I no longer recommend ups. I don't know what is going on with ups, their service has gone downhill over the last several months. Constant delays (not weather related), a recent delivery was delayed 3 times. Delays seem to be the norm now. The photo of this nearly destroyed box was delivered looking like it had been dropped kicked several times. We've had several damaged boxes delivered lately. Also, why are they always filthy dirty - like you don't even want to bring them inside?! Do better ups!! read more

OMG, Apple Valley UPS was a breath of fresh air. Day and night from yesterday's trip and standing in line TWICE at Hesperia Store. Talk about anal and a wasted trip. Three young smiling faced workers, with 2 helping were kind, patient, and so darn helpful. Making two orders (5 Amazon returns) simple, quick and straight forward. Including their suggestion on a great value for packaging. Bless them for taking their jobs to heart! This heat doesn't exactly make wasted trips acceptable (or pleasant), so thanks again. Worst customer service ever. Came in for a notary and a 16 year old looking boy with brown curly hair whom claimed to be the manager refused a passport card as a formal form of ID claiming he needed a state ID. I checked UPS and it shows a passport card as an acceptable form of ID. I called back, he refused to give his name and hung up on me multiple times. You can call the number press 4 to even hear a passport card is accepted. Idk how you can be authorized to notary and not realize a passport is not only valid for this state, AS WELL, as all 49 others ??? read more

I went to The UPS Store to mail something out. But while in line I noticed a man that was confused about a return he was doing for amazon, he was very frustrated and scared seemingly. I was at the UPS store today, and Hunter, one of the managers, was "waiting on" an elderly man who was trying to return some thing from Amazon. The gentleman, 1) was hard of hearing and 2) did not understand the process of returning something to Amazon on his phone. Hunter was not only disrespectful and annoyed with this man but when I suggested to Hunter that he learn to be patient with the elderly, he raised his voice at me and told me to leave the store. I just renewed my mailbox again for another 6 months. I've been there 1 year so far. Every time I go in, I'm always greeted with big smiles. Interacting with the people who work there can change the rest of your day for the better. Sometimes, the store can be really busy, and the line can wrap around the inside. But the employees are very efficient and fast while not making mistakes. The line may look intimidating, but no worries, they'll have you out fast. That is unless you get stuck behind those 1 or 2 people that didn't box their stuff, or they need a box, AND they don't have a label or address written down and insist it's on their phone "wait a second, I know it's here in my email somewhere. You all know "that person." Nobody likes "that person, " so don't be "that person. " So yes, it's a great place to do business. read more

Stopped in to get a Live Scan service for a new job. I was informed that that service wouldn't begin for about 20 minutes. I went to a few local stores to handle some other errands. I have a love/hate relationship with this UPS. While returning amazon packages are a breeze here, the lines get insanely long and there will be only one clerk and two others standing in the back talking that can help out. Next is wearing masks, there is a sign in the door that states masks are required in order to enter the store, but they do not enforce their own employees to wear one. That was very discouraging to see. I wish they stayed open a tad later since they close right at the time majority of people are getting out of work during the week so it's tough getting there before they close esp with traffic. Other than this I don't have any complaints, I'm mostly in and out. The employee today (4/23/21 at 5:40 pm) not wear a mask was really really bothersome. Doesn't matter if it's still close to closing, you have 6 customers in the store all wearing masks and someone at your counter. Wear a mask. UPDATE: after leaving my 3 out of 5 star review yesterday , I had a nasty message sent to me on here from "Rose" the business owner stating that I was lying because I stated multiple numerous employees weren't wearing masks.. when I only said that ONE was not wearing a mask and that you should enforce your EMPLOYEES to wear them, because ALL of them should be following safety protocols. Duh. Then she proceeded to say how it's unfortunate I feel the need to blast her business when again I have an honest review and it wasn't mean, hurtful or wrong. If you cannot handle criticism that isn't perfect then you really shouldn't be a business owner. I have never ever had a business personally wrote me a message after leaving a review to speak to me like that! After reading that childish message and insulting me, I now am changing my review to 1 star. You don't treat customers that way. The Christmas season is here and everyone is packing up the post office so to avoid that mess I use UPS. The cost is just a little bit more than the post office but they don't have any long lines and I've never had any lost packages. If you need help packing up your items they can help you with that. They sale all of the basic shipping supplies that you will need to send your package. The shopping supplies are expensive so I recommend going to office max or staples. They do a lot of business shipping and it is easy for businesses to run in quickly. I also see businesses here shipping things out and having ups do the packing for them. On a side note I love my local delivery guy. He deals with my constant online shopping addiction and hikes up and down my long driveway. read more

I would give no stars if I could. Thursday Aug. 31st I called the store to get information about a live scan service for fingerprints. The automated message said the service is available mon-Fri until 4pm. It said to stay on the line if you had further questions so a waited to ask about fees and double check I didn't need an appointment. It rang at least 20xs then someone picked up and immediately hung up. I decided to just go there so Friday, I live almost 30 minutes from the store so I arrived about 2:10, there was a bright orange note on the door that said sorry notary not available Fridays. I checked for any signs regarding live scans because there was at least 10 people in line and I didn't want to wait if the service was not available. I finally got to the front and the girl told me they were short staffed so they stopped doing them for today but I could come back tomorrow! I was livid because "why no sign" and wasted time! I left and called the Victorville location and explained the situation. She assured me regardless of how busy they were the service would be available til 3:30. Because of traffic and the time wasted at the other location plus standing in another extremely long line it was 3:25 when it was finally my turn. The girl was so friendly and helpful and I apologized for coming so close to deadline but she assured me there wasn't an issue and helped me get my service completed. She also said she didn't think the other location was supposed to refuse the service. I decided to email the store in case their employees are doing things they aren't supposed to. Well, today I got a response that said sorry for the miss understanding because of staffing issues (or something along those lines) we are doing the live scans from such and such time to 1:00pm and from 3-4pm and we have a sign on the door. Which was a flat out lie! They may have a sign now but they didn't yesterday because, again I thoroughly checked. Also if that was the case why was I told they were done for the day and to come back tomorrow and not between 3-4!? Also when she told me to come back "tomorrow" if they aren't doing the scans between 1-3 why wasn't I told? What if I had returned today between 1-3? Would I have been turned away again! Don't waste your time going here. I will definitely be checking to make sure the same owners aren't for the Victorville location because even though they did amazing, I will not give my business to people who lie and don't take customer service seriously. read more

My husband and I have been doing business here for many years. We are always greeted with respect and courtesy regardless of who waits on us. I walk with a cane and if I need help to my car with packages I have never been turned down even when they are very busy. I too have asthma and have difficulty breathing with a mask covering both my mouth and nose for any length of time so I tuck the top down a bit to access oxygen. These are trying times for everyone and I believe it isn't just the store owner and employees that need to show courtesy and kindness but the patrons as well.
