We had an amazing time at June Farms! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. While interacting with them you can really tell how much the love their work. We did the morning animal feeding and my granddaughter absolutely loved it! We spent a lot of time putting around the beautiful grounds in our golf carts and had a blast feeding the cows, chickens, and ducks with the feed you can purchase at the Pony Barn. We did not eat at June Farms, unfortunately on the evening we were going to, we got torrential down pours which led to flooding.( More on this soon) We did do bingo and had some drinks which was a great time with very tasty drinks! The only negative was not the fault of June Farms, we had a massive rain and thunder storm come through and there were flash flood warnings and lots of flooding happening. We were staying in The Hobbit Hut and it flooded. We got in touch with Michelle and she quickly provided us with different accomodations. As I said, the staff is very friendly and efficient, they really help make staying at June Farms even more enjoyable than it already is. Today, my niece, my nephew-in-law and I participated in the cow brushing and animal tour at June Farms. The farm is breathtaking! The animal tour is the well worth the ticket admission. Our guide is very knowledgeable. He knows each barn animal by name. I truly appreciate his willingness to share all he knew about the farm. We were able to brush and feed the highland cows, visit the ducks, feed and interact with the chickens, interact with the horses, goats, pigs and sheep. Traveling by golf cart, we were able to view the barns as well as the lodgings, wedding venues , the gardens and the apiary (for the bees). The staff are friendly and welcoming. June Farms is the perfect harmony of rustic charm and modern functionality. An absolutely wonderful time! read more

Came here for the $20 pizza buffet on Wednesdays and Thursdays. This may be the best hidden secret in the Capital Region. The atmosphere is a bit chaotic (we made a reservation and no one greeted us or sat us) but the food is phenomenal. Include in the $20 buffet: Wood fired veggies Wood fired pizza Fantastic chicken with onions A mixed green salad They brought out about 4 varieties of pizza all night and the char was perfection. We had a great stay at June farms for a night in early July. We stayed in a wellness hut, which was absolutely beautiful. It definitely is not toddler friendly. We had to block off many areas so our 20 month old could not access them. Maybe a cabin would have been the better option, but there wasn't any available the date we were passing through. Lighting was dim, but you could adjust it. I believe the wellness huts are dog friendly. I was a little weary of the cushion near the mirror. It looks like a dog may have used it as a bed. We loved that it is a working farm and you can walk around any time you would like. Our little guy loved the horses and chickens. You can book tours of the farm as well. They have a full bar there and the drinks are absolutely amazing! Honestly, if we didn't have the little guy with us, this would be a perfect relaxing vacation any adult would dream of. Things to note: bathroom. Shower is open to the rest of the bathroom. Gets all over everything and is slippery. Be careful! Also, there are no window coverings in the bathroom. The huts are backed up to a hill, but we did see a guy up on the hill working while I was trying to shower. We stopped here for Sunday goat yoga. The goats walk all around you in a big open field while you do yoga. Then we had lunch here and walked around. This has to be the most well kept and organized farm I've ever been to. The animals seem happy and well cared for. You can comb the hair of Highland hairy coos. The enclosures are open and you can mingle with the goats and sheep (just need to keep your dog out of those areas). There are goats, sheep, horses and pigs. There are areas for your dog, bee keeping, short boardwalk among ducks, gardens and really cool collection of bird houses, including one that looks like a Winabego. A trip here is worth your time. The property is big and there is a lot of walking between enclosures, so if that is an issue for you, there are golf carts to rent. The food was good (salmon bagel), but I thought they could support a larger lunch menu. The staff are very friendly and all rolled charisma numbers higher than 15. There is a frog themed statue collection with a large mediating frog. Great place! read more

