    Rack of lamb
    Brian B.

Stopped in w my son for dinner. Really nice ma and pa place. Has a casual yet semi formal feel to it, old school kinda place . My son had the lobster special. Cooked perfectly, good portion. Was a little pricey But decent for the area I had the rack of lamb. This was a tender and lean cut of lamb that was perfectly seasoned and cooked exactly how it should be. The waitress said it usually cut into chops just before serving it. I asked for it to be served whole so it could rest a bit more. It was absolutely delicious and Perfect. Sliced easily. The sides of mashed pot and green Beans classic sides. Potatoes were made in house and the beans were fresh I live about 40 mins away and wouid go back again

    Prime rib special. Delicious!

Food and service is good. The portions are large most people walked out with boxes. The steamed clams were surprisingly delicious given we are not in a coastal town. The prime rib was delicious! Cooked and seasoned perfectly. I was surprised the prices were high given the town demographics, I guess people here are willing to spend the money for a decent meal. I will be back if I'm really hungry and willing to spend above average for a meal.

The food was amazing we had are wedding reception there 09/28/2024. Everyone who came enjoyed the food. The owner and her son did an amazing job. We was very happy with the outcome and will come back.

Prime Rib Dinner, at the Tributary in Winsted, CT.

We went to the Tributary in Winsted recently for my wife's Birthday. She ordered the Prime Rib diner that night, I went the Pan Seared Salmon. We were very pleased with our meals, everything was stellar. I asked to have red and yellow pepper vinaigrettes to be on the side rather than on the salmon -- I did prefer the yellow one over the red. My wife's Prime Rib was cooked perfectly, she enjoyed it. We ordered two slices of Cannoli Pie for dessert to go -- they were very tasty. Service was excellent also. Overall, we had a great experience at the Tributary and look forward to a return visit.

Bone in Ribeye special. Surprising great steak tender and perfectly medium rare.

Unbelievable food in a quaint Connecticut town. This place has the best French onion soup. Expect large portion sizes!

If comfort had an address, it would be Mario's. We always kick things off with a small pizza for the table, because that's the law here. The bread and tomato relish? Should be sold by the gallon. I would pay an irresponsible amount of money for it. If you know, you know. Last night's table lineup was elite: * One of us ordered the veal Neapolitan -- fresh, tender veal in a vodka sauce so good it should have its own fan club. * Another went for the penne alla vodka with shrimp and scallop, which was hands‑down the best dish of the night. The seafood takes an already top‑tier vodka sauce and somehow makes it even better. As a Jersey boy, I don't say that lightly. * I decided to go rogue and step outside my usual penne vodka or steak. I wanted veal parm. I've never had anything fried here besides the calamari (which is amazing), so I figured: why not? Here's the plot twist: The veal parm was the only dish I've ever had at Mario's that didn't hit the usual Mario's standard. The veal itself was totally different from the fresh, delicious cut in the Neapolitan, and the breading had a little... funk. Almost like it had been prepped ahead and picked up a freezer‑burn vibe. Not bad -- just not Mario's‑level magical. But here's the thing: One imperfect dish doesn't change the fact that Mario's is one of our all‑time favorite restaurants. The atmosphere, the people, the consistency, the warmth -- it's all unbeatable. We love this place and will absolutely be back, probably embarrassingly soon. Mario's is home. Even when one dish misses, the experience never does.

There was some confusion with their dinner special menu and the waitress kept coming back to give us the updated one. It got her frazzled. So, my friend waited a very long time to get the glass of wine she ordered then finally reminded her of it after we received our appetizer. The appetizer was a daily special of Hot Antipasto consisting of stuffed mushrooms, baked clams and mozzarella sticks. All Delicious. We also had this lovely bread and this tomato relish kind of sauce on the table. We really liked that too. For our entree we shared the Shrimp and scallops in a vodka sauce. It was really good. I'd definitely come back here when i'm in the area again.

I've been wkly delivery customer (due to physical disability) for past 5 yrs, and love the staff (owner Ashaad, mgr Lanay, asst mgr Stephanie, Taylor, Laura:)), & love the food:)) They mainly use Slice for deliveries, which contracts out to DoorDash or Uber for drivers (restaurants can choose which one, or use their own drivers, while still using Slice). Sophia's chose DoorDash for 1st few yrs (which had their own occasional issues), & now has switched to Uber (which has far too many issues). You watch your order on GPS Driver Tracker (on Slice app) and see they're literally driving 10 mi in opp direction from you (I'm 2mi from Sophias) delivering multiple orders (& taking an hr to get your finished order to you). Sophia's (owner Ashaad), PLEASE change back to DoorDash drivers (thru Slice), or update your DoorDash menu link - currently I can't order via DoorDash directly because their menu (1) doesn't list salads w/o dressing, & (2) can't leave special instructions, both of which Slice (along w/ GrubHub) allow. Hope to keep eating your wonderful food, but this delivery mess needs to be straightened out asap. Thx. Greg B.
