I visit this store a lot. I usually have documents to which need to be printed out and also quite often drop off packages. If I need help with image adjustments, someone from the young staff is right there to assist me! The paper used in the printer and copy machines is of premium quality. The place is always clean and well organized. Even though, at certain times it is very busy, customers are always helped fast and efficient, so there is never a long waiting time. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. The individual by the name of Jennifer is by far the most rude of them all. She tried to charge me nearly $25 additional for shipping because they are "NOT UPS", rather, a franchise and they don't have to honor the pricing that you purchase online. When asked for further clarity about the store not being UPS and the upcharge for shipping, she stormed off saying "I'm not going to stand here and argue with you about this, because I just told you what you need to know". As she walked away, she got on her cell phone to presumably check her Facebook while whispering to a very nice clerk (Dorsy) that she should deal with me...just because I wanted more information behind the up-charge. It's only natural to question such a difference in cost. Dorsy even questioned Jennifer when she checked me out because the cost for my shipping was what I originally expected. Well, they were alright. I had my fingerprints done. I dont think the staff were very friendly. The manager though was very helpful. the staff was forcing me to include my address on the form when the form clearly states that it is only required for youth org and other special circumstances. I did not like when they cannot follow the instructions written on the paper. They asked me for my phone number, too which was not even required. read more

I go to UPS to mail,fax, notary stuff, and photocopy stuff all the time. I have never had any problems with the staff being rude but they aren't over friendly either. The prices to ship stuff is high and the price to fax stuff is too much. The price for copies is ok. read more

Have a PO Box with this location. They called to say there were boxes to be picked up. I was out of town due to family member in the hospital ands I sent a friend to pick up the boxes. They only gave her 1 of 2 boxes. Then they called back to say they were sending the 2nd box ( they said they didn't have when my friend was there) back to the sender who was out of the country. So I called my friend who went back to get the box a 2nd time and the manager was very rude to her. When my friend asked for the owners contact information the manager said no and then called the police ( tax payers money not well spent). I then spoke to the owner and informed him of their mistake and the manager's erratic behavior. He was also rude and said he didn't care if I reported this incident to the BBB or to UPS HQ. This store is a big waste of time and money I will never spend another dime here. Employees are rude and not helpful one bit.

I constantly order things online & lately UPS has been dropping off my orders at a random neighbors house. Luckily I have some good neighbors that return the items. So now every time we order something we write specific instructions for UPS to get the delivery right & they still can't get it. This past Christmas my girlfriend ordered several gifts for me & I didn't get any because they all got lost thanks to UPS, we couldn't even get a refund for all the money my girlfriend spent. Just today I received a box from UPS in front of my gate that belongs to a guy named Diego Vazquez from Greenfield Park Dr. UPS employees don't even bother to make sure it's the right address so every person gets the correct order & it doesn't get lost. I had a mailbox here for 14 years that I used for my business. I always enjoyed the people who worked here. They always did a great job. I used to get discounts for having been a long time customer. Two weeks ago I called to check on a pkg I was expecting and the young man told me my box was locked and had expired Feb 6th. I went in to pay for it. A young girl was helping me until a red headed female, who said she was the mgr. took over. She said she'd been trying to call me. I asked her for the 3mo and 6 mo prices. I also asked her what number she was calling because I had not received any calls. She said, let's get the payment and then I'll tell you the number. So she quoted the price and said there's a $10 late fee. I asked if it could be waved and she staunchly said "no!" I found out she had an incorrect number she had been calling and she argued with me for a long period of time about that. I finally asked if she had a boss I could speak to about waving the late fee because I had been a good customer for 14 years. She said, "i don't have a boss. I run all the stores in Bakersfield." I said, everyone has a boss. How about a corporate number. She refused to give me a corporate number. I said, so you're willing to lose a good customer over $10? She said those are the rules and I'm not waving the fee. I told her I wanted my mail and would pay her whatever I needed to and would just close it out. She refused to do that. I told her frankly what I thought about her "boss attitude". She didn't like that and said she's closing my box and returning all my mail to sender. I left. I found the corporate number myself and finally got through. Customer service took a complaint and said the owner would call me back, which he never did. For everyone complaining, buy postage online and just drop the boxes in the store here. Cheaper and hassle free. I never had problems when I buy postage online. I was once charged more when I bought iPad postage in store here. Not all employees were friendly but who cares anyway, just drop the package! I have read some negative reviews. But I needed multiple services and this location was convenient. I needed to have several 2 sided documents copied, one document notarized and then all of them mailed/shipped with tracking. This store could do them all in one place. I went in there yesterday to drop off a prepaid box. I didn't have it taped because the last time I went to a UPS store, they had tape there I could use. Before the girl tapes it up, she tells me it's a $1 for them to tape it up... Ok.. I tell her I've been to UPS before and they have never charged.. she said it's a "new policy." I say fine, since I needed to get it mailed out. I could have walked over to the Dollar Store and bought my own damn tape. Then as the other employee is putting my prepaid tag into the UPS sleeve, I remind her that there was a separate sheet that needed to go into the sleeve.. and she says rudely "if you give me a minute." Well excuse me.. she never even acknowledged it was there so I wasn't sure if she saw it. Then, they go to ring me up. And that's when they tell me that bc my box is too big to fit on the shelf, I would have to pay another $1. Wth?! Bc of the size of my box? Then she rudely says, "This is a USPS box, and as a service, you have to pay me $1 to take it to the post office bc it's too big to fit on the shelf here." or some nonsense like that. ?!? I was extremely pissed at this point. Again, never was charged before for this same size box. I said if I would have known that obviously I would have went there (USPS). She points to the policy, which is behind the counter and 5 feet to the left of the register..where noone can even see it. I say well it should be there, and point at the door. That way we would known the mess that we're walking into. Why wasn't I told that my box was "too big" upfront, not when you tape it up, then add on another expense. They were so freakin' RUDE it wasn't even funny! As I walk out, pissed off, they say have a nice day or something..what an oxymoron. Esp when you gave me nothing but your foul attititude. If I could have given her my reply, I would have been much happier. Management needs to whip their employees into shape, tell customers upfront everything they will have to pay for, and get an attitude adjustment and stop treating their customers like TRASH! UPS nickles and dimes you for everything, when it would be free to send it thru USPS with your prepaid tag. I'm not sure what this "policy" in the store says, but I'm pretty sure it's a paragraph just stating that the employees can charge you whatever they want under their discretion. I tried to find the policy on the UPS website but didnt feel like looking thru all the crap and policies on there. Go somewhere else and spare yourself! Please! the ups store has been around for many years. although I have seen many new faces, everytime I walk into this store I always get exactly what I need and more. these girls are so full of life and as busy as they get they can multi task fast to get customers in and out. everytime I've had problem it has always got resolved. even with all the new people and new policies each and everytime I have felt welcomed. as to the review I have read about this store id totally disagree. if only people could understand how hard these girls work.
