told me I needed a new light bulb in order to pass my vehicle. $10.00 for the light bulb, $30.00 to install. Why? Because they don't make money on the inspections. I argued with the thief that light bulbs cost $5.00 for a two-pack and he said, "10.00 for the light bulb, $30.00 labor. That's what it costs." I handed over $60.00 for the inspection and the anal rape and he was kind enough to hand me $10.00 back. Must have felt guilty. After it was all over, the same dirt that was on my light bulb before I brought the vehicle in, was undisturbed. Must have been a laproscopic light change. My! Technology in the auto repair industry has taken a leap forward! I get that we are in a horrible economic state and that, alone, underscores the need to seek a RELIABLE auto repair company to perform a simple NYS Inspection. Tire Warehouse should not only be avoided but, due to their fraudulent business practices, the business should be shuttered and all employees should be in jail. read more

Had a new service tech that has been there for not even a year work on my car. Skipped the very first steps in properly lifting a vehicle with a hydraulic car lift and that is visually inspecting the vehicle's lift points (there are more than one recommended lift points in a car). The new inexperienced tech put my vehicle on the lift without visually checking the lift points and caused a serious amount of damage to my car that WAS NOT there before it went into the Tire Warehouse's care and shop. I have pictures showing that there was no damage prior to it entering the shop. Absolutely no one at Tire Warehouse informed me about the damage done to my vehicle let alone take the time to listen to a customer and treat me like I don't know a thing about vehicles when in fact I went to an ASE certified trade school for automotive technology. Brought my vehicle to the so called "manager" of Tire Warehouse and he didn't even bother to take a look at the damage and did not take the situation seriously. Not to mention one of the service techs was hitting an electronic cigarette at the front counter very professional what was the flavor by the way? I'm not going to go into detail on how this place is ran by their management let's just say the McDonald's down the road is ran better than this place. Also looks like the shop hasn't seen a renovation since the mid 80's. I mean honestly just take a look outside the place looks ran down a joke of a tire shops. There's multiple better tire shops in the area than this place I believe one just opened like 3 months ago? I mean Tire Warehouse has had respectful business in the past but I guess their service is not the way it use to be. My whole family went to this shop but we are just going to go to Warren tire from now on! And the damage to my vehicle could have been easily avoided if the service tech was properly trained on the equipment. Also not to mention when I was inside the actual shop one of the service techs was bringing in a customer car (Jeep that is worth probably $35k-40k) ran over a huge pile of metal on the shop like it was no big deal. Took my car in for 4 new tires. They said it would be $407.00 out the door. That included labor. Well they couldn't get one of the lug nuts off on each tire, so it was 9 dollars per lug nut and 55 dollars labor. Oh and NYS charges for new tires and more to dispose of old tires. They were very misleading with the charges. Be careful. I don't recommend them. This tire warehouse is in Queensbury New York. read more

Big thanks to Lee for getting my leaky tire fixed quickly and economically. My friend and I were driving through the Adirondacks yesterday in a remote area and suddenly got a low tire pressure warning. We managed to limp down to the lake, and had to fill the tire twice along the way before we could find a place that would fix it. Tire Warehouse found the shard of glass that we must have run over and patched the tire so we could continue our 500 mile journey. read more

I was very disappointed in my end of July experience at Tire Warehouse, Quaker Road, Queensbury. Although my family and I have been customers there for over 20 years, we will not return. At the end of July, prior to a lengthy road trip, I became aware of a tremble / vibration in the steering wheel of my car whenever driven over 60 mph my guess was unbalanced tires, alignment / possible brakes....I brought the car to the shop, was told it was "needs new rotors and brake pads, $750" by the desk guy, L.A.......gave the go ahead...with my guesses and the "vibration of steering wheel at over 60 mph" noted on the work order. At noon, I returned, I was told the car had been test driven, problem solved. The next day I tried the car at 65 mph, found the vibration still just as it had been. I returned to the shop, let L.A. know that the reason I had brought the car in had not been resolved. I also stated my surprise, and was told no test drives are done at over 60 - when the problem had been noted on the work order that it occurred then. While I waited, the tires were balanced and rotated, when I test drove again, problem was solved. So - I had not asked to see the rotors / pads on the car before work was done, now wonder if the brake work was really needed at all, and have lost the 20 years of confidence I had at this shop. Clerk was polite and friendly day 1, condescending on day 2 (the day of my return to the shop since the problem had not been solved)......I was not charged for these very minor services but spent about two hours of my own time waiting, again. There are plenty of similar shops around for the next time I have a concern. read more

