I have been seeing Devin for around a little while now and am a very delighted with my results. I came in looking to achieve a few things, and Devin thoroughly advised of the different paths that we could take to get them. He thinks about the long term health of your skin and therefore isn't going to suggest extreme procedures right out the gate. He's going to advocate for the overall health of your skin and will gladly explain the facts (not feelings) behind his suggestions. You also aren't going to get generic treatment. Over time, he learns your skin and how it reacts, and he adjusts accordingly. As many of you know, the product/procedure is only part of the puzzle, a deft hand is what makes the difference. He is quick but so skilled and it shows. I have never had any complications from any of the treatments I have gotten from him. I have gotten the Lamprobe which is basically a lost art. Problem pores and spots that I've had for years are no longer on my face. I have also gotten the Plasma and Microneedling treatments both of which were well worth the money. I have loved the facials, with the enzyme being my favorite. He is also very serious about after care and maintenance. You are made well aware of what happens if you don't put the effort in to do the process properly. He has sat with me to go step by step, product by product and come up with a weekly regimen to make sure that I am walking away for the best results. I have been struggling with really really bad acne break outs which I tried to treat on my own for a couple of months. Eventually I developed a giant monster of a pimple on my cheek - literally it was so painful and so embarrassing I wouldn't even open my front door without wearing a mask. For over two weeks it wouldn't go down and I was still having smaller break outs and I had no idea what to do about it so I ended up reaching out to Devin and setting up an appointment for help. As you can see, the prices aren't located on the menu on their website but is part of the reservation system so you can't see the price until you book a service! Dear Manly Men you live in San Francisco so whether you're gay or straight know this... you don't live on Game of Thrones; Winter IS NOT coming so groom that fur coat. I'm not inferring that you should go bald but just do what makes you happy. Devin is amazing. The facts: - Manscaping is an artform, it takes time to do and shaving is a daily upkeep. - Devin is a professional and as odd as this sounds he's an artist. - He knows how to frame your Mona Lisa for full display and then you don't have to think about it for six whole weeks! - Imagine how much time you'll save before a first date (third if you're a gentleman). - It's safe and you won't take a dive trying to contort your body in the right position in the slippery shower. Pain depends on your tolerance but I won't sugar coat it, it's not a massage. Take two Advil before you go and 45 minutes of screaming Kelly Clarkson later you'll look amazing and feel confidant in your own skin for 6-8 weeks. If you're concerned less about the pain and more about getting naked in awkward positions in front of another man then keep in mind, this is that man's career. Devin is extremely professional and we just talk the entire time about events coming up this weekend in SF, our favorite video games -- regular day-to-day stuff. I'm Asian in my mid-30's, and up until 3 1/2 years ago, I never had a problem with acne. One day, I broke out all along my mouth, chin, and neck... It was so painful. I went to UCSF dermatology, where the doctors put me on oral antibiotics and topical tretinoin. Anyways, the antibiotics helped, I took them continuously for a year. When I stopped taking medications, the acne came back 3 months later. I started again on antibiotics, but this time the acne was back, in lesser force, but it was here to stay. I've been a client of the Treatment Room for over a year now and I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. When I'm looking for a facial, I'm looking for a place that will work with me and my skin and help improve it. The Treatment room is that spot. The peels I've had here have been great. Devin will work with you and make sure the peel isn't too strong or if it could be a little stronger. I like that he takes the time to ask and be sure you are getting the right peel and that you are comfortable. The facials are the best and customized for whatever is going on with your skin at the time. Are you going on vacation soon? Did you just get a sunburn? Are you going out tonight? Is your skin dryer this season? Whatever your issue, Devin will take a look at your skin, prescribe something from his arsenal and work with you to get you the results you're looking for. Who knew Asian skin is more sensitive than most and requires more diluted chemicals? Well, she did! Thank goodness for that because I actually thought my skin was more resilient that most. As I've HATED pubic hair for as long as I can remember, and