Hands down this is the best place to go if you want the BEST quality custom upholstery work done. Ramon not only sources the best foams and fabrics he also is a true artist with a sewing machine. I tasked him with coming up with a motorcycle seat that kept my butt cool even in the hottest Southern California days, one that didn't burn your skin through your jeans after being parked out in the sun all day. We worked together for weeks researching materials and drawing designs on the seat pan of my street glide. I never imagined that what we talked about and sketched up would come out as amazing as it did. The seat not only catches the eye and matches the lines in my bike perfectly it did exactly what it was tasked to to. Riding today in mid 90° weather normally results in getting a little sweaty but not now, I literally felt like AC was blowing on my butt whenever I was moving!!! In addition to the amazing fabrics he utilized the new foam he laid in was shaved perfectly to my figure and the density of the foam combinations smoothed out any of the bumps and impacts that made it through the touring suspension of the bike. The center armrest in my Accord had developed a "bubble" in the cheap vinyl Honda used from sitting in the sun. I looked up the part at Honda and really didn't want to spend the money they were asking for just to have this happen again with the cheap stuff they use. (Apparently, this is a problem with 2008-present Accords as you can read about this problem on any Honda forum.) I ended up finding a genuine leather replacement cover on ebay and had it shipped to me. Since it was only a leather cover, I needed to find an upholstery shop to take off the old cheap cover and install the new one. Found the Upholstery Zone on yelp and Ramon did an awesome job at an extremely fair price and had I known of his skills, he said he could have manufactured the leather cover too. Very happy with the job Ramon did on the drivers seat for my 2000 Toyota Solara, which had pretty much self-destructed. He expertly matched the dark charcoal color, did the perforations of the center part of the seat, and re-positioned the seat belt guide. I had purchased some custom made sheepskin seat covers for my 2005 Lexus. I could not install them correctly. Little did I know it was going to be a process where the seats are removed , and the sheep skin covers attached, and then the seats reinstalled. I went to the dealer. They would not help. Based upon the yelp reviews I called " The Upholstery Zone". After speaking with Ramon the impression I got was the person who made my sheepskin seat covers had better have made them correctly, as Ramon knew his stuff. It was just installing seat covers right? So I stopped at another auto upholstery place. What a mistake. Not only where their prices almost double what Ramon charged, They would not listen to me, Evan about a date to do the work. They also told me it would be a 3-4 hour job. I had no confidence that they could do the job. I ended up at "The Upholstery Zone" boy was I glad I did. It was obvious after talking to Ramon that the was passionate about this work, knew his stuff and was a professional.
