Ribs Barbecue entrées are available from 400pm Monday through Saturday and served all day on Sundays

The Towne Tavern is a spot beloved by locals and those traveling back to Albany from Jiminy Peak. I have to say not all of their food is perfect but their BBQ is top notch. My husband is picky about BBQ and he loves the ribs. Bonus tip is how delicious their homemade baked beans are. Also have a surprisingly good tap selection.

Everything always goes well. Nice interior, great food, although I find the ribs not to my expectations. I love my ribs, just not dry rub. I make the service good by being NICE to the waitstaff! Most take sarcasm well, And that can make or break my experience. A little fun with your meal is a good thing. Eat good food, and have a great time! Enjoy folks! I hope to be in on 11/5/25, as I had to cancel tonight.

Wow!! Delicious and great service from the start. Ashley was our server! Ask for her! Wings to start lemon Garlic Parmesan and mild buffalo wings. Hot, crispy! Soup, fish and a panini. Salad with steak. Happy with it all!! Delicious Kentucky Mule. Very much a hunting cabin.

Be still my heart. I will continue to give my favorite wing award to The Towne Tavern for as long as they keep doing their thing. The wings they serve here are simply amazing and I haven't found anything better. The smoked wings, deep fried, and drenched in their amazing Lemon Pepper Tequila sauce is the trifecta that wins it for me. The wings are deeply smokey, insanely crispy, tender and juicy on the inside, the sauce is perfect, I LOVE these damn wings. I come from Albany (30 mins) and it is more than worth it every time. My last visit I double ordered wings so I had plenty to bring home. oh, did I mention they also make their own killer blue cheese? Other than the wings, they have a pretty good draft list, but for some reason, the Sam Adam's Cherry Wheat tastes the best here. It's like a Shirley Temple beer. For an appetizer, we always order the Corn Fritters. It is like fried little balls of creamed corn and they are absolutely fantastic when dipped into the homemade ranch. My boyfriend loves their thick hand packed burgers also. Friday's and Saturday's they have a Prime Rib Special which is SUPER good, but for me, it is hard to get anything other than those freaking wings of perfection. I love this place, I love the taxidermy, I love the wings, I love the service, I love the not-so-appropriate quotes on the wooden beams, and the bra hanging from the ceiling, and did I mention? ... I love the wings. The Towne Tavern is currently rated 3.5 stars on Yelp, and that breaks my heart. This place is doing a great job, has great food, and you should get in here!

They definitely changed their potato pancake recipe it used to taste homemade now it seems very frozen Sysco.

Not sure what happened with towne tavern's potato pancakes but they definitely changed their formula and now it seems like a Cisco side. Their food is really tasty and the potato pancakes were a nice unique side dish, but now it's a disappointment that it's not homemade anymore. Anyway you can go back to the original formula?

There has been some turnover in staff but they were just as friendly, helpful and professional as I remembered. I kept it casual and picked a Tofu Banh Mi which is a Vietnamese sandwich. It came with greens. I really enjoyed this dish. It was filling but didn't weigh me down. I ordered Wayward Lane Brewing Monarca Gold: A Mexican-style lager. It was very good but I have to admit I ordered because I liked the butterfly on the can. I actually liked my friend's dark smoked beer even better. Wayward Lane Brewing's Lifeblood looked like stout and tasted a bit like smoked bacon to me even though it was supposed to feature notes of toasted brown bread and caramelized sugar. My friend also had truffle ( mushroom) fries and a smash burger. He loved the meal. Dove & Deer is a pretty place. Attractive furniture and light fixtures. Big windows. A nice variety of food and beverage that you might not find everywhere else.

Also, Dove + Deer has a current welcome gift of $30 off of $90. Anywho, I felt like getting pancakes and these were nice and fluffy with a nice chew. The strawberries were sweet and soft and the maple syrup was great. The eggs were scrambled perfectly as well, with great flavor - shocking because most eggs are so flavorless. You get a choice of additional protein and I chose the maple sausage which was delicious as well. The only thing that could be improved was a bit more salt and/or pepper on the home fries but I guess most people use the ketchup that's given, so I understand the under seasoning. The service was friendly albeit infrequent, and that's just fine. Water is left on the table for self-service and that's really why I need additional service attention anyway. All in all, a great brunch place because it has lots of space and feels casual and comfortable. Try it.

