I came here today and I was greeted by Daniel, the manager. He was very welcoming and helpful. I had to print out the postage labels there and he instructed me to screenshot them and send it the ups email address for this particular store. The whole experience was great. Keep in mind, I did read over reviews before coming in so I didn't have high expectations but after coming in today, I was very pleased and glad I didn't encounter the bad experience others had. I did see the bald Asian guy that everyone complained about, he didn't seem like what people were saying, he was super helpful and even carried on conversations with his customers. He was also very attentive to customers waiting. So I could say he's ok in my books. He didn't help me but he did ask me if I was already being helped. I really appreciate it. Avoid. The rude Asian guy that you read in the reviews here are accurate. I came in to drop off a return with a label and at my usual location I usually just drop it off with ease and the staff will take care of scanning it later. This location I've never been to so I wanted to just ask quickly before I placed it on the pile. He was scanning some other customers package and quickly gave me the worst stink eye and head shake like I shouldn't be talking to him. Another guy proceeded to help me after his customer left and this guy had the audacity to look over at me and continue to shake his head. Excuse me but reevaluate your attitude before you decide to work in the service industry. If you had the time to look over and shake your head, you definitely had the time to respond verbally. A simple yes, no, or please wait was all I needed, not your look of disgust because you hate people. I will never return to this location again. I came to my neighborhood UPS store to return a roll of heavy duty extension cord I mistakenly bought from Amazon. After receiving my scan code from Amazon, I proceeded to this UPS location for the return. The assistant who helped me said it would cost $9.00 for the return to Amazon. I told him Amazon already deducted the cost of shipping and handling. The UPS assistant said the box is not included in Amazon's shipping and handling. I thanked the UPS assistant, retrieved my extension cord and went to my regular UPS store in Rosemead, where they gladly accepted my cord and scan document without further charges. I guess UPS Alhambra, looks for any way to make more money. read more

Poor customer service and employees are robots. Roger, one of the employees is very particular, rude, and doesn't know how to think outside the box or accommodate the customers. He made it very/impossible and difficult for me to pick a package that I had mailed to the store. They require 2 forms of ID, one with a local address (utility bill, credit card statement, bank statement.) I only had my driver's license and my government state issued healthcare license (which was just renewed and had my new local address) since I just moved to the area. He would not accept them and refused to give me my package which had meds and a new debit card that I very much needed. After calling the owner, he also denied my package to be released. Overall poor customer service and can't use their intelligence to overcome a simple obstacle. The healthcare license is a government state ID and a utility bill or credit card statement isn't. read more

I live in Monterey Park, but I didn't use the ups store near my house on Garvey because their horrible customer services. So I decided to go to this store which is 15 mins away from my house. As soon as I came in, they were welcoming me and pack for me, next they ask for if I need a receipt. Totally different from the other store near my house where they charge for my receipt with attitude. This will be my ups store from now on .... all the people in there are really nice. the service i got here was terrible: first occasion: they tried to tell me that they don't have any of those cardboard envelopes (i want to call them "flat rate envelopes" because that's what they are at the post office, but they're not at UPS) and tried to make me buy THEIR packaging. ummm.....no. i know you must have something there, and i'm not buying your overpriced packing materials. then they took forever to process my stuff. second occasion: the lady working there was an absolute bitch. she hands me a form to fill out for my package, and while i was filling it out, i notice that there was no "bill to 3rd party" option, so i asked her about that. it turns out that it was the wrong form, and while she goes to retrivee the correct form, she sighs loudly. uhhhh...excuuuuuuse me, lady. THEN, when i'm done filling everything out and i hand her the package, i linger to make sure that everything is okay. she then proceeds to give me this look and asks "are you done?" in this disgusted tone. well, yeah....but i wanted to make sure that everything got done. ugh. read more

I called the store to see if they have a laptop shipping box, they told me they did. I arrived maybe 10-15mins later and the worker had a hard time looking for the box. He came back with a used box and asked if I wanted the box. I asked if there was an insert for the box, he said no, I replied and said then this is just a box. Why would I want it? This is why I called ahead to make sure you had it so I'm not driving around town. He said the one in San Marino has it. The point is I don't want to drive to San Marino! And if you told me you didn't have it wouldn't even have wasted my time and gas to drive to your store. Not coming back to ship items. Only to drop off returns. read more

I've been here a few times since i live bearby but the last time was such a painful experience i dont wanna come back. I asked an employee to make two double sided color print outs of a document i had on a USB drive. This should take a minute or two but it took over ten minutes AND the copies had weird red lines across them. Each document cost over a dollar to print out. Argh. read more

