The Trade Hotel has to be the best hotel in Milwaukee. If you're in town for a concert or a game your steps away from Fiserv arena. The price though isn't for the faint of heart. The rooms were gorgeous and very high ceilings. You can tell Marriott put money into this property from the bedsheets to the little things you might not notice. The employees were all very friendly. If money isn't a concern and you're staying in Downtown Milwaukee I would highly recommend The Trade Hotel.

Craft is the first floor bar/restaurant in the new Trade Hotel in downtown Milwaukee. It's a beautiful space in the Deer District, offering incredible food and a large selection of beer, wine, and cocktails. First and foremost, our server Shahira was AMAZING! She was very attentive, constantly checking in with us to make sure we had everything we wanted. Our drinks and food came out quickly and always with a smile. We started with the giant pretzel and meat and cheese board. Delicious and perfect for sharing with our table of 6. I had the Shaved Brussel Sprout and Kale salad as my entree, and it was hands down the best salad I've ever had in a restaurant. The large pieces of crispy prosciutto were very flavorful and a welcome (not to mention long overdue) change to the typical croutons. These and the generous sized shaved cheeses were the perfect compliment to the craisins and vinaigrette dressing, creating a refreshing salty-sweet balance. The portion was sizeable and could have easily been shared (although I took my leftovers home and enjoyed them the next day without the greens being soggy at all). Craft is absolutely a winning experience and perfect for date night or groups. Worth going back again and again.

This review is for the lobby restaurant. Visited after a Bucks game. Service was slow but we could tell that would be an issue when we arrived so we put in our order right away. Drinks arrived after our meal. I really liked the vibe and the wings/charcuterie board were solid. The lobby is beautiful and very relaxing. We will definitely come back soon for a staycation and I'll provide an update of the full hotel and restaurants!

Came here with my bestie for a girls night and to check out The Trade. We opted for the appetizers and drinks on the rooftop. We loved that we were able to light the fire, its such a nice compliment paired with the city views. The drinks and food are a little on the pricier side, but they all were very good! Plenty of space and seating. Nice customer service as well!

Craft restaurant...since they don't have their own page... The perfect location for a pregame or concert meal and drinks, IF they can get the service figured out Stopped in before a concert, with a reservation, and was seated right away but waited for a long time to be acknowledged at all and much much longer to even get water. We ordered drinks, apps and entrees right away to avoid future delays. But both of our $15 drinks say undelivered on the bar for nearly 15 minutes leaving the one on ice watered down and the other no longer chilled. Meanwhile there were three bartenders with two clearly without anything to do as they leaned and chatted. Our food actually came out in a decent amount of time (and was when we pointed out we hadn't gotten our cocktails). But the soup came without a spoon but we were told they'd grab one. We actually tried the soup with a fork but it wasnt really warm when we got it and was cold and clumpy by the time a spoon arrived. Meanwhile our check (over $100) has been silently and quickly slipped onto our table without anyone ever asking how things were, if we needed anything etc, which we did as the soda we'd ordered AND was on the bill had never come. After we ignored the bill a while the server did check in and when we said most of the food was good but the soup was inedible it was taken off our check. But when the manager I asked to speak with came over we were pretty much brushed off saying it was a concert night and there were only three servers but he'd have a talk with the server. Mind you at this point the restaurant was well under half capacity, we had made a fairly late reservation for concert time (we didn't need to see opener). No real apology was given and I definitely don't think they cared thus meaning I doubt anything will change. Wish I could recommend because location is amazing and menu is good. The wings, curds deviled eggs and grilled cheese were all excellent. Wings felt like a great value. If only they could have been even a little more attentive or dropped a sincere apology. To me a busy night means slow food, I get that. That was NOT the issue!! With a manager at least one hostess and MANY bussers there should have been someone who could have helped pick up some slack...

