I bought a new Fuso truck here recently. I had a custom body put together by Heiser. Mac McGuire got me taken care of. What can I tell you, he was really straight up and made the whole thing come together. It was much more involved than just buying a van off the lot, because we had to coordinate the Cab and Chassis with the truck body built elsewhere (by a different company). He hooked me up with a solid rate on financing. I'm giving The Truck Shop 5 stars based on my dealings with Mac and the purchase of the truck. I'm not so sure about having things like aftermarket gas tanks installed. It took quite awhile to get a quote from them. So, we finally agreed on a price and I was about to order the tanks just to find out they weren't willing to install them for at least 2 weeks (even that they couldn't commit to). I'd go somewhere else for that kind of thing. read more

Nothing but bad experiences here. The people at the Service and Parts counter are pretty inept, incredibly slow and do everything half ass. (I'm a former big brand service manager, fleet mgr. and mobile tool dealer, so I've been in a lot of shops). They really gouge on some of the parts prices compared to the Tukwila Mitsubishi dealer (I've found variances as high as +54%). Here's the one thing that really bugs me...The girl at the service desk (in the green GAP hoodie in the pic)....She is NOT knowledgeable about basic mechanical procedures (though she will tell you she is) and she will lie right to your face if if meets her needs. She has no compunction about it whatsoever. Hell, she won't even apologize when she's caught and confronted. This happened to me twice with her. She's part of the family so they won't replace her. Exercise caution around her and get everything in writing. Anticipate your parts needs and order in advance so the parts are waiting. With a commercial vehicle this may be cheaper than waiting for their diagnosis and awaiting parts, attempting to extend the life of a worn part or paying R/R time to repeat a labor operation in the near future. Everything rolls downhill. Personally, I believe the problem stems from the owners. The family also owns a local fuel distributor where, at their flagship station/depot, fully half their antiquated pumps don't work much of the time. They're also known for paying the lowest wages in the area. I couldn't run a business this way, particularly one with my name on it. Sometimes there's more to business than the bottom line. In fact, often the bottom line would be much better with an improved reputation and happy, loyal employees who are treated well. They will in turn, take care of your business and your customers. The owners are not willing to spend the short-term dollars necessary to find this out for themselves, so I anticipate absolutely no changes to their business model anytime soon. I use to go here all the time .. as the years went by they kept getting worse .. I would get a ride and drop of and it would take longer every time ? guess they didn't like me or mt truck not real sure ? a simple service oil change could take a day or 2 ? .. the last time ever there some new person ? filled it with at least 3 quarts to much oil next day at my home big puddle of oil under my truck .. I checked the dip stick and was full all the way to top checked invoice it said he has put 2 extra quarts of oil but I had at least a quart in my dive way and tons of over spray under my truck and back doors took it back and show them the paper work and all the oil they drained some oil out and clean up the engine but some seal's blew out ( almost 3k in repairs ) they said its not there problem .. do you think I ever went back ? hell no ****BEWARE**** read more

Don't ever order parts from these guys. They will tell you one week for a part and it will not come for 5 to 6 weeks. Ordered a part from these guys and they ordered the wrong part. Waited over 5 weeks and every time I called they said next week. No one knows what is going on and blame the other guy. I am at 6 weeks now and still don't have part. They said they are emailing them and will let me know next week. Horrible customer service. Don't pay these guys until they have your parts. Recommend going elsewhere. read more

After our trailer's tire and spare blew out i called this place in desperation. It was 95 degrees out and had two kids in the back seat at 8:30 at night on a Friday night. completely stranded..... Although the guys were swamped with work they agreed to take a look at our tire. They patched our tire for us so we could get to our destination. I couldn't be more grateful. They literally saved the day! read more

I occasionally buy parts from Dave. Prices are reasonably. You also get your parts fairly quick. Dave is awesome.

Over promise and under deliver is this shop's specialty. My poor husband dropped off his truck on a Tuesday with promises that it would be looked at on Thursday and repaired by Saturday. The following Monday night comes around and "we haven't even looked at your truck yet." The following Tuesday (7 days later) comes around and "we will work on it for sure after lunch". Tuesday at 5 pm, "your truck will be fixed for sure tonight". We drove down there at 9 pm to pick up the truck and you guessed it, nothing has been done. The mechanics were "called off the job" to work on another truck that was more important. So our truck sat there for 7 days and nothing was done to it. It is extremely disappointing to work with people whose words do not mean anything and integrity is just a word in the English dictionary. We are glad to see your business flourishing...too bad they don't care about our family's livelihood whatsoever. read more

"Keep In Mind that if you are having custom work done that it can sometimes not be done in a timely manor". I couldn't find any other company to take on the work for my truck but this company. I was a little irritated that it took a month to do. On the other hand I got a really good job, the quality was there and Taylor in the Service dept was really helpful. I am giving 5 stars based on quality not on punctuality. (Punctuality I am not sure what I give (2 or 3). I know that when you are doing custom work it can take longer also remember that companies are really busy in this good economy. read more
