I have used their services eight or so times over two years. Very minor errors you would expect from any good company that experiences rushes of customers. Customer service has always been excellent and I would recommend them to others. Goes the extra mile to box packages well. Good recommendations for shipping challenges. this store used to have good service, back when a guy name George owned it. There is a tall guy with glasses and long hair who has a lousy attitude, can be quite rude to customers. Not sure why the new owners kept him on. Also, now if you send an email to the store and want to go there and have it printed, you need to wait 24 hours after you send it. This is to give them 'time', even though this place seems to be empty half the time. I've found another UPS store that is located farther away, but much better customer service. read more

Went to ship a package and I was all over. Didn't find anything. Not even the address that I was sending it to. They guy was very patient and never pressured me in any way. I really enjoyed going there and everything turn out to be so good. Needed to go back and add some stuff to the package and he was very helpful AGAIN. I will use this store again. I've been using this UPS Store since 2004, and I have never had a bad experience. In fact, this UPS Store with Tim as an employee has convinced me to do business with the UPS Store no matter which city I am in at the time. I travel quite a bit, so that is a lot of activity to the UPS Store, and I have to give the credit to Tim! He's always helpful and efficient, and he lightens my day with his sense of humor. His sense of humor can be dry at times, and I believe that some people can take what he says the wrong way because of that. [Hence the negative reviews that point to him.] But in all my years with Tim, I have only seen that he is just a great guy - there is not a mean bone in his body. He is kind, and funny, and sweet. And extremely knowledgeable and proficient. I know that my packages and mail are going to be well taken care of, and that I will get top service. Now, don't get me wrong - not every UPS Store is like this one. I have been to ones where the employees are not helpful and don't have good attitudes, and it makes a difference. But not the Mesa UPS Store! As long as Tim works there, I will be going there - he's great! read more

If I ever have to use UPS, this is the store I'm always going to go to. Today I was returning an Amazon purchase. I had my baby in an infant carrier, my purse and a box. before I could even get out of my car, Tim was standing there asking to help me with my box. He was very generous because I'd forgotten tape to tape up my box and he was just so kind to open the door for me when I left. I don't remember the last time any business owner showed me any kind of customer service like that! read more

I went there today to ship a pre-paid package. I already pre-packaged the item and the only thing missing is top of the box is not seal with tape. It requires less than 1 foot of packing tape to seal it and I thought The UPS store would spare some tape for me to seal the package. They want to charge me a "packing fee" for them to tape it or have me buy a roll of packing tape to seal it myself (cheaper option, as they claimed). All this for less than 1 foot of packing tape. Base on principle, I left and took it to another shipping store whom happily taped it for me for FREE. Will definitely NOT go back to this place again. read more

Just went through a very delicate and complicated shipment of an ultra-fragile 1902 26" glass platter from Austin to L.A. George PERSONALLY built a crate to safeguard the platter - with layers of foam core and bubble wrap and MORE foam core and cardboard and more foam core and a plywood and pine crate he created with his own two hands ensured that the platter arrived in perfect shape. Amazing!!! Super impressive! This guy takes the responsibility of shipping delicate antiques seriously. read more

George was straightforward, professional, and clear... and a bit of a smart ass, which I greatly appreciated. ("Will the world end if it doesn't arrive tomorrow?") He also appeared like a good boss to his co-workers. Recently I requested bids from moving companies online. I was discouraged by the negative reviews each had received, either for unexpected fees or for damaged or lost belongings--or both. Finally I contacted George G, owner of the UPS Store on Mesa Drive in Austin, TX--thank goodness. He was responsive and helpful, and because of his high standing in the community as a long-time successful business owner, my confidence in him was high--and, it turns out, well founded. He picked up furniture and paintings from my house, packed it all carefully, and shipped it from Austin to the DC area. The pallets were delivered exactly as promised and on time--exactly 8 days after pick up. My daughter is as delighted on that end as I am on this end. i go to this store nearly daily as i have an online business and it's often the highlight of my day. Tim Veillon and Nikita Amin are pure delight and they always help me decide which is the best and most efficient way to ship my packages, even if it means a trip to the post office! The store is always clean and bright and is open when it says it's open. i receive a lot of positive feedback about the packing that Tim does and I have never had a single complaint about cost, time delivered, or packing in hundreds of mailings. i would easily recommend them and the store to anyone. read more

User beware! Horrible customer service. I got berated for having questions and not understanding my poorly explained options for sending packages. When i asked if this service was an inconvenience to the employee i was told repeatedly "I'm just trying to communicate with you man!", he said in a loud voice. not sure what the problem was but what ever happened to "the customer is always right"?? or just common courtesy ... and all this with the manager standing next to the employee as you spoke to me with complete irritation and contempt. I had to leave just to diffuse and bad situation. oddly enough i went to the post office after that and got an 5 second explanation on my options and was able to get my business completed. do yourself a favor and look for another some other option. read more