This is my second time coming to Craft at The Trade Hotel. My first experience was for cocktails after having dinner at Il Cervo and the experience and drinks were good. So I wanted to return with another friend to try out dinner. Since the food other guests were getting looked good last time I was there. We had 6:30pm reservations and arrived around 6:20pm. The host was able to seat us at our reserved table right away. The restaurant was majority filled (many guests likely were making their way to the Shania Twain concert like ourselves). Ten minutes after being seated our waitress pops over to just say she will be with us in a few. Another TWENTY FIVE minutes go by before she comes back thankfully we've had 35 minutes to look over the menu so we order our apps, entree and drinks all at once. Also requesting to finally get some water... another five minutes goes by and we finally get a carafe of water. I ordered the same cocktail I received last time I went so I knew what it looked like from our table we could see the bar pick up for servers to get the drinks for tables. I saw what looked to be our two drinks so I did a clock check and kept an eye on the situation just due to how our night already was going service wise. Twelve minutes our drinks sat! Likely a little longer even because that's just when I happened to notice because it was taking a while. Our food came out fairly quick (before we received our drinks) with two waitstaff who had no idea what table they were delivering to (yes we ordered a decent amount of food... we were excited to try and review!) they went to a table that had already eaten and then were moving their way to the other side of the room when I spoke up to say "that's ours!". After they gave us our food I asked if they could grab our drinks sitting at the bar! The food all looked really good, we were missing a spoon for the soup and when they placed it down they said they would be right back with one- no one ever returned with a spoon. I also still had not gotten my Diet Pepsi which was ordered with everything else. Food review: Deviled Eggs- they were good- but just okay Cheese Curds- these were amazing- we ordered it with the Cajun Ranch however I can't review that because we were given regular Wings( Sprecher Bbq)- surprised by how many are in the app! We figured 20 wings. They had a nice flavor and weren't super messy to eat which was nice. Also the side carrot and celery nice and fresh and crispy! Chipotle Chicken Grill Cheese- it was good, different type of sandwich then I've ordered before, wasn't super flavorful no intense kick that I was expecting but a safe choice to order. The side fries are good however we ordered it to come with their homemade chips that we were quite looking forward to trying. Beer Cheese Soup- once we finally got a spoon the soup was cold not even a bit warm so it didn't really taste that great. Drink Review: Old Fashioned- was watered down a bit due to sitting but was good Club Clover- was originally given the wrong drink had to confirm with her what I ordered and then told her my drink was still sitting at the bar since I knew it was served in a martini glass- had I not known that I likely would have drank whatever she handed me not realizing I had the wrong drink. It was okay- since it sat it was no longer chilled and I prefer to drink my martinis cold not room temp! Back into our service- a few bites of food in the waitress quickly slides the bill on the table- no words exchanged. My friend and I look at each other like okay.... I look at the bill and laugh because I still haven't received my soda and I thought maybe she forgot about it/it won't be on the bill and I would have just called that a wash. Nope it's on there- so when she popped out to serve the table near us I pointed it out and asked if I could finally get my soda I'm being charged for. At this time we also asked for a spoon again for the soup! When my friend went to the ladies room our server FINALLY asked "how was everything" I told her the food was good but the soup was not since it was cold. She said she'd remove the soup from our bill. At the same time my friend had asked for the manager. The manager came over and said he already removed the soup- we said yes paths crossed and that was adjusted and we wanted to let him know about the not so great wait times - he said it was a busy evening with the concert and he only had three servers. We didn't even get a chance to say several items were ordered wrong. It felt very just pushed off- we understand it was a busy evening but when we arrived several tables were wrapping up and didn't get new guests, the restaurant wasn't at capacity and truthfully small things such as getting a carafe of water within the first ten minutes of being seated, maybe quickly taking a drink order, or checking in throughout the meal a few times would have extremely changed our experience.

Absolutely gorgeous property ! Gabbi and Ryan at the bar make a fantastic team . I'll Cervo restaurant is phenomenal too!! I'm a life time titanium member because I am loyal to Marriott and this is in their autograph portfolio only problem I had was they didn't even acknowledge my status and I got a room with a Veiw of what looked like a headstone! With fake flowers peeping through the snow . Y'all can do better than this I know ! I made reservations well over a month before this seemed like just throw me anywhere type of attempt !