The UPS people here are so helpful! I went to return my AT&T cable box but forgot my HDMI cable. I went back an hour later and they actually took it out for me and I got the cord back! They even gave me some extra HDMI cords that other people had left behind. read more

This UPS store has the best staff. Kudos to Daniel who is always helpful, efficient, and professional! The girls are great too. We always come here for service, etc and it's always clean and organized. They have a huge load dolly that you can borrow to load or unload, this has been so helpful in making just one trip to and from the car. You can ususally get lucky with parking in front or on the side, otherwise they do have parking in the back too. read more

Stopped by the UPS Store in Alhambra to ship a package back home that I did not want to pack on the plane. Pricing was ridiculously expensive. Asked why it was so high. Rather then just give an honest answer, the manager was rude and condescending. Made it very easy to move on and shop elsewhere. Not customer service oriented. read more

Friendly and helpful service. I had to drop off a package and had a lot of questions around pricing and delivery. She fielded them all with a smile. Looks small from the outside, but it's actually a decent size. Has all the materials you need for delivery, in case you're missing anything. There's usually street parking in front, but if not, there's a free parking structure around the corner. read more

Worst location ever for ups. These guys don't bend the truth, or tell white lies. They straight up give you the opposite of what they claim you'll get. False hope , and to your face lie's. The people who work here are so efficient, helpful and friendly. We have had many documents notarized here as well, and we have always received outstanding service at a fair price. The only issue is parking, but if you go early in the morning, you can usually find street parking. read more

Arrived 3 minutes late and they didn't allow me to pick up my package even if the staffs were not leaving at all. A guy wearing a vest (yes you are right, a vest) asked me to leave. To be honest, I'm not sure if he worked there at all. When I went back next morning, the same guy (he remembered his uniform) did give me my package but this time, he forgot giving my driver license back. So a couple weeks prior to coming to this store, I had gone to a Parcel Center right outside the Costco shopping center in Alhambra. I just wanted to ship my satellite receiver back to DishNetwork in a prepaid box. I didn't tape it up, because I thought maybe they had to check what's inside the box first or what have you. I also thought that they could maybe put one strip of tape to seal it for me. But when I got there, the guy was like... "it's 2 dollars to have us tape it up." So I was like... ok no big deal. Then I pulled out my debit card because I had no cash. Then he was like... "Uh... don't you have any cash or anything? It's a $10 minimum." I said no, sorry, this is all I have. And he just kinda brushed me off "well you need to have it taped up before we ship it." Worst customer service EVER, and he has no people skills. Needless to say I walked out immediately, not even thinkin of other possibilities... like buying 10 dollars worth of tape from them, or lookin through my change box in my car for 2 dollars. WHATEVER. Anyway... I came to this actual UPS store and was thoroughly pleased! The lady working here was named Linda, I believe. She was sooo helpful. I had three big packages to send for Christmas. One to Minnesota, one to Las Vegas, and one to San Diego. I was looking for packaging at first, and there wasn't anything that looked perfect for me to pack it in. So i asked her what would be best, and she said to just bring the items in and she could bubble wrap and figure out a way. So I came back later that day with all the stuff. She wrapped each one w/ care and precision, even though she had a couple customers come in after me. So this is why I only gave it 4 stars and not 5: shouldn't you guys have more than just ONE person working just a couple weeks before Christmas? That poor Linda was handling all the customers herself just 45 minutes before closing. Anyway... Linda deserves 10 stars. I've been here a handfull of times and I've got to say the experience has been pleasing. I use this place to drop off Amazon returns. One time I had to return my AT&T U-Verse setup. We had 5 set top boxes and one main TV internet phone box. Pain free return. I've shipped a dslr lens to be re-calibrated and that wasn't a hassle. read more

There is a middle aged man who is probably a manager or an owner here. He is rude, unprofessional and racist. I came in to ship a package. I asked for some tape to prepare the package. Received an attitude and was told to wait in line. There was no organized line, maybe two other people standing around the store. My aunt came in and asked me if I could get some tape for my package first, I told her what happened and the man angrily looks at us and says "excuse me, do we have a problem here?" I was greeted as soon I entered! The employee behind the counter helped me tape my box to return my modem from AT&T and used the label I brought in to package it. He was very knowledgeable and said that if I hadn't brought in the label as long as I had my account he could have re-printed one. Then he gave me my receipt and told me to save it for three months to ensure its processed and my account is credited for the return! Thank you! read more
