The local UPS store is nice and close and never ever crazy busy. The had a USPS drop box out in front as well so that you can get both delivery services covered! Unfortunately they at least used to charge you $1 for taking in any USPS packages that wouldn't fit in the drop box which is annoying. I mainly use the store for Amazon drop offs and have never had any issues with missing mail etc at least! read more

I came in late to send off a flat paper doll travel project my niece sent to me a month before asking me to take it places and take pictures of it and then send back. I was awful at this assignment and it was due the next day. I rushed to my local UPS store late in the afternoon and the young man who helped me couldn't have been more patient with me. He saw the mailman getting ready to jump in his truck to leave, rushed out the door, grabbed him and got my packet out to him so the doll could get to my nieces school on time! Lily helped me out with some package issues the other day and really made things easy for me. She's knowledgeable, friendly, patient, articulate, and efficient at her job. This was despite the fact she was working alone and very obviously stretched thin (as a customer I HATE seeing this because there's just no reason for it). This delightful young man grabbed an old box from the back and with a box cutter, we customize a Frankenstein box so it could be shipped. I had 8 heavy packages to return, unboxed and uncompressed. Jordan was a super star and was patient throughout the whole process; while I was going back and forth from the store to my car to carry in additional packages, he was working on boxing the ones already in store. I set aside an hour and a half to do all this and we were done in less than thirty minutes! There were also additional customers in the store and he addressed everyone promptly. Beware of this UPS location of dropping off USPS packages. They have the sign can take care of USPS shipment , so I dropped off my package through them on Dec 6,2017 at 9.15am. After few days of waiting the package still not showing any of update status, so I went back and checked with them. Both the manager and employee there were very impolite and tried to wash their hand of the shipment. Finally, after long process of tracking down the shipment with USPS hotline and I finally got the answer with it was missing or stolen. I will never go back of this UPS store for any shipment! I went to this location, thinking my important documents would get to their destination sooner and paid extra for tracking. Tracking said my documents would be there on Wednesday (10-14), however it did not leave the facility until Tuesday (10-13), so that made tracking change to Saturday (10-17), now tracking is saying delivery is arriving late, your package will arrive later than expected. If everything and I mean everything is not perfect they charge you. I have been here before and because I hadn't taped my box completely the told me to either buy a roll of tape or pay a dollar for them to apply 5 cents of tape. So I bought an overpriced roll of tape and did it myself. On my second visit I used that same roll of tape to tape everything up. But shame on me I didn't tape the label on the box. I didn't on purpose, since I wanted to be sure it was placed where they wanted it. But the jackleg in the store has to scold me and threaten to charge me to tape it on I will go somewhere else. read more

Had a box here for years but did the right thing by returning the key, and stopped service after I moved. A package was just shipped there by accident, was received, and signed for by an attendant there... but they claim they don't have it; and UPS says they don't have it either, so the package has mysteriously vanished. The bothersome part is that the store attendant refused to take the tracking number to look for the package, so how could they even know if it was there or not? On top of that they said they were too busy to talk to me about it, and directed me to call the UPS 1-800 number. The package contained a one of a kind item, so this is pretty unacceptable. read more

I will not return to the store. A scrounging, conniving, disingenuous store this is! I went in with a number of items, including a USPS 2-day flat rate box that I was going to mail at the Post Office. The agent said, "Want to give UPS a shot?" and quoted me a price for the box via USPS and UPS, with UPS being much cheaper. I wasn't sure of the price of the flat rate box at the post office and he said he didn't know, but UPS was cheaper so I went with that. As I was in a rush, I didn't notice that not only had I way overpaid (by $8 from the USPS price!) but the UPS shipment would take 5-days and totally miss the Easter deadline that the cheaper USPS 2-day flat rate would have easily made.! When I got home my wife was understandably furious. We ended up having to rebuy all the contents and mail it at the Post Office in order to have it delivered on time. An honest neighborhood-friendly clerk would have said, "Hey, it'll be much cheaper and faster if you mail it at the post office. We have an $8 surcharge and it'll take much longer." THAT would have been the decent thing to do - and greatly appreciated by this now ex-customer! I read that I'm not the only one who has run into these problems. BEWARE! read more

If I could do zero stars I would also. I echo the other reviews that the staff is extremely rude and obnoxious, and they continuously try to upsell and overcharge. This week went in for simple international postage on christmas cards and a couple of stuffed animals to ship and it turned into a unnecessarily heated exchange. I had to ask repeatedly what the cheaper option was to ship -- box or envelope -- and he kept evading the question, getting increasingly more irate and obnoxious about it. As a customer I thought I had a right to know how much things cost. Then he tried upselling me on the postage for the cards and the packages. I had a bad feeling about being taking advantage of, grabbed my stuff and left, ended up at a different place. Turns out he did want to overcharge me for everything, even the postage for the cards! Another person came in with a question about printing something and he refused to help her; literally told her "there's the computer, figure it out yourself." He refused to come from behind the counter to show me envelopes to ship. Instead he kept yelling at me which ones to look at. The customer service here is HORRENDOUS and frankly I'm questioning their business practices with how they charge for things. AVOID. Not worth the aggravation and nonsense. read more