Dropped by the Trade Hotel to visit Il Cervo for a late night drink and good chat with friends. Very busy place on a Friday evening. We didn't need a resy; it was more so if you can find a seat you're in the clear. Upon walking up to the bar, you can really gauge a sense of the decor that was put into the establishment. Very open space with dim lighting to visually see everything and give you that Italian culture and feel. The bar area was a bit hectic - it's clear they are new and still have some kinks to work out. The staff serving the customers were semi discombobulated yet made it work as best as they could. We didn't know where to order drinks from or grab a drink menu booklet. We randomly found some books on the bar table and flagged down a bartender to place our orders. They were made fairly quickly as well. I would say the drinks are moderately priced for downtown Milwaukee but the view is pretty gorgeous.

This place had a beautiful ambiance. There was a bar on the first floor and an Italian restaurant/ rooftop bar in the hotel as well. I specifically went for the views. There were a lot of people here on dates or celebrating a birthday. I cannot attest to the food because I did not have it firsthand but based on looks alone everything looked delicious.

This review is for their bar. We had awesome cocktails and cheese curds. The pull on the cheese curds was amazing. The cocktails delicious. And the service was amazing.

The hotel is large and has a nice ambience. The rooms aren't gigantic but very sound-proofed, so that's a huge plus. The breakfast vouchers are another plus, and the servers there are kind. My eggs were definitely over-oiled but otherwise good. The valet isn't the best at communication, so if they're retrieving your car, make sure you're paying attention and looking out for its arrival.

From the moment I walked in, the lobby was overwhelmed with a heavy, Axe body spray-like scent--so strong it felt like walking through a middle school locker room. I assumed it was temporary and that my room would be a relief, but unfortunately, it was worse. The room smelled musty, like a house that hasn't been aired out in years. To make matters worse, the wallpaper was peeling off the walls, which is unacceptable for a hotel at this level. Beyond that, the overall cleanliness of the hotel was lacking. For a boutique property, I expected a much higher standard, but the space felt worn and not well-maintained. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, and the towels were rough--far from the soft, high-end feel you'd expect. The most concerning part of my stay, though, was waking up at 1:45 AM struggling to breathe. It genuinely felt like a reaction to something in the room--possibly mold or poor air quality. I initially thought I was getting sick, but after spending a few hours away the next day, I felt completely normal again, which makes it hard to ignore the room as the cause. If you have any respiratory sensitivities, be cautious. I contacted the front desk to explain the situation and was told checking out early without being charged for another night wouldn't be an issue. I even offered to return around noon so they could turn the room, but was told not to worry since they weren't sold out. When I returned later that day, there was no note, and the staff refused to honor what I had been told, citing the late checkout time. While I understand policies, the inconsistency and lack of follow-through were frustrating. I also dined at the hotel restaurant, which didn't help the experience. The food was overpriced for the quality--my salad was warm, fries were room temperature, and clearly sat out too long. Dessert was equally disappointing; the lemon tart was buried under an excessive amount of powdered sugar, making it unpleasant to eat. It's honestly a sad day when I transferred to a basic airport hotel--Hyatt Place Milwaukee Airport--and had a significantly better experience. The bed was more comfortable, the towels were actually soft, and even the shampoo and conditioner were noticeably better quality. On top of that, the Hyatt was spotless, which only made the lack of cleanliness at Iron Horse stand out even more. Overall, this stay fell far below expectations. Between the condition of the room, air quality concerns, cleanliness issues, and poor service recovery, I won't be returning.

