We had such an amazing experience with Tongue Tie Tribe. Our daughter had a significant tongue tie that extended all the way to the tip of her tongue, as well as a lip tie. Naturally, we were nervous about the frenectomy, but Dr Weaver gave us the rundown, was so informative regarding lactation and also informed us that her kids had also gone through the procedure. We had one appointment with Danielle who was also extremely informative, heloed with latching and overall made my husband and I feel confident with doing the post procedure stretches. I took my baby to Tongue Tie Tribe at about 7 weeks old for some chiropractic work after she was having bad gas and reflux issues. I felt like I kept getting dismissed by her primary doctor and I knew something wasn't right. First of all, just talking to Dr. Weaver on the phone for 15 mins to make an appointment was more helpful than what anyone at the hospital or what her pediatrician had told me. When I brought her in, sure enough my baby had a lip, tongue in cheek tie which was causing latch issues and her tummy problems- this was missed by her doctor and 2 lactation consultants prior! The next day they lasered the oral ties in less than a minute. Dr. Berger took good care of my baby and she wasn't even crying after! The chiro work had her so relaxed after. The follow up appointments were so helpful, Dr. Weaver helped me find a good formula and bottles that were a game changer for my baby's latch and digestion issues and educated me on so much. This place is a Haven for overwhelmed parents, such as us, who came in to the Tongue Tie Tribe with our son who was misdiagnosed with "a little tongue tie" in the hospital after his birth and yet you were able to learn he had many more issues which caused problems with him latching and feeding. Our family has been seeing mostly Dr. Weaver, but the entire staff is absolutely amazing. From the actual procedure of fixing the three different ties my son had, to providing valuable information on how to take care of his wounds and strengthening his tongue. I especially appreciated the text messages and follow ups on how we were doing at home with our boy, from feeding him to his fussiness and how to help with his learning to suck and how to get him stronger at it. If something came up and I didn't understand how to deal with it, Dr. Weaver and her staff were always flexible to fit me into their schedule. It is one thing to have your baby go through the tongue tie procedure, but to meet a group of women who are also lactation consultants and teach you how to feed your baby and also teach the baby to eat, while juggling all the unknown factors of each, it is truly a blessing. We brought my 3 week old in for a consultation after his pediatrician recommended that we get his tongue tie removed. The pediatrician mentioned that it wasn't a severe case and that it was up to us. We also brought our concerns to our pediatrician that he was spitting up a bunch and just overall seems uncomfortable. She said that he's just a "Happy Spitter" and "Let the baby eat as much as he wants." None of this seemed right, so I did research on my own and found this gem of a place. Dr. Weaver gave us a bunch of recommendations during our first appointment saying to get new types of pacifiers and bottles, help latching him to my breast, proper ways to feed and burp him, etc. We got his tie removed the day after the first appointment with the help of Dr. Berger and Danielle. The entire team at The Tongue Tie Tribe is truly phenomenal. I wanted to quit so many times during my early breastfeeding journey with my son, but I attribute our success to The Tongue Tie Tribe. Before finding them, my son had his lip and tongue ties lasered by a different provider, but we were not given any follow up instructions or support and therefore his ties reattached. Nursing was not improving, my son continued to lose weight, and I had issue after issue from pumping and his poor latch. I am writing a review even though we didn't go through with the procedure because it speaks volumes of what type of business this is. My wife and I had brought our baby to a competitor of Tongue Tied and we felt pressured to get the procedure done on our daughter. Therefore, we decided to get a second opinion and visited Dr. Berger's office, whom a friend recommended. We were able to get in right away and see her and her team. They were professional and made us feel comfortable from start to finish. This was a bit scary as we are first time parents. After Dr. Berger analyzed our daughters "issue" she felt like if we did some recommended stretches and exercises with our daughter we would be fine without the procedure. To Parents, The Tongue Tie Tribe team changed our lives. I was at first a doubter of tongue ties as it was foreign to 1st time parents. We were experiencing a fussy, high reflux and non sleeping baby for multiple weeks all of which were considered normal until we met with the Dr. Weaver. Wow, I wish I came here sooner. As a third time mom it made me anxious to hear my little guy was gaining too slowly and not eating enough. I suspected a tongue tie or silent reflux but wasn't an expert to diagnose and our pediatrician was unsure. From the moment TTT called me back I knew I found the right place. Not only did they take my insurance for LC appts (Cigna PPO) but they fit me in within 48 hrs and the online intake process was easy. Dr Weaver reviewed my intake the night before the appointment and texted questions so we began the appointment getting right to work. She showed me and confirmed silent reflux and the tongue ties. She helped me