This place is perfection. I knew once I saw it that I wanted to get married there and Matt made everything possible from start to finish. His team is organized, thoughtful and made communication very easy. Our wedding was intimate and even better than we had imagined. They thought of every. single. detail. The grounds are breathtaking and don't even get me started on the Lodge! That place is magic and you MUST stay there if you're visiting or just want a weekend getaway. The Lodge is perfect and has everything you need for a memorable time (hello waterfall shower, stunning patio and the most dreamy bed I've ever laid eyes on!). June farms is a great little spot only 15 minutes outside of Albany by highway located in West Sand Lake. We drove out to June farms for one of their many daily walks. As we approach the holiday they have the barn and grounds decked out with pine bows, garlands, and wreaths. We had picked a great November day, both sunny and clear to walk the premises. Starting out with the horses we had an opportunity to speak with a staff member and learn more about the animals and the farm. As we visited with chickens, highland cows, ducks, goats, and pigs we marveled at how clean and well cared for the animals and the grounds are. This beautiful piece of property has walking trails and cabin rentals. The bar/dining room is open in the evening and the gift shop is open all day. On August 5th I made a dinner reservation for 10 people for August 23rd at 4pm. I was sent several messages to confirm. They sent a text at 1102 on the day of the reservation (so 5 hours prior) to say that they have a private event and are canceling the reservation. He then said it's a rare event. This review is for the farm itself, we didn't eat anything because the kitchen was closed I booked a private tour as part of a birthday gift for my husband. It was perfect! We got to interact with all the animals and got to bring our dog on the tour. He rode with us in the golf cart and got to meet all the animals minus the goats. The hobbit house was probably the cutest thing ever- though definitely small. All the places that you can stay at is on Airbnb. I knocked it one star because we also came for the Halloween costume contest for the dogs and it was poorly planned due to lightning. Adorable place. Came here for a wedding. You drive up a beautiful tree lined road and come to a farm with a red barn and horses to the right. I couldn't find the pigs but saw horses and chickens. The store sold fresh eggs which were tempting to buy. All the events were held inside the barn but there was plenty of space outdoors with heat lamps. I had a chance to try most if not all of the canapés and the beef tartare was my favorite. They were all tasty and had a farm to table feel. Dinner was a buffet style with pasta, lots of veggies and pizza. Once a plate was empty, they quickly filled it. It was nice knowing that not a lot of food was going to waste bc it seemed as though they were firing off the food as needed. The most memorable part of the evening was having Roger cuddle on my lap. I get it -- cute animals, well-maintained farmland, flowers, Instagramable surroundings basically everywhere you turn -- June Farms has clearly identified its demographic and they are spoon feeding them content. I had a great time here -- walking around the farm, feeding the animals (those goats have my heart), picking daisies, enjoying nature -- but when the bartender said $32 for two drinks I audibly gasped. Everything is overpriced, and they can get away with it because of the experience. Will I think about this place when I'm looking for idyllic surroundings to enjoy a summer evening drink? Probably. It's about the animals. The most important thing about June farms is the animal's well being and I can tell that the animals who live at June farms are well taken care of. A lot of reviews mention the price of visiting the farm ($5 per person) as a negative but I personally think it's a fair price once you see how happy and loved the animals are. The goats are beyond friendly and will run right up to you. The horses love human interaction and even the chickens will wander by you to say hi. The staff is extremely kind and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay at June Farms. I am going to give this destination a review three categories below. Stay Gorgeous cabins, rented via Airbnb. We stayed one night in a renovated airstream. It features high end finishes. A sizable kitchen area and large walk-in bathroom/shower combo. The bed was incredibly comfortable! The outdoor space is equally enjoyable. It features a spacious patio, table, hot tub. Just steps from the airstream there is a hammock, grill and fire-pit. The Farm: The farm is beautiful. I have noticed that some people are complaining on Yelp about the $5 entry fee (applicable if you're not a cabin guest) However, it is evident that it costs a lot of money to keep this place as pristine as it is. The prices are more than fair for the experience. The grounds are absolutely amazing, and you can easily spend hours out there with the animals. You can rent a golf cart or go on a quad tour with farmer Matt as well. Very enjoyable. The Food: The BAR IS STUNNING. This place is CHIC. Drinks were delicious. I had a Lavender Collins, it was very memorable. Staff is extremely friendly and goes out of their way to accommodate. Because no review is balanced without something less than perfect I will add that (to me) the pizza was priced on the higher side and was a little softer than my typical preference. I've come to June Farms a few times since moving to the area and it continues to be a favorite amongst my friends and I. This farm is quaint with well-kept grounds. There's cows, goats, chickens, horses, ducks, and pigs. You can even go inside of the goat pen and play with the goats in a large field, which is amazing. Rolling grassy hills with trees surrounding you make the views unmatched and have a great upstate NY charm about them. There are tons of spots to sit with friends, some in the busier areas near the entrance, and some are hidden gems that you find along your walks. The patio is gorgeous with unique table settings and lots of greenery. There's options for covered seating as well if it starts to rain. They recently re-did the big tent so that there is stone flooring rather than grass--really classy! You'll find plenty of spots to take photos with friends or sit and relax willing sipping on something cold and refreshing. Now for the not so good. The entrance fee is always changing. Sometimes it's $5/car, other times it's $5/person, etc. It always changes, and the website does not always accurately reflect these price changes. Kids aren't allowed after 4 PM, also not on the website, which created a problem for my friend in our group with a 2 year old, who ultimately had to turn back. Parking can be a drag if you're not there early, and you may have to park reaaallll far away. There's probably 10 food options? The most interesting of which is the pizza, which is not that impressive either. Didn't drink anything besides water, so I can't comment on drink quality. Overall, this place, while not perfect, is a gem in the area and is well-liked by many. read more