Thankfully, I didn't experience anything unusual at all. It ended up being one of the best hotel stays I've had. I stayed on one of the upper floors, and the views were beautiful. Waking up to the sunrise and watching the sunset in the evening made the stay even more special. The staff checked in with me every day to make sure I had everything I needed and were always happy to offer recommendations. They even upgraded my room at no extra charge, which was such a thoughtful surprise. The rooms include complimentary coffee, tea, and bottled water, and I was impressed with how fast the elevators were. I never waited more than a couple of minutes. The location is another huge plus. It's right in the heart of downtown Milwaukee, and so many great restaurants, coffee shops, and attractions are within walking distance. If you don't have a car, it's incredibly easy to get around, and Uber rides are very affordable. One fun thing about staying here is that there's always a chance you'll run into someone well known. I was told that every U.S. president has stayed at the hotel, which adds to its rich history and charm. The people staying at the hotel were just as friendly as the staff, and I met so many wonderful people during my visit. If you stay here, make sure to go all the way to the top floor and check out Blu. The views alone are worth it. I truly loved my stay at The Pfister. It was a great deal as we used the $250 Edit credit and $250 Chase hotels credit as it is an IHG hotel. The rest of the hotel price we used Chase points that we had saved up. The booking includes a $100 credit which we used for valet parking and a $30 per person credit for breakfast which we used for two days. I called in advance to ensure a hypoallergenic room due to my severe allergy to cats since it is a pet friendly hotel. On check in the staff recognized my IHG higher tier status and offered a welcome gift of 600 IHG points or a $10 bar credit - we chose the points. We also told staff we were there to celebrate our anniversary and they kindly gave us two drink coupons which we used one evening at the rooftop bar The Outsider. We loved our room on the 8th floor, we had a south facing view with view of the lake and bridge on the left and buildings of Milwaukee. The bed was comfortable for us - spring mattress but soft. The hotel is nicely decorated but the room was slightly worn down in some places and a bit dusty. Perhaps we were lucky when we went and either didn't have neighbors or had very quiet neighbors but our room was quiet. We didn't even hear anything from the rooftop bar but I believe our room was on a different side than where the bar is - the rooftop bar shows a North facing view. The brunch at Tre Rivali had large portions and all the food we got was delicious - hours were 8am-2pm for brunch. I reserved our brunch tables on OpenTable just to be safe but the inside dining area wasn't busy when we went between 8-9:30am both days - a lot of people ate outside. We used the valet parking which was easy to use via their app and we only called our car when checking out and it only took 5-10 minutes. Overnight valet parking is $48 plus $3.79 parking tax. I checked out in person instead of via the app to ensure the Chase credits were used. The location of the hotel was perfect for what we wanted to do - near the riverwalk, lakefront, and many restaurants. Highly recommend this hotel for a nice weekend getaway!

YOU MAY NOT GET THE ROOM YOU PICKED OUT ON THE APP Be cautious that if you book a room on the app before arriving, they might try to put you in a different (worse/noisier) room when you get there, telling you the 'view' is better. This happened to us and I overheard it happening to someone else checking in. The room they chose to put us in was facing the street and extremely noisy. (Not worth the so called 'view'). After unpacking and getting ready for bed and trying to bear it, we decided to ask to switch rooms (to the room we'd originally booked on the app!) We packed up and moved to a room facing the alley, although it still had *some* street noise, it was much better. I think they try to put you in the 'unsellable' rooms in hopes that you'll stick with it. We still had to wear ear plugs and run the A/C at night to drown out some street noise. You might argue that any downtown hotel would have have street noise, but I don't think this older hotel has very good insulation. Read on for the PROS AND CONS... PROS ~Friendly, accommodating staff, really can't fault them. Kathy in the breakfast room is especially friendly. ~Decent location, walkable to the airport bus stop, Avis, Harley Davidson Museum, River Walk, Pabst Mansion. Most attractions were a 15-20 minute walk. For sights further by the lake (i.e. Milwaukee Art Museum), we took a ride share. It would have been more convenient to be closer to the waterfront, but this is reflected in the price. (Which I thought was still expensive!) ~They gave us some drink vouchers to use in the bar as we were celebrating an occasion. That was a nice touch and we enjoyed the atmosphere in the bar and the friendly bar tender. ~Clean. ~Daily housekeeping service. ~We paid for the breakfast buffet as part of our tariff, which was in a dining room with a buffet all but one day (a Monday) when they had us pick off the menu as there weren't enough people to warrant a buffet. Despite the buffet, waitstaff serve your drinks, so factor tip into the price. Try to get a table with Kathy serving you. ~Standard room amenities like iron/board, safe, decent shower, pump toiletries, large TV, mini fridge. ~Three elevators that always came quickly. CONS ~Noisy, especially if your room faces the main road. A lot of noisy motorbikes, sirens, people blaring music. The hotel can't help this, but it didn't seem like the windows were insulated very well, perhaps due to the fact it's an older hotel that's been renovated. I would not recommend staying here on this factor alone. ~Small bathroom. We like to both be in the bathroom getting ready in the morning -- one shaving while the other is putting on make-up, etc. The bathroom was definitely tight. ~When we checked into the first room they put us in (we later switched rooms), the A/C was soooo cold. We couldn't adjust it, so they sent a technician out to fix it. ~When we switched to a different room, the TV didn't work, so a technician was sent out to fix it the next day. ~Older hotel that's been renovated -- you can tell by the popcorn ceilings. ~No pool. ~Still quite expensive for the location/noisy rooms. ~Breakfast is not completely self serve, so tipping is expected. (They take you to a table, take your drink order and serve your drinks). ~Decor has been updated at some point, but is still a little dated. Helpful?