My wife and I stopped at The Tire Warehouse as a tire on my truck developed a fast leak (seems there had been screw in my tire and it popped out in the boonies of the Adirondacks...). I pumped the tire up to 40 lbs and headed South on I-87 from the place I first noticed it low, and in 38 minutes exactly, the TPMS reported it low again. I could hear it leaking , so I put more air in, and high tailed it to the first tire shop I could find. Two nice ladies in a Sunoco station told me that The Tire Warehouse 3/4 of a mile down the road would get me fixed up. I pulled in, they wrote me up, quoted me $18.95 for a plug (cheap as it is twice that in MD where I live and was traveling back to). The guy who was working that task had a string plug in and all the tires topped to 40 lbs, to include the spare, in a bout 20 minutes. When I went in to settle-up, the gentleman behind the counter wouldn't let me pay, said just have a nice safe trip back home. I have to say, this kind of service is rare now-a-days, and people like this deserve your business. Hell, when my General Grabbers wear out in 20K miles, I might just drive 5 hours there to get them to replace the darn things! They took what could have been a disaster of many hours and a VERY late arrival back home, into a very positive experience. read more

Complete rip off, had brakes done quoted me one price when done 100.00 more lasted about a week, then the shaking and grinding noise began, I thought maybe they need to adjust because they are new...three weeks took my car back. They said look at it for no charge! Came back out said roaters are warped!?!?I said the brand new roaters you just put on? They said we will replace them this one time?! They said because you drive down the mountain road you are warping the roaters. Don't go down any mountain roads and they will be fine. If you do they will wrap again and like we said this is the only time we will help you!? I have lived in the same house for 30 years have had luxury to sports cars and brakes done. I have never been told this and this has never happened! And Drive the same roads for 30 years. Do not go to Tire Wharehouse, they can not be trusted, and they will not warrenty their work, also kind of threatening toward women saying don't come back! I will admit that they did have the cheapest tires when I was getting quotes. Yet when I drove away my steering wheel was turned to the ten o'clock position. When I questiones them about it they said that it wasn't their fault. I claimed that I had no problem with whatever they did to my car by accident, I just wanted it returned to the condition that I dropped it off in. They offered an alignment for around $85. Of course I asked to discuss it with their manager and they poo pooed me away and I will never return. read more

These guys are complete jerks. "You break it, you buy it/fix it". Not them. During a courtesy check, they broke two lug bolts and did not remove them, fix them, or replace them. When called, they said bring it back and they would fix it. When I went to pick up the car, they charged me $67 for TWO LUG BOLTS after they damaged my car and they said "Sorry, it isn't our fault." Don't waste your time or money with these greedy pigs. Spent $1500+ on tires and it's amazing how quick they are to throw a valuable customer out. Soo last Friday I had purchased a 2005 scion tc and it needed some work done. No big deal. Went to tire warehouse and they gave me a price and instantly paid it. It was 1000 dollars. Soo spending this much much you would would think that the car would get finished kind of quick. The employees were great and everything. But I still do not have my car back. Parts had to be special ordered which I understand. But... seeing as though I paid soo much why am I still currently waiting for my car? And I'm not sure how the car is or if it has even been touched. I'm assuming it is sitting behind their shop still not being worked on. But like I said really good employees but waiting times are bad and part deliveries take a long time. read more