figure out new positions to feed in and stretches to help my son. That same day I saw a difference in my son's feeds and general disposition. By the second visit he was gaining as expected. she adjusted him (not covered by insurance but cash price matches others in the area) and confirmed / reassured me as a mom. She recommended but didn't push for a revision and fully explained their approach - this makes me trust their care more and will ensure I recommend them to my own mama tribe. I typically don't leave reviews unless the place I frequent was absolutely amazing. I'm on baby #5, and you would think I would understand latch issues by now. I went to multiple lactation consultants through my birthing hospital (Kaiser Baldwin Park) and no one was able to diagnose the issue. I've never had so much pain during feeds and the proof was in the nipples. My nipples were bleeding so much and so misshaped that I was convinced there was something wrong. I'm talking about open sores!!! Even with a nipple shield, he was biting/clenching on my nipples. It was so painful that I switched to exclusively pumping so that I can let my nipples heal a little bit. I was recommended to go to a pediatric chiropractor by the lactation consultant at kaiser because my son's jaw was clenched and very tight. When I got there it was such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I drove all the way from Pasadena because the reviews were raving and I read that everyone was a lactation consultant and a specialist (chiropractor, pediatric dentist). I knew this place would be able to help in some way. I was desperate and just wanting relief (nothing wrong with exclusively pumping but I had my hopes to exclusively nurse, as I did with my 4 other children, and this was my last baby. Upon check in, they immediately started body work on my baby, who they noticed was very very tight. They immediately noticed a tongue and lip tie from a specialist who typically is very conservative with diagnosing lip and tongue ties and recommending corrections. Dr. Weaver was so sweet and compassionate that she even tried to get the pediatric dentist to turn around from her route back home in order to come because they felt so much sympathy for my situation. They were able to schedule me in for a frenectomy for the very next day, a day when the dentist doesn't typically come in. They were so sweet and walked me through everything. Since my insurance didn't cover it, I had to pay out of pocket but I also was able to get 4 follow up visits that were covered with the flat fee. And honestly, if it fixed the issue, the flat fee was well worth it to me. They helped us with aftercare and are always so attentive. They let you borrow pumping supplies if you really need it and are just so attentive to every step of the process. Every time I think of how you guys have helped me im moved to tears. This is a VERY delayed review - but better late than never right? I've been dealing with latching pain x 3 months (Bleeding, cracked, peeled nipples) with WEEKLY clogged ducts. It was horrible and made my postpartum experience terrible... i'm pretty sure it contributed to my baby blues and PPA. We had a great experience with the team Tongue Tie Tribe. We initially saw Danielle for a lactation consultation as our 3 week old son was not gaining weight and struggling to feed. She was great and my son quickly began gaining weight with her support! She helped us obtain a better latch, recommended a better nipple for bottle feeding based on his needs, and exercises to help him with feeding. Despite his improved weight gain and a better latch, my son was still struggling with feeding at 6 weeks. At that time, Danielle referred us to Dr. Berger for a possible frenectomy since my son had a tongue tie. I appreciated that although my son had multiple lip and cheek ties in addition to the tongue tie, Dr. Berger only recommended clipping his tongue and one lip tie as the others did not significantly impact him functionally. The procedure was quick and Kathryn, the SLP, made sure I could do the aftercare stretches correctly. We had follow-up appointments with Dr. Weaver, a chiropractor and lactation consultant, who checked my son's feeding after the frenectomy as well as doing some gentle body work on him. The frenectomy made a huge difference overall, as my son's feeding improved afterwards and my milk production increased! I highly recommend this team overall as they are professional and knowledgeable, but they also truly care about their patients. read more

I could've sworn I already reviewed so this is very overdue. I barely ever review anything, but these ladies are magic so it's well worth it. I will start at the beginning. I had my first baby in December 2022. Pretty much right away I could tell something was off but being a first time, mom I didn't really know much of anything and trusted the two pediatricians and lactation consultants at the hospital. His latch was shallow and painful, and my nipples were starting to get damaged. To help my milk come in I was told to start pumping after every nursing session right out of the gate, even though I was also told by the lactation consultant that based on her observation, she could tell my milk would come in, and that I would have no problem with supply. I had heard something about Tongue Tie's so I asked if if he had any and all three said no. The lactation consultant said that the excruciating pain was normal and to just breathe through it. By this point he was about six weeks, I had a cracked nipple and was developing what would eventually become mastitis. At this point, I know