I note this as this spa is geared toward the more mature and aged set (60+). My parents live here so I go to the spa when I can. Back to the receptionist - it seems that she sits on her phone all day and is not very helpful, especially for those who are older. She hands you a robe, etc. and doesn't really show you around or even ask if you need any help. She doesn't say where to wait or the name of the therapist. She doesn't show you the locker room so if you need help, speak up as she will not be proactively helpful. The massages have generally been good but I'm accustomed to paying way more so this overall feels like a bargain. I think the "upgrades" aren't worth it though. The facial I had recently was so-so. The woman seemed harsh honestly and not accommodating. I wouldn't get a facial again but a massage would be ok. As a side note, the spa also doesn't keep hair accessories like most spas so if you forget your hair tie, you're out of luck. They don't even have rubber bands. And don't rely on the front desk receptionist to be helpful. Again, she's rather flighty and out of it. She cares a lot about her phone and will also admit to you that she's bored. I never asked but speaks to her professionalism. Perhaps if she actually helped patrons, the boredom would subside. I digress.

My esthetician, Kate was friendly, warm and very professional. The facial was very thorough and I left feeling hydrate, glowing and pampered. She listened to my concerns and asked many questions to ensure that I got the facial that would meet my needs. One note, this salon in located in Sun City Grand. The majority of the clientele is 55+ in age. I am no where near that age bracket. As a result most of their treatments are geared to more mature skin, but there was no problem accommodating me! Just a personal preference (and I understand why) but both employees wore rubber gloves as they did all the treatments for the scalp/hair and the shoulder/arm massage (they did put on new gloves as they switched services). The feeling was still nice but almost an icky rubber feeling as the massage went on and the gloves got warm/gained friction. When the massage was on my scalp, again, it felt good, but the rubber on my hair felt as if it would've tangled it more and not as enjoyable if it were normal hands. Paid $215 for my sister, which included (K18 Molecular Repair Treatment, Moisturizing Hand Treatment, Blow Dry -Long hair (40 min))with Serenity Byrne. (My sister declined her extra add-ons since she had a severe sunburn on her face) Arrived at our appointment and sat outside on the chairs in front of the studio for our start time. I did not realize they would put us in the same room, but thankfully, it ended up not being an issue. Small studio room with 2 tables in a cramped space. We were instructed to undress waist up and use the towels provided. We were to brush our hair and use this small amount of sugar scrub for our hands. As much as this was enjoyable, because who doesn't like their hair brushed and washed, but this would be a one-time thing. The add-ons were nice, but they should definitely be included in the service and not be an extra add-on. The hand treatment was a latex glove with lotion inside it. The gold eye mask was the one you do at home, same with the lip mask. The cold stone face massage actually felt really good, but whatever tool she used continued to be dropped into the wash basin under my head, and created loud bangs and noises. My sister loved it, however, and felt it was a great experience and thinks she would go back, but as someone who already gets facials and massages, I could not justify adding this to my healthcare routine. The ladies who worked on us were amazing, and we can not take anything from them. Alexia was very sweet and had a great personality. You could tell Serenity was newer, but my sister said she did an amazing job. I was not too pleased that their tablet was not working, and they had to send me the bill on my phone.