We did the morning animal feeding and my granddaughter absolutely loved it! We did not eat at June Farms, unfortunately on the evening we were going to, we got torrential down pours which led to flooding.( More on this soon) We did do bingo and had some drinks which was a great time with very tasty drinks! The only negative was not the fault of June Farms, we had a massive rain and thunder storm come through and there were flash flood warnings and lots of flooding happening. Gorgeous, rolling, lush, green grass, healthy and content livestock, the huts and houses were gorgeous and I would so love to say onsite for a weekend, the event locations were exceptionally nice, and the indoor entertainment venue was beyond wonderful. I have to also say that the service was on point. While it was great to meet some of the folks that I actually got to see on tv, it was equally wonderful to meet new folks, and to also find that all of them were top notch and went above and beyond from a service perspective. I was lucky enough to meet the owner, reminisce on his time in NC for a short bit, and be able to share that we watch the show down in NC. The drinks were on point. That Bourbon Peach Old Fashioned was AMAZING, and everyone said their drinks were beyond great. Our bartender, Trinel was undoubtedly one of the best parts of the visit. Well, that, meeting Matt, and Tess Collin's (who in my opinion has the best kind of personality that makes you just want to sit and soak it all in). They were, and are, some of the nicest people and my other half's family loves them. I can see why. We topped the night off with Pizza which is constantly being wood-fired on location and within view. The hot honey pepperoni was just the best! If I lived here, I would be at this location every event and every time the doors opened. You must visit this place! You will be amazed!

The atmosphere at dulu is nice if you are a guest or stopping by for a drink. For dinner guests it was underwhelming. Service was nice but didn't seem to match the quality of the prices. He served up multiple mocktails and cocktails with aplomb and even pulled off a ginger and lychee combination that shouldn't have worked but was delish. Almost everything else missed the mark. Staff should know to de-vein shrimp before sending out skewers. They should also know what "black and blue" means if they're serving steak. Another table ordered it and five staff members huddled around a phone at the bar to look it up like they were searching for Pokémon. The orecchiette had perfect texture, but truffle oil made half the plate inedible. The Persian crispy rice, the dish I was most looking forward to, was a complete let down. The rice was well cooked, but the eggplant filling was nearly flavorless and the meager amount of smoked tomato couldn't save it. The roasted mushroom board was good though we improved it ourselves by spreading leftover s'chug from the shrimp skewers onto the bread and layering the mushrooms on top. It also had truffle for some reason. Why? Dulu has the right ingredients to be top tier. This just wasn't their night. The bartender rescued the evening. Give that man a raise.

The Roosevelt Room in Troy was a great experience from start to finish. I was honestly expecting a standalone building, but it is tucked into a strip mall near HVCC. That said, parking was easy and stress free, which is always a plus. This was our first visit as a party of four, and the service was superb. The attention to detail really stood out and was noticed immediately. Our waitress checked in at the right times, kept drinks filled, and made sure everything came out exactly as expected. Meals are made to order, so substitutions were no issue at all, and it was nice to see gluten free options available. When you walk in, you pass through a curtain and are immediately greeted by a coat attendant who takes your coats, which instantly gives the place an upscale feel. The ambiance is well done, with soft lighting and nice background music. It is on the smaller side and dimly lit, but that is clearly intentional. The menus actually light up, which was a unique and thoughtful touch that fits the atmosphere perfectly. We had reservations and were seated right away. It did not seem necessary on this particular evening, but I would definitely recommend them on a weekend given the size of the space. The food itself was excellent. Everything we ordered was very tasty, and the presentation across the board was impressive. Desserts are prepared by a pastry chef and were just as good as the rest of the meal. It is definitely on the pricey side, but that is to be expected for the level of service and atmosphere. This feels like a special occasion type of place, and in that context, it is worth every penny. We really enjoyed our night and would absolutely come back. There was also a sign mentioning live jazz on Fridays, which sounds like a great added touch. Overall, a very strong 5 stars.