The Farm is our escape - I try to get out there every week for a couple of hours of relaxation via a return to nature and a couple of well-crafted cocktails. The wood-fired pizza in the summer is my go-to treat after walking the farm and visiting all of the animals. I am giving june farms five stars for the setting and getting some of the areas best restaurants to do pop up nights at the farm. The one down fall to the farm, is that it not the best kept secret in the area, so parking and seating is tight if you dont get there early, plan to sit outside at the kitchen area or at mini seating areas. Also its quite expensive for drinks, now I know top restaurants charge a good amount for a glass, but this is a farm and right now a hot spot for the summer. But this is a venue setting that gets you just out of the city life for but a brief moment in time. With the animals in walking distance and chickens walking around outside the barn and possibly inside. Also cute barn cats and farm puppies the visit. The staff is excellent and the music is choice, it's someone play list but it's a great mix. I will continue visit the farm and maybe stay at one of the cabins in timber town. read more

We went here for their Mothers Day Weekend today. We paid $40 per car and an extra $20 to make your own bouquet. You still had to pay for your food once you arrived. The service was self-serve so lines everywhere. The ambiance was nice but crowded. The bouquet was strictly for one sunflower, babies breath, two daisies, four carnations, and three greens. Probably a $10 bouquet anywhere else. After brunch we walked around to see the farm animals, about an hour and a half walk. Overall, it was a nice experience for us and the kids, but too expensive. Driving to work one morning, listening to Z100, Elvis and his crew had just returned from June Farms and was gushing about their experience. I just had to do my research. I was blown away by their website and knew my family would LOVE going there. I booked The Lodge for three nights in August 2024. I had to reschedule. I was unable to do it on-line. I called Matt who assisted me in rescheduling for April 16, 2025. Unfortunately, a family member is seriously ill and we are not able to go to June Farms in April. I contacted Matt, via email, to see if I could reschedule, again. Matt contacted me via telephone advising that he did not have my reservation and nothing was available. I reminded him that he was the one who helped me change the date as I was having trouble on-line. Clearly, he made a mistake. Matt said "you are in luck, however, as we only allow one reschedule and since we do not have you down in April, you can rebook it, on-line, and pay for it." We PAID for this trip in August 2024. Matt said I would have to pay for the stay again, but they would reimburse me. That made no sense and honestly the conversation set me aback. No apology. I lost interest. On March 12, 2025, Matt calls and says "I am calling because I have you down for a reservation for The Lodge on April 16." I said "have you totally lost your mind?" I reminded him of the above and he says "this is why we don't allow cancellations". I said "people die, people get sick, things happen". Matt was focused on money and stated "but you never paid." I said I paid in August, 2024. I have the bank statement receipt. This is a farm. It is supposed to be warm, fuzzy, and kind, and unfortunately I experienced none of that. I have no desire to ever visit June Farm and I, honestly, I have nothing positive to say. I was not going to write a review but the disorganization is unreal and the fact that June Farm is keeping my money is dishonest and thievery. read more

