What needs Store you could potentially have a PO Box here I personally came in to get fingerprinted for another clearance for the State that worked great. The owner was so friendly, fast and efficient. He was working by himself. He had a fully booked day. I was the first client of the day he got me in and out he asked why I was taking pictures and I explained to him how wonderful the yelp community is and to help get the word out. He's located here off Bellevue Way in the Hawthorne Hills shopping Mart center. I would definitely say go in and support the small business he's a great staple in the area and the value is very reasonable. I picked up some Seattle souvenirs for some of my friends and other states picked up a cute little tote bag and all I went in for his fingerprinting so I would definitely say check him out he's got school supplies. I would give this zero stars if I could. This is the worst mailing business I've ever encountered. Last week, I went in to return a product. I had the return mailing label and the product in its original packaging, though I thought I might need an external box. The employee at Pak Mail told me he would tape the original packaging and stick the return label on, but he'd charge me $10 for this service. I was shocked at how expensive that was, but before I could respond, he said he had already scanned the product into their system and couldn't return it to me. Reluctantly, I pulled out my credit card and mentioned that he should've told me about the charge before scanning the product. His response? "You as a customer have every right to ask beforehand." Really?? What kind of attitude is that? Isn't his job as a service provider to inform his customers? I let it go and paid the $10, even though it felt like a rip-off. But here's the kicker: today, the product was returned to my house. For that $10, he didn't even bother to attach the return label to the package before sending it to UPS! This experience was beyond frustrating. Poor communication, unprofessional attitude, and a failure to perform the service I paid for. He has now decided to charge $5 to $20 depending on the size, for receiving packages when, on the company's website, it states that Pak Mail will accept packages from all major carriers, including FedEx, UPS, USPS, and DHL." And I have been receiving my packages here at no additional charge for 11 years. Plus, he has created an odd array of items for sale: soap, cheap kid toys, statues of the space needle, soup, trucker hats, shot glasses...very strange. And on top of that, he is rude, rude, rude. Not a fan of the new owners at all. We are taking our business elsewhere after many years . 1. they doubled the annual price of the mailbox to more than any other provider in the region. 2. One day they put up a sign that Large boxes receiving will incur a handling fee. 3. Then with no notice they pencil in on the sign that $5-10 fees will apply to Small, Medium boxes as well. Sorry No, I am not going to pay $5 PER a small package, (on a maybe $20 item & on top of paying above market rates for a mailbox) just for the package to sit on a rack until I drive there and pick it up. It's not that busy of a place, the incremental handling costs nothing, certainly not $5. So FYI The UPS Store is 10% cheaper for a mailbox, they dont have arbitrary fees, they have email notification, and their staff is extremely courteous and professional. read more

Grossly over priced with aggressive sales tactics and offensively rude customer service. Don't take my word for it, check out the attached pictures for proof. Nas was my sales rep, who is the same name you will see in other one star reviews on Yelp and Google. It is a small operation, so likely the person most of us will get if you walk into the store. If you don't have time to read this or the other one star reviews, then you definitely don't have time to waste dealing with this company. Details: I was shipping an item pre-packaged in a wood crate from the manufacturer. Packmail offered me what they refer to as a "deeply discounted" shipping rate seen in the attached invoice of $765. For comparison, I also included a screenshot of what others subsequently quoted me to ship this very item to the same address ($300 when I include residential pickup from my home with a liftgate truck or $200 if you don't require that service and load it onto the truck directly). Pack mail didn't include pickup in their price. I drove it to their store. Nas was upset that I had this knowledge on fair market shipping rates, rude in his response and indicated "If I know so much about shipping, I shouldn't take advantage of their services." I had already told him I had no issue paying $150 above retail rates and wasn't looking to save a few bucks, but $150 above retail was insufficient. Seriously? I thought I was supporting a local biz, who clearly has access to even better rates than I do and $150 markup above retail to ship an item professionally packaged by manufacturer is more than reasonable. . Clearly they wanted to gouge me on the sale. No problem, I stated I wish to get my item back and take my biz elsewhere. They