My grandmother came to this location to shop out a return from Amazon, and the service she was given was worse than the US Post office. There was a man and woman workers who were the rudest I have ever seen in customer service. I own a salon and have been in the customer service industry for 15 years now and know how challenging it could be, especially during the holidays, but my grandmother had gone in to ask exactly what they needed for her to return the items, as she has never done that before. They answered her in the rudest tone to "figure it out for herself", and to "leave because she's holding up the line". Safe to say she won't be going to that ups location again. If you can't handle, or don't know how to handle the overwhelming factor of customer service, ESPECIALLY when the customer is asking questions, then go find another job. I drop off my packages that are prepaid postage here all the time. Normally if I don't need a receipt a counter person takes my package if the line is long. Today the line was out the door. I asked if I needed to wait in line or if they could just take the package. The counter person said. Sure if you can trust us to not lose your package. I asked where I could put the package. She said just set it down anywhere and pointed to the middle of the store. I couldn't wait so I left without shipping it. She could have said something like we prefer you wait in line. Or just about anything else. Very unprofessional and rude. If I knew who the manager was I would definitely be calling. read more

The young brunette lady working today was rude. I am also pretty sure she was a tad racist and chose to focus on her white patrons rather than me. She spent more time talking to the two people that were there rather than being efficient and get people in and out. I only had to drop off 2 packages. When I told her I was in rush, she said "I'm still helping him". The guy was trying to print a long piece of paper into a small enough piece and fax it out there. Luckily, the guy was super nice and said she could help me first. It took less than 15 seconds for her to scan and take my packages. That definitely takes a lot less time than what she had to do with him. I think she's a terrible worker who might be slightly racist. 10/10 should fire. Won't be going back here anymore. read more

Absolutely WORST UPS EXPERIENCE Iv ever had. Came in to drop 2 boxes off for return. We were being helped by a woman with short blonde hair, who behaved like your typical "Karen" so disrespectful, seemed to have 0 customer service experience as her attitude was atrocious. Extremely helpful! So um yeah, was being a typical guy and ran into the store with my ass on fire over some papers that had to be stirred and wirred to satisfy yet another random daisy chained jeramiah bang-bang requirement of my Humorless Lending Bot for a flippin loan. Take the loan they tell me...it'll be easier and faster than moving your cash they said. (Obviously they haven't met my associate Thug E. Bear; The Paper Sack Lender) But since there were certain 'regulatory' 'rules' and all I went with their idea and started off checking off boxes. And more boxes. Filled into boxes. Tried to abide. Long story short, @14 minutes before deadline, I'm just full-up on squares and rectangles to the point where I'm trying to place my iPhone face down on a copy machine to make a MF screen print. At this point, the kindly ladies of The UPS Store gently let me know that I could - just think about it - email the document to them and they would be happy to print it proper. Whoa. Trippin Amazeballs. They got me in and out in under 5 minutes with their female witchcraftery. Great Oden's Daughters....what spell shall these mimeo-vixens of North Auburn cast upon us next??? Do NOT ship from here. Complete rip off. We needed six fishing poles w/o reels shipped to Louisiana. We were told cost to make a box was $22 and total to mail was $183!!! Believing this to be outrageous, my 75 yr old husband came home and quickly created a very sturdy mailing box 5 in by 5 in by 83 inches. We called US Post Office $86.40 Fed Ex was $34.10. These UPS stores are pointless... they can't ship certain things and will send you all over town to other UPS locations that will do the same. Such Nice people who run this place! Excellent customer service! I've had to ship odd shaped stuff and the guy built a special box for me! they are always really fast and pleasant, even when you can tell there are a bunch of harried customers in line. That being said, there is rarely a wait - they have a good sense of when they need more staff manning the scales (that means during holiday season!!). DO NOT use this store for notary services, especially if it involves an application for a passport. I needed to get passports for my two daughters for an upcoming vacation to Mexico. I needed to get forms notarized which show my ex husband and current husband give their permission for me to apply for our daughers' passports on their behalf. The form is pretty simple and straight forward. The manager is the one who initially handled our paperwork, and she FAILED TO SIGN the original form, which made it invalid when I presented it to the passport office. I then had to return to the store on another day (another day off of work and my daughter missing school) to hopefully have this fixed and another employee simply re-notarized the form and signed it, although the dates which the fathers signed the forms then did not match. When I asked her if this would be acceptable, she stated "Just lie and say they were here". Well, low and behold, we expedited our forms and I just received notice that our application is on hold because the notarized form attached does not have matching dates. I now need to begin this whole process over again (obviously with a different notary). They have been completely unprofessional. When I called to speak with the manager the first time after realizing the first mistake she told me she did as she was taught and that I should look up the procedure and inform her otherwise. And, her employee who helped us try to "fix" it wanted to charge us again. After I received today's notice from the US Passport Agency regarding the mismatched dates, I called to speak with the manager again and she was extremely rude to me. She insisted that she had done her job correctly, but when I said "You DID NOT SIGN the form", she finally said "yes, my mistake" but insisted that she knew better than the Passport agency on how the forms should be completed. A side note: they would also not let my 3 year old use the bathroom while we were trying to get this fixed on our second visit as she was crying stating "Mommy, I need to go pee now" and we were in a rush trying to get back to the passport office before they closed. Another side note: the agent at the passport office said she has had to reject several forms from this notary due to them being done incorrectly and said she will be reporting them. read more

