Right off the estuary where we overlooked the many birds, gulls and herons landing throughout the day, we were also able to walk out on the peninsula to the ocean and take in all the fresh salt air, sites and sounds of the beach and gorgeous scenery! Town is within a five-minute walk. The condo is complete with everything from linens to kitchen supplies. Freshly painted, everything is clean and nice. The owner is extremely easy to communicate with, returns calls or emails promptly and we didn't hesitate to contact her if we needed anything. We'll definitely return to this wonderful location! Cons: Walls are extremely thin, you could hear every time someone from the neighboring units showered or used the toilet. So, if you wanted to sleep at 10, good luck as you'll hear the water for the next 4 hours. Dishes in the cabinet are dirty. They stuck to each other. If there's an event happening at the pier, you will hear every announcement. So, I got to hear 8 hours of the SLO surf open. Plug in Air fresheners are disgusting so make sure you unplug them if you're sensitive to smells. Garage: no garage door opener

The building is beautiful and looks like it has been here forever, but in fact is fairly new. The rooms are luxuriously spacious, clean and well maintained, and not to mention very cozy with every amenity imaginable. We were really impressed! It is right in the heart of town. We liked the fact you can walk everywhere for dinner, drinks and shopping. One recommendation is Old West Cinnamon Rolls just down the street and their cinnamon rolls are to die for! We walked down to the Pismo Pier and checked out the downtown culture and cool shops! Parking is not only secure but also free with multiple EV chargers and that is rare. Oh yeah and there is a really cute nursery that is across the street called Pismo Garden Art. Valentina Suites has a very easy check-in/check-out process which also made for a hassle-free stay. Pismo has so much charm and Valentina is such a lovely place to stay to relax.

We had a very wonderful stay at one of their beautiful beach homes this past spring break. Everything was clean with the usual dull kitchen knives and only a few non working appliances. Here's the problem. I get an email a day later after checkout with a picture of a broken bathroom mirror stating her maintenance person found it. She said not to worry because I purchased damage insurance and she just needs a brief statement of what happened. I was absolutely floored as we are the most careful and responsible vacation home renters in the world. I mean I got different friends banking on my family and friends to stay at their own rentals all over the world to help pay for their rental mortgages. If something broke, we would have let them know right away, offered to pay for it and with a gift of sharp kitchen knives as a sorry. This is 2026 and these iPhones now have the greatest quality and I right away went to my "exit" video and photos. I always do an exit video at any stay for proof of locked doors and windows as well as quality of rental upon exit so everything is date stamped. The mirror wasn't broken on my video and the kicker was that there was a hand towel rack with a hand towel hanging on the wrong side of the mirror on their picture compared to mine with no hand towel. There was basically no evidence of a relocated hand towel rack either. Please be very weary and always take lots of "Exit" pictures and videos if you must stay at any of this insurance fraud creating company's homes.

The check in process was unexpected and not clearly disclosed in the air b and b information. It was a bit of inconvenience to have to go pick up and drop off keys. I was called same day to collect a pet fee. I was under the impression it was all included in the numerous 500+ fees. I was never instructed to contact someone to pay ahead. When I got to the property a gate code was needed which was never provided, so I had to call to get. There's two different instructions for check out on in a book and one on the wall. Each had something different. When I arrived to the office there were three females at desk all on the phone and all held up a finger to me to wait a moment. I did, as I heard them banter about a broken garage door. Once that was over I was told I needed to fill out paperwork before getting keys. Overall it was a good stay but I don't know if I'd stay in a home hosted by this service.

My sister and I stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage. The bride's family stayed in the large house and the studio unit was used to stage the hair, makeup and bride's dressing area. The homes are old but are kept in excellent condition. The grounds are immaculate and beautiful. I am attaching photos because you have to see this place to understand its beauty and functionality.

From Website: "The Flying Caballos Ranch was originally owned by the Gaxiolla family in the early 1900's and encompassed several hundred acres. The Gaxiolla's were Swiss immigrants who operated the ranch as a dairy farm; the original farmhouse was built in 1905 for the entire family. In 1952 the guesthouse and studio were built to accommodate one of the brothers who got married and wanted some privacy from his bachelor brother who lived in the main house. The Gaxiolla's grew their own vegetables, vineyard, and orchard. They hunted deer and fished for salmon, all on the ranch. Currently the ranch consists of approximately 100 acres with horse and cattle grazing, a year round creek and unobstructed views of Edna Valley and Islay hill". The property has been completely restored to its original glory. Its a breathtaking vacation rental & special event venu. There are three rentals available including the main ranchouse, the green guest house, and an adjacent studio apartment. We spent the afternoon here the day after Saturday wedding for a family BBQ. I truly didn't want to leave.