Avoid this UPS Store! Very rude, ill-mannered and discourteous people. I went in to get a document notarized and faxed. The guy refused to notarize because he said my signature did not match the one on my driver's license. I pointed out that the one on the license is cut off on the top and bottom because it has to fit into a small rectangle. He admitted that the picture and description was me, but refused because the top and bottom of the signature (cut off by DoL) was not an exact match. Okay. I had to get trade show badges to my husband asap since he forgot them at home and needed them for the business trip he had just left for, out of state. This store is nearby and on my way to daycare. I dashed in, and the store clerk was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately I missed the last pick up for the day, but that wasn't his fault. I prepared a "goody" basket to ship to a friend and needed a box to fit the basket size. The gentleman at the store was extremely helpful and told me I could either purchase the box and pack myself or, for a fee, he would pack it for me. Not only did he put the basket in the box with protective packing material, he also wrapped the breakable items in the basket in bubble wrap and put it all back together. When he was done, the basket looked better than when I brought it in! And he did all of this in a short amount of time so the basket would be shipped that day. The fee for doing all of this work was quite reasonable and he was very helpful in providing costs for all of the shipping alternatives. Most impressive in terms of service and value received and I will use this store for all of my shipping needs in the future. read more

I was attempting to mail a box maybe a pound and half - but in a fairly large box and was told that USPS does NOT ship anything over 1 pound - that I HAD to ship via UPS. Huh - are you kidding me?! Will NEVER set foot in this store again. And yep - it sure is insulting to have some guy tell you a ridiculous lie. Figure that with that kind of attitude, there is lots of incentive for folks to go out of their way to ship through alternative stores. I don't like to give my business to dishonest folks - and I took my package elsewhere (where they didn't quote false USPS restrictions for mailing). If there was a zero star I must have given them no star. I sent a very important mail on Saturday 10/25/2014 and requested for a tracking number. Paid over 10 bucks for just an envelop with important documents. The lady said it should get to the destination within 2 business days. On Monday, I started tracking it thru the UPS store website as instructed on the receipt, but it's not found. It clearly says that if you're unable to track, you can contact the store directly. It's been over three days, I contacted the store. This guy said I should contact the USPS customer service and tell them to update their tracking system. There's NOTHING they can do. Yes, he used the exactly wording "There is nothing we can do to help" which makes me really angry. This is a very unprofessional and irresponsible feedback when I ask for help especially when they are there to provide customer service. I will definitely NOT go back for their service with this amount of money I paid. And I will start telling my family and friends in my community NOT to go there for mailing service. There's a local post office in Factoria and they are way better. If not because it was on a Saturday and it was close to where I live on a rainy day, I would have gone to the post office! Once you come here, you'll feel like USPS is a 5-star experience! They'll nickel and dime you for everything - and I mean everything. Including a $1 charge on tape the size of your thumbnail. They charge 75 cents for an envelope! No free UPS envelopes too. They'll force you to buy 75 cent envelope for shipping charge of $20 via UPS! Avoid this place like the plague. Try the FedEx Office on Gilman Blvd in Issaquah or the UPS store at Crossroads in Bellevue for a remarkably much better customer service and much lower costs. read more

I had a very upsetting incident at this UPS location in Lakemont. I usually use a different location but used this one because I was planning to shop at the nearby grocery. I had four items to ship together, two of them fragile. The owner was there and took the items from me and placed them on the counter. I emphasized that two items were very fragile and needed to be specially wrapped, showing him which two they were. He seemed unsure about what to do (that in itself was a red flag) and said "I guess I need to wrap these in something." He walked a few steps to the back, with another younger employee, apparently looking for wrapping supplies. One of the fragile items, which he had placed near the edge of the counter on his side, suddenly fell off onto the floor, shattering and spilling contents all over. He walked back to see the mess and asked what happened. I told him the fragile item fell off the counter and shattered, and was a special gift for my daughter. I told him the item should not have been placed so close to the edge. He then got upset and said he was not responsible and that I probably nudged the item off the counter! Even though this was an accident, it was very upsetting that he refused to take any responsibility, or apologize, or offer any sympathetic words. Instead, he accused me of causing the accident. This item was not replaceable either. This was one of the worst examples of customer service I have ever experienced. I took the rest of my items and told him I was going to use another UPS store, and that I was very disappointed and angry at his words and behavior. Then a year or so ago it was sold to a new owner, and the whole place fell apart. I've been using it consistently for over a year now for simple package drop offs and have never encountered a bad experience. The service I've received is always friendly and fast. The store itself is easy to access and clean. I've been to other locations that are disasters (piles of boxes, bad parking, unfriendly employees, long lines, etc), but this one is great.