responded back unless I was able to immediately pick the item back up from their store, I was left with no other option than to pay. They knew I was leaving for Montana when I dropped the item off so this was not an option to pick up until the following week. (Reference other reviews that cite the storage fee, short on space excuse, and other high pressure tactics, etc). On top of the price being absurd, Nas noted it was *deeply discounted* off their normal rate of $1390 (repeat customer discount, terminal fee waiver, etc). Yes, if you are a new customer you would have paid even more. It appears $625 more! More than likely, it is just a made up discount. Regardless, this level of discounting alone is a huge red flag as it documents just how crazy of a markup they would "normally" apply. The alternative explanation is these are marketing tactics to make the customer feel good if they don't know true costs. Get educated and go to freightcenter.com to get actual rate quotes in 2 clicks. Here are examples of rates I recently paid in the past 12 months to show how crazy this rate quote is: pinball machine (4x the size and 3x the weight) via air cargo from Australia to Seattle is less expensive to ship than pakmails pre-discount rates on this smaller/lighter item. A chartered 22 wheeler semi truck full of timber with no other cargo from Montana to Whistler, BC is only 2x the prediscount pakmail prices for a 150 lb 14in wide poster display. Uhhhh? Yeah.... High pressures sales tactics include: Would not provide even a ballpark estimate range of shipping costs when I dropped off the fully packaged item off. Nobody else was in the store. It was 30 mins before closing. Knew I was heading out of town next day and said they would call with an estimate, but when they emailed the estimate they told me unless I took the offer I would have to immediately pickup the item or I had no other option than accept their price, which was obviously infeasible when I am two states away on travel. Performed work on the item I never requested or authorized (inspected interior contents despite me showing pictures of the inside on drop off, wrapped wood crate in shrink wrap, added 2x4 foot to bottom of crate - even though we explicitly discussed it was not required at drop off). Alternative businesses to consider: Craters & Freighters will pickup, pack and ship any item. They are honest and polite. I had them crate up 7 paintings for me over several years. If you already have the item packed up and just need LTL shipping go to: freightcenter.com. You will save a ton. You may also want to try North American Van Lines for household items you don't want to pack up. They have wrapped pinball machines in blankets and shipped coast to coast for $400. Never an issue. Nas will invariably respond to the review and point out how it was the customers fault. Reference all other biz responses to the one star reviews on google and yelp, where the biz takes no responsibility for the poor customer experience. Read those reviews. I surely wish I had done so. Save yourself a headache and major money. If you are a new customer, bring extra money as you won't get the same $625 discount as I thankfully got. :) read more

Unfortunately this team is extremely rude and unethical. I was so disappointed with our experience working with these folks. We had an urgent shipping request that needed special packaging/handling during COVID and were looking for a vendor that was well equipped to help ensure that the items could be shipped safely. However, Nas applied extreme high pressure on us, pushing us to leave the items with him for several days and ended up tossing them into a box like it was going in a dumpster. Meanwhile, every day we were receiving multiple phone calls to inflate the price and work being done, with multiple reassurances that they were professionals who were diligently packing the items with extreme care. It wasn't until we saw with our own eyes what an extreme mess everything was. The worst part is that the team decided to take advantage of the opportunity and fraudulently charge $1100 on our card with no authorization. We never signed a contract or approved a quote, but the PakMail team decided to extort us during a vulnerable time, taking anything and everything they could. Extremely disappointing and unethical. Avoid this place at ALL COSTS. The owner, Nas, is incredibly unethical. First, when you reach out to them for a quote, he might give you one. But he'll contact you immediately after and apply high pressure to bring all of your items into the store to get a "real" / "accurate" estimate. What he conveniently doesn't tell you is that he'll take all of your items, pack it into a box/crate without notifying you, then start racking up the labor/material hours -- all in the name of getting you a "real" estimate. By forcing you to bring in your items to get a "real estimate," he's actually trying to lock you into a payment. It's an extremely unethical business practice. When I went to reclaim my property, Nas also tried to threaten me with an extra "storage fee" without having mentioned storage fees at any point up