April, 2026, our 2016 300 GLC MBZ alerted for low coolant level. I added about a quart of water to continue its use, but scheduled an appointment with TrueCare to diagnose the underlying cause of coolant loss. The upper radiator hose turned out to be the cause. TrueCare replaced it, alleviating our worries for 2 trips to SoCal and one to Reno(from the Sierra foothills). Then a short trip to our local grocery store turned out to be disastrous. When starting the car for the trip back home, it warned to "Check Coolant Level". By the time the car reached our neighborhood, the Temperature indicator had climbed to the red zone, and the warning changed to flashing red "Turn Off Engine!" When it cooled, I checked under the hood to learn that the previously replaced upper radiator hose had come completely off the radiator connector. I contacted Dave, and made arrangements to have it towed to TrueCare. I informed Dave about the hose, and he ordered a replacement. The hose that had been installed had failed, and was defective. This wasn't an aftermarket part, but an OEM from Mercedes. The good news in all of this, is that Dave stands behind all his work with a 2 year warranty. The replacement was done for NO CHARGE!! The lesson here, is that any part can fail, even a new OEM from Mercedes. When a business stands behind their work with this kind of service, it speaks volumes about their integrity. I am 68 and this is the first review I've ever provided. Dave and the team at TrueCare Automotive are to be trusted for superior and honest auto repairs. Our 2017 CRV had blown a head gasket. Dave provided a video of coolant leaking into a cylinder - and removed any doubt. That clarity was not made available at an unnamed Honda dealership Service Department that quoted a very high cost. Dave's original quote was less than the dealership. Upon completion of the repair, the final invoice was substantially less than Dave's initial quote because it took less time in labor. This level of honesty speaks volumes of TrueCare's integrity and community service. The final cost was 25% less than a dealership. 11/3/2020: Checked-in having my Toyota 4-Runner Limited Edition checked before having my truck's smog report. It's always a wise decision having a vehicle mechanically checked before having any other service done to your vehicle due to avoiding auto repair scams making a quick buck raping your financial budget! Anyway, I was afraid my truck was leaking fluid from below the oil pan and also, leaking transmission fluid indicating my truck will have to endure replacing the oil pan gasket or worse, the transmission might have a serious leak costing $$$$! Aside, I must admit, I had to calm my nerves due to the fact, I was seriously freaking out thinking the worst possible, mechanical scenario might occur but then, I recalled I always maintain keeping my truck in a pristine condition. Confidently, I began relaxing in the lobby for about an half of an hour . . . Then, I stood up, walked outside, pacing looking at my truck being inspected while on the lift: My truck's engine compartment was being cleaned, oil changed, oil filter changed, and rotating the truck tires. Afterwards, Dave Long approaches me while nervously pacing back and forth . . . Dave stated he was so very impressed how well-maintained my Toyota 2K, 4-Runner, Limited Edition I kept my truck; I informed Dave I have full intentions operating my truck to 500K miles! Moreover, I'm so enthralled and so very pleased the ordeal inspecting my truck for the worst possible scenario: The last time I had my oil changed was at Citrus Heights Firestone location; the mechanic failed finger-tightening the oil plug which was causing my truck leaking fluids onto my garage floor! Hello all, this review should have been sent the week of Thanksgiving, so I apologize for the delay. I want to send HUGE praise and thank you to Dave and Amy I was in a panic about a month ago, I was on my way to the hospital because my boyfriend had a major heart condition and when driving my car seemed to slip gears. I had no idea what to do. I was suppose to drive to the Bay Area had no idea what was wrong. My pocketbook was way to low and for all I knew my entire engine needed to be rebuilt. I probably would have begged and somehow borrowed the money to pay for any amount.