I had to do something as the "experts" weren't helping so I did some research and the Tongue Tie Tribe was recommended in local mom groups. From the moment I walked into the office with my baby and Husband I felt calm and welcomed. Within 5 minutes of meeting and speaking with Danielle I could tell we were in the right place and would at least get some clarity and answers and maybe even some help as she was our last hope before I gave in and just switched to pumping. Danielle told us about her background and asked a few questions that were spot on to the issues that we were dealing with, as she was doing bodywork on him at the same time and helping him poop/pass gas. He had been very unsettled, was falling asleep on the boob, crying from gas pain and we were told all this was due to his apparent 4 oral ties. We had no idea the other types of ties existed! Needless to say we had the procedure done as soon as possible as my boobs and my baby were in pain and my mental wellbeing was not great. Afterwards, His latch was better, and got better overtime. I eventually ended up being able to nurse him for 19 months before he started weaning himself as I was pregnant with number two. Like the other reviews say, not only were they friendly knowledgeable, and empathetic every time we went back for a follow up, but answered any and all questions via text that I had throughout my journey with him. It was worth every penny and a great reminder to trust your mom gut! #2 was born early Feb 2025 and I could tell right away. Something was off with her latch. She was very chompy and her tongue was not moving correctly. Before I even left the hospital I could tell my nipples were starting to go downhill so I immediately called and set up an appointment and got Danielle to see and evaluate her on the way home from the hospital. I was not messing around and was going to get help as soon as possible this time. Again, like the previous reviews say, they don't rush you into the procedure and want to make sure if your child does need it that they are ready. We confirmed she had all four types of ties as well and scheduled the procedure for about a week later to make sure baby girl was awake and aware enough, and that my milk was in to set her up for success. We were able to get ahead of the nipple, trauma and mastitis and was put on supplements to help baby girl gain weight and help prevent clogs are mastitis. I'm glad to say we were able to avoid any major issues this time. She is about seven weeks now and was able to gain back birth weight and her latch is good enough that I don't need nipple shields. I don't have the words to properly describe my gratitude for these ladies. They work magic and saved my sanity and my journey with both my kids. Invaluable and priceless. They embody the full meaning of what it feels like to have a Tribe surround you and really care about you and your baby. It's bittersweet not having to go there anymore because I will miss these ladies. I give them all the stars and recommend them to anyone I can. I have recently moved to Simi Valley and they are so good that I drove the two hours down to go see them multiple times. Please do yourself and your baby a favor and go. This was my second time seeing lactation consultant Danielle. We saw her with our first child in 2021 when I didn't know what I was doing and stressing out about breastfeeding with out pain. Danielle taught me a hold for my baby but most importantly pointed out that my baby had a severe tongue tie that prevented him from successfully latching, creating a seal, and sucking efficiently. That tie went to the tip of his tongue and the hospital pediatrician said he might outgrow it! Anywho, she referred us to get that fixed and I successfully breastfed my son for 10 months! This place is incredible! I've had latching pain for 5 months until I finally found the TTT -- they were able to diagnose my son's tongue and lip tie, and scheduled him for a revision for the same week. Additionally, Danielle showed me other ways to BF that were pain free. I feel so lucky that I found this place, and that they were able to help us so quickly! All my latching pain was gone as soon as my son's ties were cool lasered. The laser procedure itself was less than 5 minutes (most of the 5 minutes are them doing the set up). What an amazing group!!! I've learned so much from them and they're so friendly and knowledgeable! We went to them because we were told our son might be tongue tied and he wasn't latching and my milk supple was low. I cannot recommend the tongue tie tribe enough when considering who to choose for a tongue tie procedure. When I found out my baby had a tongue tie I called multiple places to get an estimate. The tongue tie tribe is actually the last place I called and just from that phone call, I knew they were who I wanted to go with. They got me in that same day and even shifted their schedules around to fit me in. They offer much more than just a procedure, they truly care about your baby and helping you out in anyway they can. I love that they not only have a dentist who does the actual procedure, but they have a lactation consultant and chiropractor who can take care of you as well; and all in the same space. Everyone in the office is super kind and inviting and extremely helpful. I learned so much from them and enjoyed my experience so much. These ladies are incredible! They didn't exist when my first needed tongue tie revision, but came here within a couple days of my second being born. Danielle was so helpful and gave me tips to maintain my supply until we could get his revision done. Helped