Everyone there was great very honest and great service and very fast with no pressure

STAY AWAY!!!! Loved this place at one time. Took my car there for inspection and was told I needed rear brakes. I told them I was an ASE certified mechanic at one point and I wanted to see them. The receptionist (who's out to lunch) told me he would put it on the lift. I went outside and he pulled the car out and walked away. I looked at the brake pads and there was 25% wear left before tab contact and I don't drive the car. This place is TRASH!!!! There is a reason there's barely any cars there now. read more

I always went here when it was adirondack tire and they were great. Now that it is Mavis the employees are rude. Mechanic shows up late and probably "under the weather" and doesn't want to do thr job the appointment is for. The worst customer service and experience I've ever had there. Hope they close down soon so no one else goes through this. read more

Totally shocked to learn that the honest, hard working manager of Queensbury ADK Tire, Brian Phinney, was fired after 15 years for refusing to work full Saturdays as mandated by the new ownership of Mavis Tire. I trusted Brian when he recommended repairs or tires; he never steered me wrong and gave me options to save money. Brian did everything with integrity and worked hard in all kinds of conditions. New management hired 3 people to do what Brian did solo. I want him back or going elsewhere. Totally unwise and unfair to fire the best manager and worker I have ever encountered in the auto repair business. What was Mavis Tire thinking to fire Brian because he didn't want to work on Sat after giving 5 days of hard effort at the shop for 15 years? I have known Brian Phinney from the beginning. He can't be replaced. I don't trust the work ethic of the new crew. I saw and heard the reality of them. I am going elsewhere without Brian at the helm. He was my trusted mechanic over the past 15 or so years. I am still shocked and saddened over Brian Phinney's firing. Truly a very unwise move on the part of new ownership. read more

We brought our car in for service because a light was on. We where told that it was because we needed batteries but special batteries because our car was a hybrid. They tried to install them but they didn't fit so we took the car to the dealership where they said the batteries where fine. I'm sure if they could have figured out how to get new batteries in our car they would have and charged us 1000$. They also charged for all the hassle when when never needed batteries in the first place!! read more

Needed new tires for my vehicle. Went to other business and received the run around. Went there for price and spoke to Brian. Ask my vehicle info and went to Goodyear product, gave me more information. He quoted a price which was reasonable. Said he could get me in right away. 30 minutes later I was out the door. Will be going there for inspections and oil changes. read more

While on vacation from out of state we had a flat tire on the highway. And after putting on the spare, got off the exit to find Adirondack tire in Queensbury NY. We decided to purchase 4 new tires for the truck since they all were the same age and worn. I happened to be standing in the doorway of the bay where the tires were being mounted, when the relatively new help disclosed that as he was trying to mount the tire the bead was slightly cut but he assured me it was minor and would be fine. We were camping in the area for a few nights and when it was time to leave, it was Saturday morning when I discovered one of the new tires was flat. I returned to Adirondack tire to find that they were closed when posted hours stated they should be open. I continued to the next tire shop 2 miles down the road where they broke the tire down to see why it wouldn't seal to the rim. They discovered a foot long piece of rubber had been sliced off the bead when Adirondack installed it. They could not get it to seal sufficiently so I was left with driving the 220 miles home on the spare. Monday morning, I called Adirondack to explain how I discovered a cut tire from their install and the only resolve Brian at the Adirondack in Queensbury offered was to return to the shop and he would put on a new tire. He gave me a big attitude and told me I should have just left the tire at his closed shop before I headed home. This was not possible, vacation was over and his shop wasn't open when it was supposed to be. I offered the receipt from the other tire shop as well as the manager from the other tire shop offered to verbally verify that the tire had been cut. I also offered photos. Brian declined all 3. So I discovered that the Adirondack in Schenectady is the corporate store and talked to Shawn there to explain what happened. They said he should have been open during the posted hours and that would have taken care of my problem. He said I could get a new tire from a local shop near me and send them the bill. And so I did. The end result is the new tire mounted and balance cost me $23 more than Adirondack. Shawn from the store headquarters did send me a check to cover the cost of the Adirondack tire. I'm out the $23. I had to pursue this at home when a. Brian wasn't open when he should have been and b. wouldn't take my evidence ! In addition I had to drive the 220 miles home hoping nothing would happen to the 3 new tires and the spare on the truck. Needless to say I am very disappointed with the service there and caution everyone to stay away. read more

Apparently my first review didn't post. My wife brought her car there on Monday for four tires, that they said they had. After returning, we found that only two tires were put on the car. Brian never called to ask if we wanted to mount just two tires , or buy four more of a different brand .They said there were only two tires, after all, and that they would get the other 2 tires in a day or two. After not having the tires the following day, Brian said that he would overnight two tires. Next day, no tires! Now it's Saturday. Two snow storms later and now we're headed to Lake Placid with two crappy tires.He never even called back! Adirondack Tire definitely chooses quantity over quality. We've been buying our tires there, but never again! read more