I really hate to give a business 1 star but this morning was the second time I showed up at 8 am and the employee was not at work yet. They open at 8 am. I am not sure if the business owner knows her/his employees don't show up to work on time. I waited for 15 minutes by the front door and saw several people drive off frustrated because the employee wasn't at work on time. Who knows when they actually showed up. read more

Went to ship back items to Amazon Prime and explained to the young man working the counter that I believe all items are going back to the same processing center but won't know for sure until bar codes are scanned and return address checked...and if they are we can just put them all in the same box with the scans inside. He scanned the first one, printed out a label. Scanned the next bar code, printed out label at which time I said are they going back to the same address/return center and he tried to explain to me that it doesn't matter what the label says. I said okay pay attention here, if they are all going back to the same processing center we don't have to waste more tape, etc. His response was "Sir just let me do my job" and at this point I just gave up trying to get understanding of what I was explaining. "Had he been doing his job he would've listened to what I was explaining - I am the customer. I've noticed over the last 2 years that this location goes through a lot of employees so either their hiring practices are poor or leadership is weak and/or BOTH. I only go to this location because it is closest to the business I own. If one of my crew responded to a customer with "Sir just let me do my job" they would be saying that at a different place of employment. read more

Went in today to ship Christmas packages. There was one other person in line. I was greeted and cheerfully told be right with you when I walked in. The lady working was very helpful. She picked out the size box I needed, placed everything inside and added packing material. She also filled out the shipping label info and verified that the info was correct, and gave me several pricing and shipping options. I will return for sure and would recommend using this location to friends. I had read some of the older reviews, maybe they hired new staff members, because the customer service was exceptional today! read more

I hate to complain but The UPS Store advertises a Notary Public on duty at all times. I have gone in three times now to have a form notarized and they do not have a Notary on duty. Today was the last time I will go there. I called in advance and they said they would have one there at 10:30am. I had my brother come 40 miles to meet me there at 10:45 (to give them an extra 15 minutes to get there). When we went in, the gal announced the notary would not be there until 1:00pm. Useless. When I need it, this place is always closed. I work Monday thru Friday during business hours. Places like this in neighborhood strip malls should be open Saturday and Sunday like all of the other stores in there. Note, their hours say they're open Saturdays from 9-5 but they're NOT. Do NOT go to this UPS store. This place is a rip-off. My fiance went to ship a couple ATV tires that he'd sold online. He'd shipped the same type of tires before via UPS, but used a small hardware store to do so, instead of the UPS Store itself. That shipment cost $30, so we were expecting around the same to ship these tires. The girl that works there is never friendly and to make matters worse she quoted us $102 to ship the tires. $102!! Needless to say, we left! He went back to the hardware store that he'd shipped the other set of tires from and did so for $48. There is something sketchy going on at this UPS Store. So bad customer service + outrageous shipping quotes = DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!! read more

I went into this store yesterday to pick up a UPS package for myself that had an incorrect address on it. UPS was going to send it to Rocklin but I could not get down there and I needed the package. UPS (call center) was kind enough to direct it to the Auburn Bell Rd store. The package was to be there at noon for me, I got there at 12:50 so it sat there for a mere 50 minutes. The worker there said I had to pay $5 to pick up my package. He said that they charge $5 for a small package and $10 for a large package, that's their policy if you pick up a package there. Didn't I already pay shipping? What kind of customer service is that??? This is not a UPS policy but a franchise who apparently can make up their own rules. These are not Americans who own this place either, which bugs me just a little more. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS HERE AGAIN and I hope you don't wither which is why I wrote this. Thank you. read more