make sure my flanges were the right size and that I was using the correct pacifier with tongue strengthening exercises. Incredible care for post procedure and now my baby is thriving! The tongue tie tribe ladies are absolutely wonderful! They truly deeply care for their patients and their mom's. We took my 10 week old for a consultation after my wife and I suspected that our baby had a lip tie. After a quick and effective evaluation, Dr. Berger concluded our little one had a lip, tongue, and cheek ties. She physically showed us where all the ties were located and gave us a detailed rundown of the procedure and post-procedure care. The frenectomy procedure was conducted by Dr. Berger that same day and it only took about 5 mins. Post-procedure, our baby had three follow up appointments to ensure proper healing as well as body work with Dr. Weaver. The results have been awesome so far and hopefully will only get better. Our baby's latch has improved while breast-feeding, she can sleep longer stretches, feed longer, and just seems a lot more relaxed. In addition, during the consultation my wife mentioned that she experienced her first clogged milk duct 2 days prior and that she still felt some discomfort. Dr. Berger quickly let Danielle "The Booby Fairy" know and she did not hesitate on helping completely unclog the duct. Overall, we had an amazing experience with the whole team! They were awesome and really made us feel comfortable throughout this process. read more

I don't really write reviews, but this one deserves it. The people, the women, the professionals, the booby fairies, they're just overall amazing human beings that work here. They are a godsend. If you're having any kind of reservations about going over or booking an appointment just to get a consultation, just do it. You'll be glad you did it. What we did is we had an appointment made within a day of contacting them, And once we were there, Dr. Berger went over everything and she let us decide if we were going do the frenectomy/get all of his ties released that same day so she was able to book us for that portion of the appointment. Just in case we said yes. The procedure itself is very quick. It takes a little bit longer to get your baby situated comfortable and then they do it. I will be honest. It's hard to hear the babies crying. They don't cry all the time, but when they do it, just it hurts your little heart. It's for the greater good and I'm sitting here now. Writing this review, actually doing a voice to text, because he is actually nursing and latching on properly because of what what these amazing people at the tongue, tie tribe, have done for us and our baby. Our son was born Sunnyside up, and he was stuck in the birth canal for a little bit, which caused some cranial trauma, and he has torticollis on the left side of his neck, which was also caused by his left cheek tie. So all in all he had his tongue tie, lip, and cheek ties released on the left side for his cheek. It's night and day difference as to what he's able to do now. And he's able to relax for the first time ever after doing the release. Is there and your appointment and procedure includes a few follow up visits up until two weeks and our final appointment will be this coming Wednesday with Dr. Berger. We also had some bodywork done with Dr. Weaver and Danielle (they are all certified lactation consultants and are great at what they're doing. I can't thank them enough!! A solid 10/10! read more

The ladies of Tongue Tie Tribe were my rock during those crazy first few weeks post partum. I knew my baby had a tongue tie because he (painfully) latched the same way as my firstborn did. I immediately booked the TTT and was so impressed. They quickly ensured medical coverage through my insurance. Had availability within the week! And they were so accommodating. I was not out of the hospital by the first appointment so they talked to me via zoom while my husband was there. Then the subsequent visits which at first I thought were overkill.. Were so needed. From proper latching, positioning, to me breaking down in tears in the office and them being so patient with me, to triumph - baby currently eats like a champ with no pain, I cannot recommend them enough! read more

They are the answers to my prayers!!!! When I seeked out for help by the Tongue Tie Tribe, I was at a place where I had already given up on breastfeeding after working with a hospital associated LC for a month. I wasn't interested in a frenectomy or to breastfeed again. I was emotionally and mentally drained by trying to breastfeed during the first two months and I was 90% accepting of my situation and was ready to let go. I booked an appointment since I thought getting an official diagnosis of the ties (which I had suspected and the other LC only diagnosed a lip tie loosely) would be the last 10% to allow me to let go. I also needed help with my pumping journey. At that point, we weren't interested in getting a frenectomy. I was also more interested in the cranial sacral therapy and baby chiropractic services. Danielle was amazing and educated us so much at our first appointment! I left with our frenectomy booked for the following week. What a 180, right? LOL Our baby had severe lip, tongue and cheek ties. Based on my own prior research, I believed his ties were affecting his oral and cranial development. What the tongue tie tribe explained and educated me on regarding the ties made total sense, giving me the confidence to proceed. Our baby boy was suffering from poor sucking, chocking during feedings, mouth breathing, poor tongue posture, neck tightness, torticollis, GI