until that day. And finally, he tried to get me to sign a blanket invoice under the guise of "releasing" my own property back to me. Absolute insanity. Do yourself a favor and avoid everything about Pakmail and Nas in particular. Other reviews on here mention that he's incredibly rude and unhelpful, I should have listened. And you can add unethical to the list. Don't make my mistake folks! The kicker is, when Pakmail put everything in a crate (racking up labor hours without communicating any charges to me), the end product was absolutely terrible. went today for passport photos. I sat down and within 15 seconds the man working there (who claimed to just be an employee but something about him makes me think he's the owner) had taken a photo on his digital camera and asked me to wait a few minutes for them to be printed. No other customers were in the store while i waited about 2-3 mins for the photos to be printed. I was then handed my photos. Two of them about 3" x 3". The photos were AWFUL and it looked like i was staring up at the sky. I kindly asked the gentleman why i wasn't asked to approve the photos before they were printed (which seems like common sense if i were in this industry, as this would take 2 seconds). The man replied "this was brought up in a company meeting once and we were told not to have customers approve photos because they will ask us to re-take the pictures too many times." To which I replied "why not take 10 digital photos in 5 seconds and have the customer tell you which once they want to use?" Seems simple. Anyways I asked him if I could re-take the photo that will be on my passport for the next 10yrs. He said sure but that he would be charging me double ($18.99 x 2). I told him that seemed a bit unfair, and if I could please get a discount since i wasn't actually purchasing two sets, he told me no that his "system wouldn't allow it." I paid for the 1st set, left, and went to another passport photo office and got exactly what I was looking for. Don't go to Pak Mail. The owner is petty and lacks common sense. HORRBLE SERVICE. I called at 5:32 pm and "Nas" was the person that handled my call I asked to send 2 letters to Aberdeen, WA. And that I needed them to be delivered to the addresses by Friday 1/15 He recommended priority mail and told me that they will be delivered the next day. I made the payment and order through the phone. I checked the tracking number on USPS on 1/14, and found that they haven't been delivered to the USPS store yet to be delivered. I called at 4:06pm to confirm that they will still be delivered by Friday 1/15, and the same person answered the phone. After i asked about the issue he put me on hold for a few minutes, then came back telling me (in a VERY rude way) that he said the delivery time is not guaranteed, as he told me yesterday, which he didnt not. I specifically requested the option that would have them delivered by Friday. I told him that this did not happen. HIs repsonse was that I chose the most economic option, which is not true because all that mattered is that it gets delivered on Friday,"Nas" also told me not to panic and to be patient in. a very rude way, then he added "Next time you should go do it yourself" while shouting. When I asked for his name he said "Nas" and I asked for his last name he said "we dont provide last names" . I went there to get an estimate on an A/C that I was returning and he absolutely refused to give me one. I did not want to haul the A/C there since it is heavy. Since he refused, I asked him what he wanted, and he said the weight and dimensions (assuming I did not have them), but I had those details and he still refused to give me estimates. I wasn't even asking him for exact binding estimates (ie. nothing he signs), just ballpark ones, but he was pretty rude about it. Been using them for a few years now. Loved the former owners but I've seen a new level of service since Nas took over. Recently I needed to ship quite a few items to a family member living cross country after my Dad passed away. Nas suggested we create a shipping pallet to ensure everything arrived at once and in pristine condition. They created a pallet from cardboard, supported it all, packed each item with great care and even delayed shipping at my request. Today it arrived and I was here to receive the package and unpack it myself. Each item was perfect. Avoid at all costs! You would be much better off dealing with UPS, FedEx or USPS directly than dealing with this outfit. In particular, Nas is unhelpful and rude. After accepting over $450 to have a rug shipped from Bellevue to the east coast via FedEx they refused to correct the delivery address when there was an easy solution of putting the correct zip code with the address. Even USPS will immediately correct such an error and deliver the package. When I contacted Fedex about remedies they said that they absolutely would have corrected the zip code if Nas had simply asked and the package would have been delivered. Now my package is still in Bellevue and I am out $450 and PakMail would not even get on the phone with me and Fedex as they knew they messed up on this.