I really wanted to like this place, but it's just not for me. We paid $5 a person just to park. That's insane considering the main draw for me is the bar and food. That being sad, there will always be a clientele for the venue. It's bougie barn experience for the well to do and hipsters to revel within the rustic atmosphere. The evening I went there was a guest restaurant making the food, so I have no idea how the food typically is in-house. That being said, it was good but a bit overpriced for the portions. Drink selection was decent, but nothing that particularly grabbed me as more of a beer drinker than cocktail person. It's a place I might visit once a year and accept I'll be overpaying for the "experience." It's not lacking customers so clearly they've hit niche. read more

Full disclosure: I didn't eat anything here, nor did I interact with any staff (except for a very cute fluffy cat who was manning the checkout counter). All I did was show up, pay the honor-system entry fee, wander through the absolutely gorgeous grounds, and hand-feed grain to the highland cattle. I'm not sure if I can overemphasize how meticulously maintained this place is: you can stand inside the pig pen and not smell any pig. If you want to enjoy a city-person's fantasy version of a rural idyll and give yourself a big dopamine hit by interacting with some truly adorable animals, this is your spot. i gave my daughter a gift certificate to June Farms and we went there yesterday, July 15, 2023. it was a super hot day, nearly 90 degrees so naturally the animals were tucked in the shade and by the fans. After the walk around the grounds we went to order lunch and we're shocked that the gift certificate was not applicable and we couldn't use it. we could only use it for parking and drinks at the bar. This was incredibly disappointing, and down right wrong. I hope the server/chef just was naive and this doesn't happen to others. read more

Located in West Sand Lake, in just minutes from Albany, you are transported to a bucolic, gentleman's farm. Cocktails are served at bar in the Pony Barn. Such a peaceful setting on that patio, watching the fireflies go by. The night we were there, I I had the strawberry rhubarb cooler cocktail- absolutely the taste of summer, yum! Hubby had a delicious negroni. The good offering that night was tacos. There is a food bar outside where you order. The tacos were delish, choices were carnitas, chicken, or veg. All were fresh, bright, and tasty. From what I understand, other nights, pizza is the night's offering. They keep things simple and it works. Had a lovely day relaxing, exploring and eating at June Farms. I have admired this location on social media for some time and made the drive on a beautiful day. First piece of advice, check to ensure it's open. Second piece of advice when it is open, go early!! You pay $5 to park. A drop in the bucket for what you get enjoying this beautiful place! There are grounds to walk absolutely lovely with so many farm animals to see. They're a little vignettes all over that make it absolutely so quaint. There is a snack bar that has kid type food and a restaurant that is absolutely breathtaking. Both indoors and outdoors so many cozy comfy seats to relax sit and eat and drink. You carry the food over for the snack bar and you can order drinks. I had the June Farms beer it was so delicious! While I was sitting at the bar I chatted with Matt the owner, so nice. He's done such an excellent job creating this dreamy space. Also talked to Dee the bartender. So friendly. I wasn't able to take the ATV tour because it was booked so call early! Take a trip here! It's off the beaten path but don't let that deter you from coming to this little piece of heaven. I love what they have added to this spot and they continue to make some beautiful additions and upgrades. I have no doubt it will be a destination event and wedding spot in no time. They have multiple events going on through each season and I heard that you can now stay there overnight in some of the cabins. If you are attending certain events the parking is not free, other events it is. You have to pay at the entrance so be away of that. The drinks are delicious- lots of different specials and the bare tenders do a great job. The wood fired pizza is done really well- depending on the event and time of year the menu changes constantly so if you are going for something specific make sure you check the calendar so you are not disappointed. The animals are beautiful! You can enjoy them just by walking the grounds or you can have a tour on the golf cart, weather depending. I have been here for hot yoga, a girls night and a date night. Personal friend had a minor incident where the lack of communication on the employees end had resulted in a motorcycle injury. Large 1 sq inch blister formed quickly on his hand from having to ditch the road. The driveway is inconvenient for the clientele he wants to bring in.
