I asked again can you tell me the difference between flat rate. What is flat rate..what I was asking UPS PRICES COMPARED TO POST OFFICE, he just stared at me with an angry face. You lost a customer! I send alot of packages, if he would of been patient and helpful, no he was just angry, he needs a nap or vacation. the WORST experience ever. I brought my package in to drop off, and asked to purchase a box. The person I dealt with was Greg. He rang me up and said that the total was close to $20. FOR A BOX!? He said, "yup." I had to get the package shipped (which already had a shipping label, so, yes, $20 for a box). I got home and finally looked at the receipt. He charged me $9 for the box, and the rest was a bunch of unnecessary packaging. Greg took advantage that I was in a hurry and that I needed to ship this package today. Horrible experience. Service here was quick and prompt! Didn't really get to speak to the service staff as much since my visit was speedily taken care of, but there wasn't too bad of a wait. Only con about this store is probably the location. Parking is a bit difficult. The spots in the front are typically taken already and the spots in the parking garage in back can be a bit far when you have a lot of large packages to walk over to the ups store. read more

Worst experience ever. There's a review of some Asian guy that works here and at about 12:49p Saturday. This dude did the same thing to me! I went in happy and nice then this dude says come over. Then I put my package down and he was trying to scan it and I was just trying to turn the package a little for him to scan easier. Then he says in a loud angry voice "let go!" Geeez brother it's not my fault you work here and hate your life. He's probably single and alone and hates himself. Geeeez I just got my receipt and took off. My God! What if, hear me out, WHAT IF you did your job? I pay extra money for next day Delivery so that I could have some thing to bring to my family on Thanksgiving. I sit at home all day on Wednesday, not running important errands, so that I could be home to except and receive the delivery. Instead the driver doesn't even bother coming to my door but instead leaves a sticky note that he/she was unable to deliver the package. Which was weird, BECAUSE I WAS HOME. Also odd, Since I was able to receive 2 other packages from 2 other couriers. So now I have to go pick up my package, which is weird because I paid for DELIVERY. I go to the listed location to find the 2 workers in the back just chilling away on their Mobil devices. Cool. Does anyone at UPS actually do their job?! Just curious. Guess what? I had to ship 2 boxes to Canada and 2 within the USA. Daniel Haag helped me with my shipment. I, however, didn't realize how meticulous this process was because Canada asks for *everything* in the boxes to be listed. When I packed up the boxes, I was in such a rush and didn't pay THAT close attention to everything I threw in them. Anywho, Daniel was SUPER patient with me as I tried to remember the items in the boxes so he could list it. Even as the line continuously grew behind me with only one other worker at the time, Daniel could've easily grown annoyed at me while I rummaged through my foggy memory of every single thing that I threw hastily into my boxes. BUT Daniel was so professional and kept his cool. Daniel kindly asked if I minded if he could assist the other customers, while I tried to remember, and returned to check up on me- still with such grace and patience. I truly appreciated it!! I usually go to the ups in Pasadena but today I needed to ship out product for my small business. This one was closer, so I decided to try it out. Biggest mistake. My boyfriend and I waited while the clerk ignored us and was on her phone. Only after she looked up and waved us over. I didn't even put my packages down, she barked rudely and firmly " I'm not giving you receipts or guaranteeing these will get delivered". Ok that's great, I'm young but I follow with current events and understand how mail works. What I don't understand is how someone who ignores and works in customer service can be so bothered by simply doing her job. What she could of done or the professional way would of offered me options, but no! She was iterrupted by a customer , I'm so sorry employee. Badly-run UPS store, the owner Tom is incompetent and incredibly rude to any new customers who aren't familiar with his special rules for the store. I asked the owner if I could get a packing slip to fill out while waiting in line, only to have him give an attitude and tell me to wait in line first. Apparently he runs his store differently, and doesn't have slips that customers can fill out themselves; very inefficient. Maybe put some signs up telling your customers this, rather than bark at them in an attempt to overcompensate for your lack of a fulfilling life, Tom. I get to the front only to have him reject my package. What kind of UPS store doesn't accept UPS account numbers? Tom also stated that this was standard procedure across the stores. They're alright. Parking is located in the back of the store but you can find parking out front too. I took two stars off because the lady who helped me out was more interested in eavesdropping on a different customers interaction than with helping me out. I stood in front of her staring at her for a bit before she finished my transaction. My package was on the scale and she just needed to print me out a receipt, for some reason though she didn't push any buttons until I'd been there for about a minute. read more

Giving this UPS Store some much need luv. Customer Service: The employee who helped me today was awesome, to say the least. He was professional, personable, and efficient! I had a complicated request (printing different files with different labels and at various amounts) and he was still patient! A few of the prints were a bit off (since I saved it as a .docx and was using a mac) and he reprinted it for free! Parking: There's street parking right in front of the store. I went today at noon and it was fine. Super easy! However, I can imagine it to be a bit more difficult on the weekends. read more

I had to use this UPS store twice in one day for packaging and shipping. Both times I was greeted in a friendly manner, and both employees help me out greatly. They both researched different prices and options (box sizes, packing materials) and helped me decide on the best choice. They were not pushy at all and I appreciated that. Two things stuck out that made this location exception in my opinion: 1. Daniel gave me a printout that I could look at to compare the options & prices. Then, as I was paying, he noticed I was a AAA plus member and he gave me a discount for that! I had no idea it was even an option. I SO appreciated that. I don't know if the regular AAA gives you a discount so do your research w/AAA first. 2. Denia was incredibly sweet & SO helpful. She made a special box for me to fit my odd shaped items. She saved me a lot of money there & the Co. still made money off the materials and packaging fee. Overall WIN WIN and I will definitely use them for any future services! CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE is BIPOLAR!!! Awhile back I dropped off a package and I had a great experience, today was terrible! I just came from here for another drop off, but since there's no signage for place to leave it, I didn't want to take off... An older Asian man, late 50's, wearing his black ups uniform--doesn't even look up to acknowledge me or he would be right with me. Instead he kept his head low writing stuff down from the customer and I can hear their conversation--it was about personal matters, like who owns this current UPS store, and this guy owns all the store now except the one in Foothill...I don't mind waiting but my issue is first off, stop having private small talk conversations--also they started talking about the customer's bankruptcy that he owns a car rental blah blah blah...yes I'm annoyed because as I'm waiting to simply hand off a ONE small package and be on my way...instead I had the privy to their not so public gossip...so unprofessional. This whole time--this old Asian guy doesn't acknowledge me or even look up. I started to feel like their conversation can potentially take a while and again I just need to freaking drop off, no service needed!!! So I said, "can I just leave this here pls?!" The Asian guy ignores me, at least the customer started to feel a bit uncomfortable and started to move along his personal story. Then a white guy came from the back of the store and I flagged him...hey can I just leave this here? He came up took the package and voila!!!! I walked up to the guy asking him if I can drop off the box on the table, not even asking for a receipt. He did not even bother to reply. Yet he turned over to the person waiting for FULL service and asked her. I had to repeat my question to him on whether I can drop off the box on ghe table. Then he finally told me: LEAVE IT THERE. Terrible services. I went to this store to notarize my documents. My name on ID has different order with US name because of my country's rule of writing name. I explained to the staff, but he did not care my explanation. He only looked at my passport and not looked at other ID like visa and refused to notarize. I went back to Hayward and did notarization there. Everything was done quickly without any problems. At least, he must explain California law for me but he did not.