since my girlfriend also asked me to do so, It took me some guts to try Brazilian (or "Manzilian") waxing for the first time. I was doing some research for places near my work, and I also found a Livingsocial deal, so I decided to have Devin to rip some hair off of me. It was an awkward experience at first, I'll admit, but after greeted with some tea and chatted a bit with Devin about my work, friends, etc., I started to relax a bit. But oh man.... I will NEVER forget how painful it felt to rip my hair off around my pubic region. It seriously hurts, but then after you do it for a bit, you start to get the hang of it. At first it felt like a big duct tape was ripping my hair off, but as you do more and more, it feels like a scotch tape being taken off from your skin. As for Devin, he tried to explain the procedures thoroughly and did the best he could to comfort me, since he heard screams of many, many men who had gone through this path. He was very confident and empathetic, which really eased this whole new procedure for me. So, thanks a lot Devin! The reason I'm giving four-stars is, however, is that Devin missed several spots after the procedure was over. I was honestly expecting he wouldn't miss a single hair strand, but I had to point out several spots before I was ready to leave. I also found more hair that he missed after I got home as well. I've been seeing Devin for years and have watched him evolve and grow as an esthetician and healer. He is really talented and thoughtful. Whether you are waxing or having a facial, this is serious skin care. It's not the kind of facial that "just feels good" but doesn't really help your skin. (PS, a lot of "spa" facials are just that - relaxing but don't actually do anything.) Devin's work will improve the quality of your skin over time, whether you're dealing with acne or aging or whatever else. Keep in mind that Devin works out of his own studio. It is clean, comfortable, and relaxing. But, it's not the Kabuki. So if you're expecting a "spa day" with a soak in the tub afterward, this may not be the place for you. I went to for a 60 minute facial here back in January - I had several pimples and after one treatment they were gone. I loved the service, Devin sits down with you before your facial to go over everything and analysis your skin to see what is needed and customizes the facial for you. My skin was glowing and clear and those pimples never came back and that was only after one treatment. D is by far THE best male waxer I've found in SF. 3600 California St. Suite #2- He has The Treatment Room sticker on his door, but don't knock, just relax in the waiting area, and he'll come get you when he's ready. He never misses a hair and his $85. Manzilian includes trimming or removing the pubic hairs above the shaft to your liking, then full wax of shaft, balls, perineum, and inner / outer buttocks. He always has warm, sterile bedding and you feel comfortable enough to actually relax. I've noticed he never reuses wooden wax applicators, (no double dipping into the wax) which is a biohazard and a stupid way to cut corners to save pennies at other SF waxing services I've been too. He is so thorough, he uses a lighted magnifier glass to check to make sure he didn't miss any stray hairs. Afterward he uses the best after waxing products to stop any inflammation. Highly recommended if you are a guy and feel uncomfortable with a girl trying to wax your male parts. A perfectionist. read more

Worst Brazilian wax I've ever had. This girl did not know what the hell she was doing. She applied 3 layers of wax over the same spots because she couldn't figure out how to get it the right temperature to rip off. It took her 45 minutes!!! And she kept asking questions about if I wanted the inner hair removed, the backside. Do you know what a Brazilian is??? And the worst part is, I got home and realized, she'd still left so many spots untouched!. Maybe I was her first client, or maybe this place only has good reviews for men and facials. After waking up one morning and realizing that I only have 4 months until I walk down the aisle, I knew I needed help for my acne flare ups. I did a bit of digging on Yelp and stumbled upon The Treatment Room, I read through the outstanding reviews and felt with this many people finding salvation for their adult acne; then I too should give it a shot. I was able to make an appointment on their website for the following day, which is rare and extremely helpful! Their store front is rather small but don't let that fool you, it's truly spacious in side with a tranquil ambiance. I was welcomed with smiles and offered water, and only waited a few minutes before Devin met with me. Right off the bat I noticed how knowledgeable Devin was in regards to different skin ailments and skin tones. He assured me he would do everything in his power to make my skin glow for the big day. I left with a skin regimen to follow 2x a day along with a follow up appointment for a corrective facial.