issues, reflux, milk tongue, extremely shallow and painful latch, etc. I wanted to release his ties for his tension and developmental concerns, but if we were able to breastfeed again that would have been an added bonus! Looking back now almost 2 months post procedure, I'm so fortunate we indeed benefited from breastfeeding improvement since our son also has issues with formula. He has cow milk protein intolerance which interestingly Danielle also guessed right away at our first appointment just by assessing his symptoms. Our baby boy is back to breastfeeding for most of his feeds. He was pretty much 100% bottle fed for several weeks when I first saw Danielle. With her help, we overcame nipple confusion and he has relearned to latch better. I'm currently working with her on increasing my milk supply, even at 4 month postpartum. Dr. Weaver, the chiropractor, has the biggest heart!! She worked on him as well and did some gentle adjustments to help with his torticollis and overall body tension. We've seen so much improvement on his mobility. It's also nice to know Dr. Weaver just had her second baby, and is going through the newborn stages as well. Congrats to her btw!! She also treated my mastitis when I saw her! That day was so rough for us - my husband's mom had a stroke the day before and that night I got mastitis (stress prone) We were extremely late to our appointment, with barely any sleep. We weren't mentally present either. In the 15min we had left, Danielle and Dr. Weaver (who was in her third trimester) was literally running around the office to help me get treated while I sat there numb and like a zombie from the exhaustion and stress of dealing with our family emergency. I will never forget the love and support I felt while they desperately helped this mama out while I was in the mindset of a breakdown. I share this as an example of how they genuinely care about you. They are compassionate empathetic beautiful souled people and work to support you through this journey being parents (new or experienced). Dr. Berger, the DDS, performs the frenectomy, and she is also a sweatheart. Even though I had millions of question about the procedure, her patience and confidence made me feel so comfortable with the procedure itself. We saw Katie, the speech therapist, once and you can tell she's so passionate about her work. We will be working with Katie more while Dr. Weaver is on maternity leave and we look forward to it!! Lastly, I can't end this review without commenting on Alyssa!! She's such a doll and always answers my calls and texts right away. She radiates warmth and positivity with her infectious smile. If and when I have a second baby, they will be one of the first people I'll call to schedule an appointment right away!! I feel so lucky they are local and honored I get to pass along the knowledge they shared with me and direct my friends and families to them for their services. It seriously takes a village and I'm so blessed and thankful they are part of ours. read more

Where do I even begin with the Tongue Tie Tribe? I had my first son in 2021 and searched high and low for a pediatric dentist to release his ties. My breastfeeding journey was being destroyed and coming to a quick end because of the pain I was in. We had to drive from OC to SD and wasn't too impressed. They didn't teach me about releases and why they were important. As soon as I got pregnant with my second son my husband and I knew we would probably be going down this path again so I started searching for a place that hopefully would be closer to our home and that would be more of a support system. God blessed me when "The Tongue Tie Tribe" popped up in my Google search. I knew I had to check them out. From the first call I knew I needed to be apart of this group of women. I came in and had a consultation with Dr. Weaver and Katie who are both amazing. They took my 2 week old baby boy into their arms like he was their own. Rocking and loving on him is all you can possibly ask for as a mom of a newborn. We formulated a plan and put into action. We wanted my son to get stronger on his own before releasing his ties. I came in weekly to have him looked at and worked on stretches at home. I then met with Dr. Berger (pediatric dentist) and Danielle Gauss (international lactation consultant), and he was ready for the release! I was so happy! Both of these wonderful women walked me through the process of what to do and what after care was going to look like. It was such a better experience than the first time. The after care process is what really made me feel loved and cared for. I now come in weekly to meet with Danielle Gauss and I swear she really is the Booby Fairy. I don't know if I come in more for the lactation support or a therapy session. She is the reason why I have been nursing my son for almost 10 weeks and am successful. I feel so supported, empowered and loved. I have referred several of my friends to her and every single one of them feels the same way about her and the team she works with. I cannot thank everyone enough for all of the help and support I received. I had my sons tongue and lip ties released elsewhere before I really knew about these gals. My little guy wasn't gaining weight and even after the release was still struggling and so was I. Danielle helped me out so much and got me talking to Katy who basically consulted with me without charge just to make sure we didn't need her services. Dr. Weaver also only had words of encouragement and help when needed. I can't thank Danielle and everyone enough for all of the help and reassurance. It really does take a village!