Location, location, location! The hotel is built within a remodeled mansion and has the basic amenities you want in a hotel - AC, WiFi, modern bathrooms, plenty of outlets - while still maintaining its unique charm. I wish there were more surfaces in our hotel for storing my toiletries in the bathroom, a place to set things in the room (aside from the floor), a desk. This may be unique to our room, all the rooms at the hotel are different. Not an inconvenience, more a note to ownership for an easy usability upgrade. We had an issue with our automatic lock keypad at midnight after walking home from the festival. We texted the number and someone responded right away. There is not a front desk here so quick response to offsite staff is critical. The hotel contact was friendly and drove to us in 15 minutes to resolve the issue. Tips if you stay here - a) get pre-reservations at Agency cocktail bar set inside the hotel if you're into libations (including non alcoholic). It's a small space and super fun time, they book up quickly! b) when they offer you a dedicated parking space right outside the hotel for an additional fee, take it. We found this so convenient to have our car in the same spot for the full stay I enjoyed the stay here and would happily stay here again, particularly with any planned downtown activities.

Our famlily loved the seperate stand alone entrance to our loft , this allowed us to come and go and not interfer with the restaurant guests. The kitchen and room setup was amazing. The room had exposed brick and high celings and was perfect for a family of 4. We utlized the scooters to get to numerous places in Bay View and Lake Michigan beaches. We could park the scooters on the curb outside the building and that was very convienent for us to come and go and have a scooter available The Sorella Restaurant that shares the building is amazing , we had a neapolitan pizza" and 2 pasta dishes and it was supurb and a fast easy for guests to have a great meal and not have to leave. This will be the only place that we will stay when we come back to Milwaukee in a few years. Thanks again for providing a wonderfull guest expirence.

God, where do I start?…read more First off the place is sophisticated and well appointed. That's not the problem. I was there on a Saturday night and my room was just above the street, freeway side. There was non-stop drag racing, loud stereos and yelling till 3AM. At first I thought the window was open because it felt so close, like it was 10 feet away. Turns out there's just really poor noiseproofing. They do provide ear plugs but they didn't help. When i complained about it, (everything by text, BTW) they said they had never heard that complaint. The first lie of a series of other crazy lies. At checkout, Rosa said she would talk to the owner and adjust my bill. I thought.... great! Weeks go by and like 20 texts, still no credit. I called and talked to the owner. He assured me I would get the credit. Another week goes by. Finally they said they had issued the credit and sent me some "proof". My name and the words "-$100". What the hell was this? I still had no credit, having checked my credit card daily. Finally, almost a month goes by and I email the owner and say, I never got the credit. He said he didn't have time for this and they would void the credit card "credit" and mail me a check. It's been weeks and still no check. I figure these grifters need the money more than I do so I'll just let this review suffice. Stay at your own risk. Sketchy as hell!

Here's the warning, if you have a car, don't park on the street unless you go on line and get the overnight pass. The parking police here are sneaky and as soon as that meter runs out they're there. Talk to the valet, he can give you the best options for parking. I'm paying more in parking tickets than what I paid for the car. Even with that, this place is worth stopping in and having a PBR.

I stayed here for a work event, coincidentally hosted at this hotel, and the room was top tier. Having arrived late, I made my way into a gigantic room with two TVs and it's own kitchenette. Bed was really comfortable and room was great to get a little work done in as well. Had breakfast there the next day, then walked over to a nearby coffeeshop that was great to have around. The hotel is in a good location close to downtown, even though I didn't venture out on this particular trip. Watching the staff interact at the party, and with me as a customer was reaffirming across the board. They were friendly and helpful with everyone, and really had that energy of going above and beyond. All in all a great spot!