I posted a review about a week ago. All I have to say is I was really wrong. Tom the manager and his mechanic staff are excellent. They spent 3 hours on my truck and fixed the problem. They wanted nothing in return but thank you. They went through the truck and checked everything. I drove home and had a smile on my face. I guess I did find a tire shop I could count on. Be very, very careful about this place. I had done business here for a couple years and was always happy until an incident this past winter. I went in for an inspection and was failed for having a bad tie rod. After getting a quote for $600 in repairs, I said no thanks to the work and headed to another garage after lifting and checking the front end at home just to be sure. I found no problem with the tie rod, and neither did the other garage. Fraud? Oh yes. Took the vehicle back to Tire Warehouse for an explanation and got a lot of attitude from the "manager" - I'll call him Scarface. They looked at it again and "confirmed the problem" but refused to show me the issue when I asked. This place really needs to be shut down by the state, as they are fraudulent. Their tires are a good deal for the money, but they will make up for it by sticking you with unnecessary repairs. read more

STAY AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN. I had tires put on here and the work was good and the price was right, So I decided to throw them my business with a brake job and and a climate control problem. The first time I got it back the brakes were squeaky and the tech left the shroud off of the place under the dash where they were working. Left a complete mess and never even tested the system to see if it worked (hint: it didn't) Asked them to look at the brakes again and got nowhere. A few days later the climate control again didn't work. So I took it back and they fixed it. A week or so later my brakes gave out completely while driving! I took it back and they said it was the power steering fluid level (total BS). So while traveling up to lake Luzerne a while later the front left caliper seized up!!! I left the car with them for a week and a half to fix the issue. So six visits later and my brakes are still squeaky, my climate control at times is wonky, and I've wasted hours there. And after they completely destroyed my brakes and I paid $1500 they wanted to charge me for a contaminated master cylinder. These people are barely qualified to pump gas much less work on cars, especially given the fact that my brakes completely gave out one day. Could have killed my whole family. If I could give zero stars I would. The state needs to shut this place down. read more

He knew of this place as we lived here a while ago and told me to stop in - they would give me a fair price. And they did! FREE! They took my car right in - took out the screw, patched it and told me to come back again and have a nice day! I asked twice if I needed to pay and they smiled and told me it was all set. WHAT! On 8/25 /2017, I went to the Quaker road store to get my tires put on new custom wheels that I bought elseware. I also bought new wheel sensors, and installed them myself, to save time. When I went to pay, I asked the person at the counter if the socket for the lugnuts was put back in the box, he said yes, it was. The reason I asked, is because those wheels take different lugnuts. On the way home I noticed that they didn't relearn the tpms sensors, I went back and told him about it, and "he told me that his tool could not do after market sensors", that I would have to take it to a dealer. (This is supposed to be a tire shop)? After I got home I looked in the box for the socket, and it was not in there, I went back to the store again, as I got to the counter, he reaches by the cash register, and hands me the socket. I wasn't going to bother to write a negative review, I just wasn't going to go back there, but, why I decided to write a negative review is because, the other day my wife and I were puting the grand kids in the truck, while she was puting them in their car seat, I happen to look at the right rear wheel, and a lugnut was missing. 1:The lugnut is on the shop floor somewhere. 2:It was not tight, and came off. 3:There was one short in the box. If there was one short in the box, I should of been told, he never said a word about it. If I could I would give that place, NO STARS!! I did go around and checked the rest of the lugnuts, and those where tight. And, oh yeah! When I got on the northway @ 70 I get a vibration, which I didn't have before. (wheels not balanced right), I suppose he'd tell me to take to the dealer. If you don't want a sore "BEHIND", stay away from that place! read more

I recently had a flat tire. I had the donut on when I stopped into the tire warehouse. I was promptly greeted and my tire serviced quickly. Tire warehouse repaired the tire, put it on and placed my spare back in the car. When I was checking out I was told no charge. I have been in this position before when visiting other tire dealers and they've always tried to sell me more tires. I was happy to have my tire repaired without the sales pitch. When it comes time to replace my tires I will definitely return to the tire warehouse! read more

They ripped off my 85yr old mother, giving her a $1700 repair job. Who knows if she needed it or not, but 1 month later she went to her dealership for an oil change, and they had to redo this massive repair job to the tune of another $1000. The parts they used were not even the correct size and they stripped all the screws and it had a leak. DO NOT RECOMMEND for any repair work! She went back over there and talked to manager who made up tons of excuses and tried to say it was her fault. She hardly drives so I doubt she could have wrecked this brand new $1700 repair! May be ok for tires I don't know but do not recommend for any mechanical repair work. read more

The wouldn't even discount the replacement tires. Low prices don't mean anything if they don't stand behind their products. My daughter brought her car here and she got a new tire on the front drive side, she left there and went straight to work, she called me 6 hrs. later from work and told me the new tire was flat. I called them and they said there was nothing they could do, so I drove to her work changed the tire to a spare got her home. The next morning I filled the new tire with air and could hear a hissing sound, I drove right to THE TIRE WAREHOUSE and the manager wanted to argue with me instead of hear what the problem was. What an idiot, I will NEVER go there again ever. I took the tire to monroe muffler ( cause a friend works there ) and they found that they broke the value stem, monroe replaced it for free. I picke up a screw in my tire while coming down Quaker Street while on my way to work. Remembering that Tire Warehouse was nearby, i turned around and stopped in with the hopes that they could do a quick repair. There were about 5 people ahead of me, but the guys took me in saying that it would be about a 45 minute wait before they could get me in. About thirty minutes later he came out and said that I was all set - no charge. I was so surprised and thankful. I guess it pays to go back to where you purchase your tires. Great job, guys. I had never had a problem with them before, but I will never be back after this last experience. car was dropped off on a Wednesday, I was told they would call me in the morning and get it done. thursday I called them at 2pm because I had heard nothing back, I was put on hold for 10minutes, I called back and they put me on hold again until someone finally told me they had done nothing and it wouldn't be done until friday afternoon. I went down there to get the brakes and my hood latch fixed and they said that they had fixed both which had costed me about $600. Come to find out that after they fixed my car, whenever I went above 40mph my car would shake...oh and they said they "fixed" my hood latch which they didn't. They had told us that the hood latch didn't have any issues when closing the hood and they had greased it up good just in case. I was driving down the Northway during rush hour when my hood flies up and slams against my windshield. Luckily neither I or my dog were injured but I needed to replace my hood, my windshield, the the top of my car because they had neglected to fix the hood latch and lied about it. I've never had a good experience with them due to having to go back multiple times and fix what they "didn't notice" when my car was there to be fixed for that very reason. I very highly do not recommend them because either myself, my dog, or someone else on the road could have been serioualy injured because of their negligence. When we confronted them about it they told us that there was nothing we could do to prove that it was negligence. read more

Love Rob and his team! My parents and I have been taking all our cars here for years - these guys know what they're doing and are NOT trying to rip you off. I now live about 5 hours away and still have about 90% of my car maintenance done here because I can trust them. For example, at my 2015 car inspection, I was told my breaks would likely need to be replaced within the year. I brought my car to Rob for an oil and filter change and asked him to check and fix the breaks - he put the car up on the lift and got a good look and said they were 100% fine, didn't even need new pads! He would have made a pretty penny replacing them, and I would have trusted him if he said they were bad, but he was honest. Rob said the inspection guy was likely trying to take me for a ride. Instead of a $500+ bill, I got out for under $100, including an oil change, new filters, and new wiper blades, and he didn't even charge me for looking at the breaks. All prior maintenance and tire purchases have been top quality, too. These are GREAT MECHANICS! read more
